This place has been under new ownership for the last 6 months or so and I gave it a try for the first time because I followed some of my previous techs from another salon. I don't know how the previous owner and employees were, but from the past reviews they didn't seem to have much of a reputation. I am glad I gave this spot a try because everyone was very friendly and provided amazing service. You don't have to worry about the techs not speaking English and misunderstanding your needs. Everyone is very skilled with their work. I did my routine preference of a nude colored powder full set, which cost more than a normal full set, but I love how conveniently fast it is to get them done --1 hour in & out from applying the tips, applying powder, to shaping and coating it. You save so much time from having to get tips, apply & shaping the powder thennn having to get it polished with color after. I am always on the go so this technique helps me look nice and get out quickly. read more

Apparently the level of service provided here depends on who you get and they will tell you that themselves. I just received mediocre service from Jenna and when I decided to help myself to fixing what still needed addressing, she said I should've booked my appointment with Diana. I didn't realize that expecting the same great service that I have received from Diana in the past wouldn't be given by all of the associates there. Handling the loose pieces of skin around my nails myself offended all of them and they proceeded to talk about me in their spoken language. I just paid $88 for bad service and to be talked about while still in the salon. It is unfortunate that I will have to find a new salon, because that was so uncalled for. read more

I've been looking for a quality neighborhood nail spa since I relocated to the area in 2020. I have visited this shopping center often and never booked an appointment at Luxor. I think I have finally found my local Nail Spa. I made an appointment easily by phone. The staff here are excellent. They communicate very well and understand what proper customer service is. I made an appointment for my mother with Jenna for a gel mani and pedi. Our services started upon arrival and on time. My mother is a senior. Jenna was very patient and extremely kind with her. She also provided waxing services for mom. My mom's hands and feet look great. I also met with Julie for a Dip Powder Manicure on my natural nails. Julie was very kind, professional and personable. She did a fabulous job on my dip service. She kept the conversation flowing and asked about my preferences. I really enjoyed the tranquil music they play that allowed me to relax. I also appreciate that this nail spa brings calm vibes all around. The staff were very professional and welcoming for our first time. I look forward to returning for more services soon as summer is ahead. read more

Customer service was terrible. They changed the price on the set when I got there.... I found this establishment under the assumption that It was an independent owner since it said a deposit was required... but not if I come on time (mind you this is a walk in establishment).All of them are money hungry I was cut twice and started bleeding and I asked for money off after she finished and the lady said I have thick cuticles and it happens sometimes so I can't get money off???? Moral of the story find a nail tech that actually cares about nail health. I could have gotten an infection. Poor quality rushed work for 80 dollars and no manicure. RUN! They cut my cuticle which still hurts till this day and blamed it on me. I have never been cut until them nor will I ever come here again. I am disappointed and disgusted by there service and establishment. I will be filling a compliant against establishment!!!! The v French was bulky on one finger. I've come here a few times to get my nails done and they do a really great job. I get a gel manicure and it's takes longer than most because they do a great job. The interior of the salon is a little shabby compared to some more high end salons, but their prices reflect that. They also include way more treatments in their basic nail treatments as well. It does take awhile because I feel like they are always full when I go, but if you have time it's worth the wait. I've seen some complaints about cleanliness on here, which made me nervous, but I've never had an issue. As I was getting my nails done, I saw the girls cleaning and sanitizing everything before moving on to another customer. Plus all the girls are super sweet. I know for a fact one of the girls stayed later than she was supposed to to finish my nails and it was very much appreciated. read more

Came here Christmas Eve with my mom and two daughters. They were closed but their neon "open" sign was still on. I asked if they were actually closed and they asked what services we wanted: manis and pedis for all. They took us! Not only did we get great manis and pedis, but we were offered water (ok, not earth shattering) but Krispy Kreme donuts. They were in such the Christmas spirit and it was one of the best experiences to have with my family on a last minute splurge. read more

I do not write reviews ever....but this is something I had to get out there for people to know. Whenever I get my nails done, I make a courteous effort to get to know the nail tech who is doing my nails if they feel like talking. The conversation started off with both of us asking each other where we were from, to which I responded courteously. She mentioned she was from Vietnam, a country I find fascinating, and I asked her if she had any family there like I do in India. The conversation escalated to her yelling "No! I have no family there" and continued to go on an inappropriate and unprofessional rant about Vietnamese Govt for a solid 10 minutes. I sat there quietly saying nothing to trigger her and her voice got louder and louder as she continued to sloppily apply nail polish and attempted scraping it off my small, sensitive hands and making me bleed, THREE times. My natural nails were also shaved down with their spinning tool to something resembling thin tracing paper, my nails were not shaped to coffin ( it's straight up square shaped ), all while continuing to bash the Vietnamese govt. and most likely taking her frustrations out on me as she was doing my nails. I quickly tried to change the topic of conversation by talking about the weather. She acknowledged the poor weather, and then immediately continued to rant to herself and pushed her rant further, specifically saying "America is for white people and they don't care about us or no black people" ( Verbatim. These were her exact words which shocked me ). The ENTIRE salon was DEAD silent after she said this. At this point, I just wanted to get my nails done and over with and leave the hostile environment. She finished my nails, leaving me with 6 hurting fingers, 3 of which were bleeding, square shaped nails instead of coffin shaped, and the feeling of anxiety in what turned into a hostile environment from a conversation that started with us asking each other where we were from. I paid my $30 and left only a 10% tip ( what I personally felt like she had earned from me ) and walked out. I am never stepping foot there EVER again. read more

They don't do good work. Use cheap acrylic . One of my nails broke off after two days! I am furious. I was just pumping gas and hit it against the car. I can't believe it. Plus the tech used so much nail Polish it looks like the layers are uneven. They scratched so easily. I'm posting pictures . It should not be this bad for what I paid. I paid 17$ for a fill in and 27 for a pedicure. Not worth it. Hopefully they repair my nail for free since I JUST GOT THEM DONE LESS THAN A WEEK AGO (week ago). If you aren't coming here to relax this is the place for you. If you're trying to relax and enjoy yourself it's not. I walked in and one of the workers asked what she could do for me and I asked for a minute. She responded with the same question . This happen like 3 times. None of them speak good English whatsoever. The lighting is very bright and harsh. Not a very good nail polish variety mostly just pinks and tacky neons. Big windows for walkers to stare at you through with dusty old drapes. All the workers were loud and obnoxiously talking. Wasn't offered any kind of drink. The man who did my pedi was nice and did alright. But the lady who did my acrylic fill in was a total different story. She wanted to charge me $10 extra just to have my nails cut down..... Like....what? Pulling out a pair of clippers and taking 30 seconds to clip them ....costs $10. She filed way to hard kept hitting my skin. Then painted my nails and pointed to the dryer and told me 10 minutes tops. There was no clock anywhere and my phone was deep in my bag. Will not return. read more

This salon has a new owner (Lilly) as of November 2018! Lilly is such a sweetheart and does an amazing job with dip nail powder. The transition from shellac to dip nails was the best decision I ever made and Lilly has been a huge part of that since I've been living in Raleigh! I have followed her to this salon as she has taken over and is making many great changes to the salon. They specialize in dip powder nails however they have other services as well (shellac, acrylic, pedis, etc.). You should definitely visit this salon as its under new management with nail techs who are professional, honest, and good at what they do! read more

Save your money and go elsewhere! I stopped by here to get my nails done since I was in a hurry and they had a decent price for gels. However I'm regretting not going to my usual (Cameron Spa and Nails - they are amazing). This place did not use clean utensils when cutting my cuticles which later gave me an infection and to top it off, my manicure looked like a child did it! Nail polish was all over the place and the cuticles were horribly cut. I ended up having to take it off because it looked so awful! Contacted them asking for a refund and they refused and then blocked me. Doen't waste your time or money here!! read more

I had two services from Phan today. He was efficient and gave me the best Shellac manicure I've had in the area. I've had quite a few. He even used an air compressor to thoroughly clean my nail bed before applying polish and was honest about telling me that I needed to give my nails a break as I had been doing the gel manicures too long without a break. I have been going to Luxor Day Spa for mani/pedi/eye brow wax for years. I love this place! I have always been treated kindly and received excellent service. I saw Kim for years but she left a while ago (she was WONDERFUL) and now I see Nikki who is also FANTASTIC. This is not one of those large salons with many, many technicians, but I like that. It makes it feel more personal, spacious, quiet, and relaxing. If you go without an appointment on a busy day then you might have to wait a little, but in my experience I have usually gotten in rather quickly. Awful! Go somewhere else!! I walked in only because I had a gift certificate (I had been once before and didn't enjoy it). TERRIBLE customer service - the salon wasn't even that busy but they completely rushed my pedicure and wanted to get me out of there as fast as possible it seemed. I actually didn't mind because I too couldn't WAIT for it to be over and get out of there. The lady used her own fingernails to wipe up the excess nail polish on my skin - like dug into the creases in my toenails. It hurt! Then, as she was waxing my eyebrows, I literally almost got up and walked out - it was so gross-feeling - her hair was in my face the entire time, and she was so rough with me! She literally ended up wiping off all of my eye make up.. super sloppy. She kept yanking my head back & forth - firmly - and blowing on my face.. etc. It was so weird! I get my eyebrows waxed regularly (ELSEWHERE) and this was just terrible. I hate to write negative reviews but it was so terrible. Go anywhere else! Worst nail service I've ever recieved. I got a gel powder full set and the nail tech rushed through the entire service. My nails were so thick and uneven and I walked out of the shop with nail glue all over my fingertips due to the technician doing a sloppy rush job. I didn't have time to stay so i just dealt with them and made an appointment for my regular nail tech to fix them at a later date. A week later, one of my nails casually fell off as I was getting dressed, two days later another one fell off as I opened my bedroom door, and the next day, a third one fell off as I was typing... at work. As soon as I left work I went back to the shop to get them all taken off and the male technician seemed to have an attitude when I told him I wanted them off with no new service. He huffed and puffed the entire time he UNPROFESSIONALLY removed them. I'm used to having the acetone soak to get nails off and he instead clipped the nails off with a big nail clipper and wedged a false nail between my actual nail and the gel nail and popped them off that way. I wish I would have read these reviews before going in the first place. I definitely do not recommend. read more

Lin is an excellent nail and eye brow tech. The salon does need more polishes. The ones on the shelf are half used and dried up. This makes the pedicure not last as long. Visits here are always entertaining. read more
