I emailed him that afternoon to ask him about the resolution of the photo and how it looked, he tells me (on email, in writing) "it its good" and that I need to fill out the invoice (pay his bill) and he will ship. The next day I call....after he has my money he tells me the photo is NOT printed, it will take AT LEAST 4 days to complete the order before he ships, etc. And a complete wise ass about it as well. This guys customer service and overall approach was complete trash. It is not hard to do much better for this type of service.

It's a way of branding yourself. That unique, slick looking business card, printed on thick paper of a refined quality allows you to stand out in a memorable way. Just as much as that a flimsy business card will merely give a flimsy impression. I had to attend a business networking meeting where I was going to meet a lot of interesting people, and I needed business cards STAT. I looked online first. Super cheap, but... I didn't trust the paper quality I would end up having. I rather have 300 really nice cards, than 1000 crappy ones. Quality over quantity. I'm also a very visual and tactile person, that needs to see things and feel things in person so online printing was just not an option for me. No flimsy cards for me! My friend recommended Printech to me. Frank Passantino has been running the business for many years. Besides business cards they print big posters like the ones you see in the hospitals and way more diverse things. I got a whole tour. Frank proudly showed me how things were being printed and what else the friendly staff was working on. It was quite interesting to see all the different things this place does. They treated me here like royalty. And trust me: I know how to push buttons. I can get REALLY, really really caught up in little details. And they put up with me. Not a sigh, no raised eye brows, just good old-fashioned dedication towards a great end result. I appreciate that. I personally thought it was a really cool card when I walked out with a big box full or them, but I really realized I had an eye-catching business card when I saw the reactions of the people that I gave them to. People literally came up to me after the business meeting to compliment me on my business cards specifically. I recently found Bitfire Studios online when looking for a space to hold a fundraising event for the 30th Anniversary of my theater company, Artistic New Directions. My initial conversations were with the wonderful and informative Celeste, who provided me with all the space details, and scheduled a same-day location walkthrough. Upon my arrival I met the owner, Clint Hild, who was extremely gracious, and the two of them walked me through the space. My requirements, while not elaborate, called for a video presentation, live auction and event space, as well as stationary food and bar areas. Clint and Celeste happily discussed ways to rearrange the space, showed me the Apple and PC ready projector and screen, and discussed how to make the white cyc work as a presentation area. Over the next few weeks, any questions I had were promptly and enthusiastically answered, and I was able to schedule as many walkthroughs for my planning team as we needed, often with very little advance notice. It was the second or third time I visited the space that I met another of Clint's rock star staff members, Lauryn, who became my liaison for the rest of the planning period. On the day of the event Lauryn was on hand during setup, coordinating with me and my team to ensure we had everything we needed, helping me set up my iPhone to the stereo system, as well as our wireless mic. She even produced a pair of Bose speakers to hook up to the computer presenting the video, once we realized my speakers were not sufficient to fill the space! As the event began, Celeste took over those responsibilities, checking in with me throughout the evening, ensuring we were well taken care of and supported. Despite my objections, she even insisted on helping us break down the event and clean up after the party! Our photographer for the evening had a blast working at Bitfire, snapping great shots of our guests on the white cyc, adding a feeling of fun and sophistication to the evening. From the Board of Directors, the sponsors and donors, to the guests and volunteers, hands down it was regarded as the very best event Artistic New Directions has ever had, and that is in large part because Bitfire Studios provided the ideal space and staff for the event.
