Paid $67 plus tip to get my face washed, not an actual facial that was listed on the Groupon. As stated, I found this company on Groupon for 60 minute deep pore cleansing facial and one diamond tip microdermabrasion. When I called to make the appointment and let them know I found them on Groupon the tech told me not to purchase the Groupon they would honor the price. The facial lasted approximately 30 minutes. We went into the room at 1110 and were done alittle before 1142am. The facial consisted of her washing my face, a mask and ultrasonic light. When I inquired about the microdermabrasion, she claimed that it would dry my skin. I've had the deep pore cleanse and microdermabrasion at previous salons but since this place was close to me and it was inexpensive I thought I would try it. This was a 30 minute face wash. Well I was duped. I should have purchased the voucher on Groupon and I would have gotten an additional discount. I do not recommend if you are using Groupon and if you do, purchase through Groupo. read more

This was my first time here. I wanted to give a local salon a try. I got a full highlight done. I have always been very lucky and happy with all my hair dyes. I never had anyone do such a horrible job before. My roots looks like leopard print. The roots are 3 distinctive colors within a 1/4 inch space! It looks obviously uneven. I was embarrassed to even tuck my hair behind my ears because it was so noticeable. I called and the person had me come in to fix it. She assure me that she could redo it and it wasn't a problem. After 1 1/2 hours, she dried my hair and I looked in the mirror and said well I can still see it and her response was "it's not so bad." Not so bad?! I didn't pay in total of $160 for not so bad. I am so upset that I didn't take a before photo. I really wanted to love this place too. Truly disappointed. read more

I really wanted to like this place because Anh is so sweet, but my hair just didn't turn out right. I got a full set of highlights and it turned out spotty and chunky. I went back and she tried to correct it, but it didn't help. I unfortunately won't be going back. My first time to get a facial and I am already hooked. Heather did a great job explaining to me what all she was doing and how things would feel to me. Iris did a great job on my hair and made some excellent recommendations how what to do for my hair since it was so dry after I had been under anesthesia for surgery on my ankle. This was my first time here and I won't be back. The stylist thinned my hair so much without asking!! I barely have anything left and I'm so upset. She also said my hair was too tangled, so she needed to cut it after blow drying it. I said fine. She ended up straightening in order to do that, and then charged me extra for it! It was a gift from my husband to have 6 laser hair removal sessions, mind you this is my first time trying this salon out and this treatment, I had the last session recently and there is no difference on my hairs, I had it done all over my body, I spoke to the owner and told her the treatment was not working, she wanted me to come in for more sessions with a discount. I was not a happy customer because I heard from friends that have the same thickness of hair as me and same skin color going to other places and the treatments worked well on them in just 6 sessions. In between sessions they had a machine changed and forgot to call me for my next session, they made me paid the first 3 sessions the whole amount, when they specifically told my husband I would pay as I go. I think after I paid the service was not the same. At one point they lost their notes and did not know what service I was getting done. I am currently looking for another laser hair removal treatment that is professional and will get the job done. Do not waste your money here! read more

I went in for a facial on a Groupon deal I purchased to find a new place for facials for myself and for my teenage daughter as we had moved into the area. The salon is conveniently located, very clean and nicely setup for clients' comfort. My aesthetician was Heather. She did a fantastic job! She is super sweet, and took her time to educate and discuss any areas of concerns. I ended up getting eyelash extensions as well. They came out perfect. I'm pretty picky. I really liked my experience at Luxe but I don't like how they handle their pricing. In my experience, if you're getting a full color and highlights, you're not charged on top of that for a haircut. I know, I know, I shouldn't assume but I've honestly never been charged this way and I've been "blonde" for over 10 years... Imagine my surprise at checkout when they rang me up for the color, highlights, and $55 more for the haircut!! Wow! What to do? I paid of course and tipped on the charged amount. Anh even said this was a special price. I know I'm new around here but geez!! Maybe it's because she takes so long? My girl in Conroe had me in and out in two hours. This visit was THREE. I like my little old spot in Pearland where all the old schoolers go and get their haircuts. I'm not saying I'm old, but that's just what I'm used to and I'm not too big on change. Well, my son refuses to go there. His generation changes hairstyles quite frequently, so he prefers a place where they have properly trained stylists. My wife did some research and found Luxe. We set up an appointment last minute, and they easily accommodated our requests. The salon is in a strip center with a few restaurants and next to a eye doctor and flooring company. Walking in, it feels like a really nice, trendy salo. We had an appointment with Ahn who had great reviews from what we read. She was ready to go as soon as we got there. My wife showed her pics of what my son and her had envisioned for his style. We weren't too sure how short we wanted it on the sides, but Ahn had no problems with starting long and going shorter if needed. She made a good point in that we can fix long, but she can't add hair back if we thought it was too short. She was patient with us and smiled the whole time as we wanted to go shorter after she had already cut one size all around. His style came out perfect and they even shampoo and rinse when done. She gave him tips on how to maintain it as well. My wife out of curiosity asked about getting her hair done soon, and Ahn sat her down and they had an in depth talk about what they were going to do. She mentioned Ahn was very knowledgeable and answered all her questions. My wife will be back soon for her style and coloring. I think my wife and kids have found their new spot to get pretty and pampered! read more

Just had a great first experience at Luxe. Was a little nervous when I called, because the receptionist seemed to have trouble hearing me, but I got an appointment easily. When I got there they were very nice. Anh was amazing, she listened really well and was super clear about her idea. I have extremely curly thick hair, but she handled it no problem and did an awesome cut and style that's easy to live with. She even told me the best ways to do it myself at home. Overall service was great, price was fair and the place was clean and comfortable. The only thing was it's kind of dark and the music was a little strange. I'll definitely be back. read more

I will admit that I am a pretty picky woman when it comes to salons. I am quite the perfectionist and a bit of a snob. I was thrilled, after moving out of the inner city into Pearland, to find a hip salon like Luxe. The salon itself is absolutely adorable. The women at the front were so nice and helpful that I ended up getting brow threading, and mani and pedi even though I just went into to get a brochure. I sat down first with the threader, she explained to me everything she was doing and talked to me about her facials. I am not a fan of facials but I was willing to give it a try pending the results of my first visit. I was only sitting in the chair for a few moments before I was offered some water but I was a little confused when a woman walked past me, wearing a robe clearly getting her hair dyed, and said "we will be right with you." I thought, how strange that a customer would tell me that they would be right with me. The threading was lighting fast and pretty good. I have been lucky in that I have never had a botched threading job (knock on wood). After the threading I went and sat down with who I took to be the makeup artist. I say this because she had been doing a woman's makeup when I walked in...I picked out a very pale and neutral OPI color, seemingly much to the dismay of the manicurist but this didn't bother me a bit, they are my nails! I sat down with her and started making small talk, she was very sweet and personable. As she started painting my nails she even complimented me on how pretty and healthy my natural nails were and began to like my nail color choice. I really did like her. Now here is where they start to lose me...The threading lady came up to the other manicurist doing my mother's nails and asked if she could borrow her straightener. I know, not a huge deal, but when I asked if the manicurist also did hair, my manicurist said, "well she really does hair and just helps me out with nails sometimes." I then noticed that the "customer" getting her hair colored was actually at this point sitting in a chair and doing her own hair. Turns out she was NOT a customer...I believe she was an owner if I remember correctly. I then asked my manicurist if she did makeup and she replied, " no that was just a friend of mine." This certainly was not something I was used to. The salon seemed like more of a girls "primping party" than a professional salon. I was however, willing to overlook this since everyone was so nice and the salon was so cute and hip. This is where they lost me COMPLETELY!!! Like I said, I picked out a very pale neutral OPI color for my hands and feet. My mother picked out a white Shellac for her nails. Her manicure was pretty bad. The shellac was thick and bubbly, It really was the worst shellac job I had ever experienced. I tried to advocate the salon by telling my mom that she wasn't the normal manicurist and that next time she will just have to ask for my girl. When I got out into the light I noticed some definite imperfections with my manicure but I shrugged it off knowing that I am a bit pickier than the average woman. It was pale color, I could deal with it. About 4 days later, I decided to take the polish off at home, as it was starting to grow out. As soon as I took the polish off, horror insued. My nails were stained the most shocking hue of yellow I have EVER seen. My toes and nails look terrifying!! I saw her use base coat and like I said the color was so pale that I have no idea how this could have happened. They are so yellow in fact that I went one day without repainting them and 4 people came up to me to tell me that I may have a LIVER DISORDER!!! I even went to get checked out by my doctor thinking that it couldn't possibly be staining from this mani pedi. Turns out my nails really are just stained by their products. It has been a month now since that mani/pedi. I have tried numerous whitening "tricks" to no avail. My nails at this point are ruined until they grow out and I am pretty sick about it. I do realize that the manicurist is not completely to blame but there is something SERIOUSLY wrong with their products!!! I will never go back there again! All in all, my bad review is for both the unprofessionalism in the salon and the inferior products that have ruined my nails until they grow out. Alas, the salon is new, and clearly not ept to the stiff competition a few miles away (in the city). They have potential to be a success if they boost their professionalism and maybe revamp their products. I wish them well...but first impressions are everything in that business. They certainly lost a client. PS. My mother's shellac manicure started chipping the very next day :/....Definitely a sign of inferior products. SORRY LADIES FOR THE BAD REVIEW.
