Came in on Sunday to make a color print. At the store charges $1/a minute using a computer. I saw the note that a card machines won't work, so I switched the computer before I use...... most of the computers were used by the customers. Color prints are working well. $1/per page in color. I was about to leave in order to find any other place that prints but encountered Cheick who was a total DREAM. After logging on to a PC to download and print a file, I was charged for the usage but informed printing wasn't an option. The employees in that section were in the back or waiting on a line of customers so I was ready to walk out and eat the cost. I went to the front and approached Cheick because he seemed intelligent, focused and engaged. It was a great call! He went above and beyond to help me, to the point that he resized and modified the format of my document in order to make it print properly. To heed the hope of attaining photocopies as I do not wish to relinquish my only printouts, this Staples conveniently operates 24/7 Mondays to Fridays and Saturday and Sundays close late. I am old school as I prefer paper and "written in b&w" so attaining something in writing is vital for my personal records. Prepared with my Staples copy card I was shocked that there are only two (2) copy machines available and saw a long line of patrons who want to fax or use their printers. Many patrons standing on the long queue appears to be students, or new graduates, or seeking employment. Was fast, painless, the lady who helped me was very nice and helpful. I applied online before coming, and this was the suggested store that was closest in my ZIP Code. You're supposed to be approved within 3 to 5 days, but I was approved by evening of the next day. When you get fingerprinted they don't use ink. They smush your fingers against the screen. Now as a staples store, I can't give the same praise. I was looking at electronics and all the things that they had displayed are not in stock. So not a good place to get electronics. As I walked up to the cash register with the boy towing four giant cardboard boxes behind me, I commented, "Are you okay carrying that? Maybe we can fashion a handle out of duct tape or something..." I went to Staples to print something urgently and since this is the only store open late, I came to this location. The staff at the printing center was trying to be helpful with everything that he could do, but both printers in the back were printing with streaks and the colors were off. He had to use another printer that would take 10-15 mins each time to load my file and it took us 4 times to get the orientation of the prints right. It was such a nightmare and if Staples cannot keep up with their printer maintenance, it is absolutely pointless to have it at all.
