I am updating my review as my long time nail tech Joanne has joined this business, which brought me back. Joanne is the best, I've been going to her since 2021. Her nails last me well, and she's very dedicated to taking her time and making sure the quality is great. She's a true five star nail tech. Love Joanne, and she's the primary reason I go. The salon itself is nice, and the staff that checks me in and out has always been super kind and helpful. The also have A LOT OF COLOR OPTIONS! Many, many different things to consider; however do note that a lot of the more special color options have up upcharges of $10-25 dollars, such as chromes, cat eye, or certain other polishes. They are transparently noted however which I very much appreciate. The only thing I really dislike is if you pay with a card, they pass on the processing fee to the customer. I personally don't like it when businesses do this - as a business owner myself, I consider it the cost of doing business. I know CC fees add up, but I just personally find it really bothersome and this was not the case at the last nail place, or the place I went before that. However, they do have the option to pay in cash to get around the fee - so I've been trying to withdraw cash before going. They also have a rewards program which I always like for businesses I'll be investing in regularly, and my last place DIDNT have that, so it's a nice option. This review is negative solely because of a poor experience with the receptionist. The pedicure service my friend and I received was excellent--our toes looked great! My friend, who has been a regular customer for a long time, invited me to join her for a pedicure. Before our appointment, I checked the salon's website and saw a promotion stating that when you bring in a new customer, both you and your guest receive 10% off. When we checked in, we showed the receptionist the promotion. She had me create a new account and told us to remind her at checkout so she could apply the discount. However, when it was time to pay, a different staff member was at the front desk. This person spoke in circles, telling us the previous receptionist was mistaken and that the 10% discount would only apply to our next visit. It's not about the money--it's the inconsistency and misleading advertisement that bothered us. Being told two different things by two different staff members left us feeling frustrated and distrustful of the business. Service has went down for me personally since my last post. Today marks the 3rd time I made an appointment with Lee the owner and he disregard me. After my pedi, I was told to wait. Wait til they finish someone who came after me. All 3 times he was not even here. Once I drove thru a storm to be told he forgot and left. Today he came in and left leaving someone else to do my nails. Never even acknowledging me, his appointment and I've been coming to him for 2 years. He comes back in for a bit then leaves. At this point I already know I won't not return. Then the guy doing my nails gets up and goes to fix another patron's nails without saying anything to me. So I asked out loud who is doing my nails, so he leaves her to come back to me. It's a shame that they don't care about customer service. read more

I absolutely hate to have to update this review and that I will never return to this salon. I brought a friend with me who had never been here before and the receptionist told us that we would both get 10% off when we check out today because my friend had never been here before. When we went to check out, the receptionist was gone on her lunch break and a woman with a horrible attitude was at the front and would not give us the 10% off. She told us we could get 10% off NEXT time we come. She talked in circles and went round and round and clearly does not want our business. Then she said I could get 10% today and my friend could get 10% off next time but that was a lie because she didn't give either one of us 10% off. What a horrible business practice and a quick way to lose a super loyal customer. All over $3.50!! Rest assured I will share this experience with everyone. read more

I started using the salon when we moved to the area about a year ago. Overall, I have been happy with my pedicures. I really liked Dana, although she hasn't been there for a few months, so I've been seeing other techs. I can't remember the names, but all of the women I have had pedicures with have been very good. On my last visit I was directed to Kevin, who was so rough, I felt he was deliberately hurting me. It was a horrible experience. Over almost 40 years of regular pedicures, I've had some that were not well done but I've never had one that caused me pain. It's always hard to make a decisionfrom reviews, which is what I did for this place. The reviews were about 50-50, and I wish I had listened to the bad ones. I spent a very long time in the chair, she filed my nails about 400 times, took all my cuticle off, even though I was trying to pull my hand away because it was painful. I got a dip manicure, and it's uneven and bumpy, and she did not clean the excess material from the bottom of my nails. I had been a long time customer spending hundreds of dollars on nails and pedi's. I got my nails done on a Thursday and one of the nails was flimsy and split in half down the middle and I went in on Sunday to get it repaired and they charged me $10.20 for the repair and refused to stand by the quality of their products. I will never come back to Nail Bar, I'm not going to spend hundreds of dollars at a company that refuses to stand by the quality of their product especially since this is only the 2nd time I've come in needing a repair. This was my first time here and I'll definitely be back! I had the Victorian pedicure, which involves a massage, hot towel, exfoliation, etc. and painted toes, and had my SNS removed and gel manicure as a replacement all for right around $60. The massage chair and the hand massage put it at 5 stars. And of course, it's always nice to have the complimentary wine. Very bad manicure. I visited for a pedicure and a fill manicure. The pedicure was excellent, but it was the worst manicure I've ever gotten. The very next day, my nail polish was chipping. So I went back and the same woman who originally did the service fixed the chipped polish and did another top coat. I asked if it was bad nail polish and she said no. It is now the next day and it's chipping again. I called to try to get a refund or a free next visit and they said no unless I come in again this week. I was only visiting for work so I'm unable to return, and they did not offer anything for my inconvenience. I purchased a Groupon for a Jelly Pedicure and had such a fantastic experience! I had never had a jelly pedi prior to yesterday and it was so cool. It's nice and exfoliating and warm...my feet thoroughly enjoyed their soak! The technician who did my pedicure was wonderful. He carefully clipped and filed each nail, and when the time came for callous removal he scrubbed like crazy with two different tools. The leg and foot massage was so relaxing! I went in at 5pm on a Tuesday afternoon and it was pretty quiet which made the relaxing experience even better. Everyone working was friendly and kind. One of the women explained that the salon is under new management and it's important to her to show great customer service to everyone who comes in. She seemed as though she genuinely cared about my experience and I really appreciate that. Pricing is on par with other salons in the area ($35 Shellac mani, $30 pedi). They have a good selection of colors to choose from and they offered me a drink when I sat down (water, soda, white or red wine). I'll definitely be returning! read more

I was getting an SNS mani and pedi for a wedding and wanted them to match. Admittedly, it took me some time to decide what color worked but they were short staffed on pedicures so I was able to take my time. I picked a pink for SNS for my nails and asked if there was a nail polish color for my toes. They brought me one and completed my pedicure, before moving into my SNS mani. Needless to say, the color after the final coat... didn't match. When I said something about it, a person who seemed like a manager said it didn't match because I didn't get gel toe polish. I came in today at 11am for a mani/pedi. Pedi went great - manicure was good until it came down to a squiggly French tip. i was told to wait 5min so another lady could do the design..5 turned into 20 min. While I was waiting multiple other technicians started on other clients. I ended up leaving at 130pm with no design. As that was my choice, I have many other things to do than sit in a salon for almost 3 hours. The tech was good but he spoke little English. I made an appointment on website for 1 pm on a day they opened at noon. I got a confirmation for 10 am. They refused to recognize mistake. First time visit. Friday around 3pm. No smile or hello from any of the three people sitting at the front desk. It's a BIG place and very busy, so I was glad they had techs available. I asked for a regular manicure. "You want gel manicure, right?". I explained No, gel polish made my nails so thin they had been torn off, I just want regular polish. "But gel is better." No, thank you. " Gel lasts longer. " I should have left at that point. The technician sat me down and said "gel?" That was repeated at least five times during my manicure. It turned out to be pretty much the only word he knew in English. I asked that he even out the length of my short nails because a few were still recovering from the gel and shorter than others. I had selected two colors and asked him which was the closest to a natural color. I got a smile and a blank stare. I asked again, using the word blush, and got a reply of "clear?" I tried every description I could think of, with the same result. Finally, he goes and gets another tech to help. I used several adjectives to describe what I wanted. He went to his station and came back with a clear polish that was noticeably bright pink, even in the bottle. He did one nail, which showed that the bright pink was closer to red. We start again, this time bringing a frosted pink that glowed with a purple undertone. I gave up and told him that it was fine. While sitting in the dryer, I noticed that the polish on two nails had gotten badly nicked. His solution was a repair with acetone. It looked pretty bad, but I'm really done with this. Noticeably annoyed, I regretted my generous tip ($5 On a $18 service) and noted that nobody said thank you. The place gets two stars because they use single use, sterilized instruments for each customer. read more

Several nails chipped within days and by the end of one week the entire nail of polish came off of two nails. I have been getting SNS for years and never had this happen. This is my second time coming here and I've really enjoyed both experiences. They have a very relaxing atmosphere, resembling serene gardens. And the complimentary drinks are a plus. Livingsocial voucher user here with a positive experience! I picked up the Livingsocial deal before looking at Yelp and was super nervous about using my voucher, but glad I did. I read a review saying the ownership changed, not sure if that is true or not, but it was a positive experience overall, with a few caveats. I booked my appointment a week out and the woman on the phone was polite enough. I arrived early and had to wait just a few minutes for a chair, but was in a chair by my appointment time, feet soaking in jelly. The water was way too warm, but there wasn't really a chance to let them know. There were only three employees present. I'm surprised, I feel like most salons have a few in the back, but not here. This must be why appointments are critical. Another girl also with a voucher and same appointment time arrived just behind me. She waited a good 20 minutes for a chair, despite the water sitting in the basin for her. It wouldn't even matter if they had someone because I sat for twenty minutes before someone was free to do my nails. So, two very different experiences. I also noticed they didn't offer her something to drink quickly while they had for me. The guy who did my nails did great. I have bad luck with them cutting me and so I asked him not to cut my cuticles, which he understood and didn't do. Pros: clean (used covers in foot bath) easy to communicate with (all three of them), good job Cons: no walk in flexibility (understaffed), water was too hot, and there was quite a wait for painting etc. Summary: had a fine experience and better than the place near Southpoint, so I'd come again for my next pedicure read more

While the nail tech was sweet, this was the worst pedicure I have ever received. Polish on two toes came off within hours even though I wore flip flops. Nails weren't cut or shaped uniformly. A mud type mask was used on my legs and it wasn't noticed that she didn't wash anything off the back of my legs until I was out with a friend after my service. How could this not be noticed by employees and as I walked through the salon and remedied? I am less than a week out from getting my pedicure (the color was re-applied the next day by another tech) and half my toes have chips in the color and one toe has no color left. Very disappointed in this as my pedicures have always lasted at least 3-4 weeks. While the facility is nice and clean, the pedicure experience was enough to determine that I won't be returning. read more

The outside just says "Nail Bar" - but it's the one (near the Best Buy). It's not crowded, but they don't have a huge staff, so I recommend calling ahead. It's quiet inside, with some music playing, and a bar that seems like it was used at one point, but out of commission now. Andy did my gel nails, and he did a really nice job. He was gentle with the previous removal, and meticulous about the shape and polish. Like most gels, the color was a little off from what you see on the cards, but fairly close.
