I arrived for my scheduled appointment only to find the door locked. When I called, I was told to drive to their Somerset location instead, which operates under a different name, Akari Nails. It was confusing and inconvenient to only learn this after arriving. Wanting to give them another chance, I later made an appointment for a full gel set and pedicure and returned to the Manville location. The salon smelled strongly of mildew, and I was the only customer there. I specifically asked the technician to keep the length of my toenails and only reshape them. Instead, she cut nearly half the length off both big toenails and even used cuticle nippers to cut the corners of my big toes out. The pedicure was so poorly done that I left before even getting my hands done. I contacted the owner, sent photos, and requested a refund. Instead, she asked me to come to the Somerset location the following day so they could repair the damage with acrylic. After driving there in rush-hour traffic, I spent about 30 minutes waiting while employees called around trying to figure out who I was. They eventually put me on the phone with someone who told me I could either have my pedicure fixed or receive a refund. Since I had already made the trip, I chose to have it fixed. After waiting even longer with no resolution, I asked for the refund instead and was told there was "no way" they were giving me one. I then asked where the owner was, since she was the one who had called me the day before and asked me to come in. I was told, "She thought you were someone else." That response was unbelievable, considering she was the reason I had driven back. When I was finally helped, employees were recording me during our conversation, so I began recording as well. The technician who had originally botched my pedicure also arrived, repeatedly gave me dirty looks, and spoke about me with other employees. Using Google Translate, I understood enough of the conversation to know the comments being made about me were insulting and completely unprofessional. I was also repeatedly told, "This is the final time we're going to fix it for you," even though I had only asked for a refund. It was the owner who insisted I return. After two disappointing experiences, confusing business practices between two salon names, poor workmanship, unprofessional customer service, and the way my complaint was handled, I cannot recommend this business. I will also be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau because I believe customers deserve better treatment and businesses should be held accountable when they fail to take responsibility for their mistakes. Literally embarrassing to attach the photos of my toes because they look THAT awful and unrecognizable. But i need you to see this

I had Cindy as my nail tech for my pedicure and Will as my nail tech for my manicure. Their booking process was super simple and easy to navigate and they spent a little over 2 hours on my nails. They were so thorough and I had them redo a couple spots to my exact liking (I can be a bit picky) and they totally accommodated without making me feel bad. As people have mentioned, their reviews on Yelp is when it was under other management years ago so I would definitely give them a try. Lastly, the price is so affordable! A gel manicure was only $35-40 and you can add extra add-ons like additional foot massage time which I opted for!

I made my appt online for just a basic pedicure, I didn't need anything fancy. So far everyone was friendly. I was greeted when I arrived and was shown to the booth bath chair as soon as I picked my polish. From the looks of this place, it would make a cute spot for a girls day or maybe even for a bridal party to get their nails done. The basic pedicure allows you to pick a scent for the foot scrub (I chose lavender), foot massage, hot stone massage (in my opinion wasn't very hot). The water was hot but that was fine for me since I like my water like that, but could be a problem for someone else. While I waited for my polish to dry I also got a light shoulder massage that was nice. I can say that if you're coming in for a basic pedicure, this place is great. I would recommend to others to try them out. I can't speak for manicures or how well they design them but i may come back to try it out.

The woman who did my nails said she had been doing nails 29 years which is crazy to believe. When I first sat down she looked at my nails and said- Oh your nails are good. Huh!? I said- Well yes but they are growing out, I want a new color & need them shorter. After she did the gel base I told her how my nails felt so thin and I could see the white from the natural nail through the pink gel (which I've never seen before). She just kept saying- Yes that's your nail. As she painted my nails she was blobbing it on and the color didn't set flat. Nails were not even painted all the way down to the bottom on some. She had to put many layers on my pinky nail to cover up the natural nail showing through. The gel fill was $60!!! More expensive than most places in town which I wouldn't mind paying if it was actually good. And I was nice enough to tip her 20% b/c I'm nice. Now less than a week later 2 of my nails have chips out of them b/c they are so fragile. I would not go back there to even have anyone attempt to fix them. It was a mistake trying this place after seeing people recommend them. I definitely won't be back!
