One thing I always appreciate as someone who's been sober for years is that I never felt out of place ordering a nonalcoholic drink while enjoying a cigar. A great cigar lounge isn't just about what's in your glass, it's about slowing down, having a conversation, and enjoying the moment. Casa de Montecristo gets that. My favorite part was a nice end cap display with their stock of the Cogar Aficionado's top 25 cigars for the 2025 year. Plenty of cool display areas for buying your next new humidor, or an ashtray. I didn't get into the members only lounge, but would be interested. Also, there are plenty of TV's and comfy, plush, leather chairs to relax in while you burn one. My only negative for this location is a lack of a bar to serve a nice scotch or other whiskey while enjoying the smoke. But as this is not my regular location, no complaints.

To back this up, an employee turned the computer around and showed me the list of premade discounts with the first one reading: "10% off with valid reason." ???? When I pointed it out and told her that the deal on their validated Yelp page seemed like a pretty valid reason, I was told that it was not. Another employee then tried to mansplain business and bottom lines to me. ??? Yes, I do understand that a business must make its bottom line, and that means making sure marketing initiatives are in line with that bottom line. It also kind of seemed like the employees didn't understand what the Yelp discount was. I was met with a slew of questions like "but that's on your Yelp account," unable to understand that the offer is displayed on everybody's Yelp. I was told that 1. The owner gets really mad if they allow 10% discounts 2. The owner controls the Yelp page. ???? In my mind, that meant that the owner would know about the Yelp discount, right? But I guess it wasn't communicated to the employees? I'm not sure, but it sounds like not a lot of top-down communication is happening, leaving the customers SOL. I even emailed the owner using the store's business email, and I received no response. It just kind of hurt my head dealing with these folks. And honestly, I only purchased the item because the saleswoman (Lauren) was so nice; it wasn't even the color I wanted which made all of this even more painful. The last thing I want to say is that while the employee tried to explain business principles to wittle ol me, I should have probably explained marketing to him, and detailed that a bad customer experience and a bad review is going to lose a lot more money than the 10% offer I was trying to redeem.

Jeremy Hill made the class enjoyable and I learned a lot about JURA and Tamnavulin. The class had snacks which were really not much as it was just really cheese slices and crackers. But Jeremy Hill made the class enjoyed. After the class I shopped the store but found NO employees around to help me so I decided to leave. Great place to attend a class.

I suppose parking may be challenging at peak times, but I was able to easily get a curbside pickup which they moved next to the entrance so it was very convenient.
