I did feel a little awkward because I got a mani and pedi and had accidentally splashed some water during the pedicure and a piece of the sink/tub fell off. I did feel that after the splash she was a bit rough on my callus and hands where I got a little bit of a cut on my finger. She also shook the callus cleaner and skin came out BEFORE starting to work on my feet aka someone else's pieces of skin. I saw another Google post and 100% agree. This place doesn't seem to be 100% on top of sanitation. I apologized profusely because I felt bad about the splash, but I was not 100% happy about the rough service.I honestly should have just given 15% but because I know it's around the holidays I wanted to be nicer. At the end my gel mani also looked lighter color than the sample nail. She said it was too late unless she took it off. I thought adding tips or extra layer could help. It could be the style but it definitely looked lighter than the sample nail. My 20% tip would have been $17. I ended up giving $25. I called and made an appointment for an acrylic fill. He asked if any nails were broken and I said no, but some were lifting. this was not a problem to him and he restated back to me to confirm time and that it was an acrylic fill. I showed up for my appt and was sent to a lady and never given an option or chance to pick out my nail color. it was my first time here and I'm in from out of town. They started to remove nails and buff them with the drill and my nails were burning and I kept pulling away and stating that it was hurting. She continued to do what she was doing despite me stating I was in pain and pulling away. I had to get up and go to the bathroom because I started crying and didn't know what to do and was in so much pain. I went back and sat down and stated she was now conducting a service on me that I was not only not familiar with, but that I also had never asked for. Mind you, I've been getting my nails done for years and have received tons of different services. she then told me I had to do this service and that I couldn't get what I had made an appointment for and asked for which was acrylic, but failed to communicate to me before she started doing it and never asked if this is something I was okay with. I sat at the table with my hands in hers crying in pain and unsure of what to do as I continued to tell and show her I was in pain. i didn't know if I should leave and excuse myself from the service and then be left with nails I wasn't sure how to care for or remove and go to a different place or just let her continue and hope they'd turn out okay and that the pain would stop. It eventually did get better and she thanked me for "patience" and said next time to book the service she gave me that day and said it would be better next time like there would ever be a next time. Then they tried to charge me 105 dollars for a service I never asked for and for an experience that honestly completely traumatized me and caused/ left me in so much pain. the pricing on the screen did not match the price he stated so I questioned it to which he then explained it to me but it still hardly made any sense. I explained I wasn't comfortable paying this amount as I received a seevice I never asked for and cried in pain almost the entirety of my appointment. He brought the total down to about 89 dollars and I paid it and left. I would not recommend this place to anyone and I'm not one to ever leave a review let anyone one of this depth and negativity. I however just wanted to thoroughly explain my experience in hopes of this NEVER happening to anyone else. I am beyond disappointed and frustrated and feel completely violated and dismissed. I was able to book an appointment online easily and was taken right in when I arrived. *quick side note - there are two Luxi Nail & Spa's on Elizabeth Ave - across the street from each other! Double Check the address if you're using a map tool like Waze or Google Back to my service - both my mani and pedi were done by the same quiet and polite young woman. Neither service was exceptionally good or bad. My nails look great, cuticles are clean, and generally, it was just a decent experience. I would definitely come back - the price can't be beat. No....just absolutely no. I came here because I was desperate for dip powder because so couldn't make it to my regular salon. Well...I won't do it again. When I was there the woman doing my nails was SO AGGRESSIVE!!! I had to snatch my hand away because she was burning my nail with the drill. I asked her to be more gentle because my nails are sensitive. Did she listen? NO!!!! I snatched my hand away again and shot a look at her which helped....a bit. Now 1 week later, my nails look a HOT MESS. One nail literally broke within 3 days. Since then, my top coat has chipped off, and several nails are cracked. One week later and $50 down the toilet. I really thought this spa was upscale and considered for the clients. I went in to have a hard gel refill and left at 7pm yesterday. By the time I got home, one of my finger hard gel chipped. I called this morning to have it repaired and they told me " they can't guarantee it won't chip without a full new set of hard gel" WHAT??? I just left less than 15 hours and now your asking me to pay? So unprofessional. I just paid $55 plus tip and now they to charge me $10, not to mention, my time to drive back to the spa. This is so greedy. If my nail polish chipped and I was there the evening before, as a curesty and good business practice, it should be repaired free of charge. So BEWARE!!! First of this place doesn't even deserve one review. I decided to go here today bc my salon is a little bit out of the way and I am leaving for vacation tonight. (But now I have to drive there anyway to fix my nails) I had an older lady named Annie. She was nice only cause she kept complimenting me. But despite that, she was an awful nail tech. I came in for a simple pedicure and gel manicure. I'll let the photos speak for itself. They also had a price discrepancy. First I was told it was going to be $55 then Annie attempted to change it on me and said $60. I wasn't going to tip her but she was hovering while I was paying. So I felt forced. They also don't accept tip on debt cards so I was forced to use their sketchy atm to tip Annie $10 for a shitty ass job. She also told me that normally they would charge extra for an additional coat? This place is solid and they know what they're doing. I won't rehash all the perks that come with a manicure because the other reviews do that already - they're great. The color selection is great, and on a Saturday afternoon my friend and I had no wait for gel manis/regular pedis, even though the place was packed. They're well staffed and open to high volumes. One thing I'll note, which was noted below as well, is that the lady who did my mani and pedi was in a bad mood and not very friendly. It didn't completely take away from the experience because I was chit-chatting with my friend, but immediately after I was done, she got up and said, "Pay now!" It was odd and rude. She and the other manicurist were also openly having a conversation about my friend's short nails in Spanish, thinking that we didn't understand. Reviewing while drying---- Place is super nice! Pedicures range $20-$25 bucks. A pedi here will cost you the high end of $25. That said it is def worth it. The salon itself is very nice. No stained drop ceiling tiles here. Decor is recessed lighting, crown molding and a huge back lit banner on the wall with the salon name. Massage pedicure chairs are the nicest I've seen too. Also you get a little mini massage with your services. They use high end lotion here too (not just refill the nice bottle with generic stuff). If your not on a tight tight budget give this place a try. read more

We made appointments for gel mani and gel pedi and were rushed through the whole thing. The person doing the pedicure did a good job but the manicure was the worst I've ever had. They started our manicures while we were getting pedis and it was very uncomfortable. I asked for coffin shaped nails and the woman immediately cut them so pointed that I had to ask her to switch it to oval. The shape was horrendous and rough. the polish was patchy and didn't cover the nail properly. I had to go to another salon the next day and get my mani completely redone. Greeted with a check for temperature and to read a questionnaire regarding COVID then for the customer to sign to acknowledge if responses are "no" for all five responses. I stopped in here on my way home from work last night for a manicure. My first impression walking in was that is was massive, and kind of a major production. They have (9) chairs for manicures, and they were all filled, they have (10) seats for pedicures and they were hopping as well. There was so many people in here, i have never been in a nail salon that had so many people. (i was in around 6:00 PM) I guess i haven't been going to the most up to date nail salons because this was my first experience with an "LED" light for the gel manicure, rather than the "UV" light that i am accustomed to. When i first put my hand in the light, i jerked it out so fast because it felt as if a match had been lit on my nails. She explained it was LED, and it would be that hot for a few seconds. She also advised that it happens to some people but not all. She was right, it was a split second but i literally jumped out of my chair. Overall, she did a wonderful job. She was very attentive to the shape, the prep of my nail (removing the existing gel) and repairing a tear down on my thumb nail. She was very thorough, and did a great job. I will give the pedicure a shot in 2 weeks when i return for a manicure. I would expect that they are busy on the weekends, based on the activity on a Wednesday night. Overall, my only negative comment would be that i thought they were on the expensive side - $45 for the manicure. read more

I first tried Luxi Nails 8 weeks ago. Still Five stars.. I was new in town and planning to try several salons, but I never felt the need to go anywhere else. I've been to Luisa 4 times for gel manicure with painted designs. She is infinitely patient and meticulous. I have to say I am disappointed they don't do Chrome, powder, tape, or decals/stencils, but so far Luisa's artistry has been plenty. This week, I am forced to schedule with a new tech (yes, they're that booked, even a week in advance) so I'll see if the magic holds. PS -- don't blame them for my 70 year old hands. BTW, it's very handicapped accessible/comfortable. November 23: haven't been back to Luxi for awhile although I may return because they do give lovely manicures. Their salon is impeccable and Luisa does lovely work, but they are expensive and, as I mentioned above, there were just too many techniques that were not available. read more

It has now been 20 days since I got this gel french manicure and I had to write a review and take a photo because every other place I've been to does not last more than 10 days. I have been going to this salon for a long time now and I've always loved it. But this past Monday 1/13/20 I got a gel manicure in the color (G01 I believe) and unfortunately I forgot to take a picture of the final product. The next day I realized the color was fading as you can see in the first picture. I went back Wednesday 1/15/20 and asked to get a new color because it was outrageous it's fading after 2 days. I told them I did not do anything to make it fade so I kindly asked for a new color. She said I would've had to paid $15 ON TOP of what I paid 2 days prior. When I said no that's crazy, she said all they could do was put another coat. They kept asking me what I did for the color to fade and I kept saying it wasn't me it was the color! After they put the new coat of the same color I tipped the girl that did my nails $2 and walked out. The redone nails are the second picture. I took a picture of what my nails look like today 1/17/20. The nail polish is bad and they didn't believe me when I told them. Definitely never coming back and I will find a better place. read more

I decided to give this place 2 chances before writing a review. I'll give the pros and cons: Pros: Barely no wait time Friendly service Great manicure Cons: Sns doesn't even last a week Limited colors for sns Lacking sns experience Here's what happened. I have had SNS in the past and it lasted close to 3 weeks with no chips. I loved to jersey and stopped by this place to see if they offered SNS, they said yes. I can back on a different date to have my nails done. When I came in I was greeted promptly. I told them I wanted SNS, there seemed to be confusion about SNs. It didn't seem like anyone knew how to do it but offered the service anyway. I had three different ladies during the first ten minutes start my manicure. Then after I finally had one lady doing my nails, another lady looked over us and seemed be telling her how to do it. At the end of the manicure the top coat didn't seem to be shiny so this other lady brought over a different top coat. I'm not even sure if it was the correct one. Well, the end result was not the color I wanted. It didn't even look a little bit like the color of the sample but I was okay with it. My nails did look great despite all of the issues during the process. They started chipping after 4 days. I was super upset as SNS costs more than a gel manicure, $40 to be exact. So I was upset about paying $40 for a manicure that didn't last. I came back a week later to give them another chance. I believe I had the same lady as I had for the last manicure. All seemed to go much better than the last time and my manicure looked amazing when I was done. Well, here I am 4 days later with chipped nails again and $40 in he hole plus tip for both visits. I don't know what the problem is but if this salon doesn't know how to correctly provide an SNS manicure then it shouldn't be offered. A regular manicure would have lasted longer and cost me a lot less. I won't be back again. Sad because my nails looked amazing despite the fact that they didn't last a week. read more

I decided to go to this place for the original review by Shayna F. The place is huge, clean and had nine people working when I arrived. On a Saturday, I had *no* wait for a pedicure, which in and of itself was amazing. The employees talk in hushed voices as to not bother the other patrons. I brought my own color, so I didn't mind the selection much but it did look pretty extensive. I think I saw OPI too, which is always a plus. They take a long time working on you, trying to make it a relaxing event. The chair massage during the pedicure is the best I've ever had, hands down. The hot rock massage was also a spa-like nice touch. I will definetely return for a pedicure, and would like to try some of their spa services that they offer (facials, massage, etc). The $25 is a little more than some other local places for a pedicure, but it was very worth it. read more

I bit the bullet and tried a new place for a pedicure because I was in a pinch and this place is just down the road from me. Reviews were pretty good so it seemed like I would be pleased as I am quite particular with my nail services. As soon as I walked in I had a bad feeling. I was never greeted hello. I asked for a pedicure and just stood there while 5 employees starred at me. I proceeded to locate, on my own, where their polish colors were. Selection was good. Then one of the workers asked if I wanted a pedicure. YES I WANT ONE THAT'S WHAT I SAID WHEN I WALKED IN! Based on the reviews I thought this place would be equipped to handle some basic requests like remembering to not getting my legs scrubbed after I made the request and purchasing my own utensils for hygienic reasons. I don't mind spending the money on good service but the service is terrible and the employees were rude. If you're going to charge more than other places in the area you better have the service to justify the price. Now I always ask to purchase my own utensils. Most places charge $5, they wanted $15. I also usually get my calluses removed, $5-7 at most places. They wanted $10 on top of a 15 minute $25 pedicure. Again if it were worth it I would have been HAPPY to pay. But it was not in the least bit. Please find a better nail salon in the area. I'll never be back. Sticking with Just for You Nails in Warren. read more

Owners are very nice, and all the nail technicians are very good, both the koreans and south American nail techs, I've been to 5 or 6 different ladies there and they are all super nice and very talented. My favorite is Rosa, but Jenny, Gina, Annie and Maria are also great! My friend and I went here in late July for manicures and pedicures and loved it so much, we returned for manicures a week or so later. We made appointments, not that we would've waited very long without them. The place is very clean and gives off a relaxing vibe. Everyone who worked on us (six people in total) was friendly and professional. My pedicure was two weeks ago and still looks as fresh as they day they did it. (My fingernails are a different story, but I don't blame them for that: I'm really rough on my nails!) Firstly, when I stepped into the store, I got a warm welcome from the workers and they offered to take my coat (felt like I was treated very well).
