This place is the worst. I've made to attempts at getting my nails done at this shop, for convenience , It's located below where I live. All I can say, is that it's the worst and when I had gone back the next day to have them touch up my messy pedicure and fix a nail that the gel polish peel off of, and It's my under standing it should last for at least 2 weeks. It's been only 1 week and my nails are trash. Also, when I had gone back for my nails and toe nails to be fixed, in0stead of the owner apologizing she tried to make it as if it was my fault. DO NOT GO HERE. I went in for a gel removal and manicure with no color. A simple task.. well they used a DRUMMEL to remove the gel i had on & severely damaged my nails and cuticles. Nails are scratched and hurt! Half ass job. And charged me $20! Absolutely pathetic. I hate to write bad reviews but i couldn't believe the horrible job and then charging me $20. I should have known better than to goto a nail place like this compared to my normal spot. B UPDATE: it's been a week since my visit to this awful salon. Very friendly nail techs and super clean shop with nice decor. The best part is their customer loyalty card. I've never seen this at a nail shop before so it was a nice surprise. Like you bay area ladies, I have been on the quest to find "the one". I am super picky with my nails (as many of you are). This place is simply awesome. I had the basic pedi with an upgrade ($25) and had intended on getting a basic mani. Well after seeing Mary (the owner) work on another customer, I decided to get the shellac gel. It was the best I've had! I am so pleased. She even painted two of my fingers with the Rockstar to show the difference. It had been so long since I left a nail salon pleased an I am so happy to have found a place in Dublin. They take time to make sure you are satisfied with their work. Visited this nail salon because I needed a place that closed later than 7pm since I work until 6. Every other place is very unfriendly when I make my appointments late and Luxor nails was so friendly and welcoming! The staff was very nice, and my bails came out very nice! Last weekend my Sister-in-law got married at Casa Real. Work has been crazy in LA and I didn't have time to get my nails done. One of my friends recommended Luxor. When I arrived I was quickly greeted and given a glass of water with lemon. I got a shellac mani and regular spa pedi. I'm not a big fan of pink, but the bride wanted the bridesmaids to wear shades of pink. Mary and her team were so great in helping me to pick up some matching shades for my mani/pedi. I had trimmed my nails earlier in the week and the ladies did a great job straightening everything out. I've gotten numerous compliments. The only downside was that one of the ladies, not Mary, accidentally cut one of my fingers. She didn't even apologize or seem to have any gel to stop the bleeding. Needless to say it was painful. Besides that incident, the treatment was very enjoyable. I especially liked the foot massage. I would highly recommend to any brides/bridesmaids that are getting married in the area. It's been three weeks and still looking good. Next time I will ask to cut my nails shorter though. Customer Service: Very good. Among the top services I've received. I've been going here for close to a year now and I love it. I've gone to many, many nail places before and this is by far the cleanest and most "spa-like". I usually get the manicure with gel nail polish and always go to Mimi. She does quality work, is so nice and personable and I've never been disappointed. I always call first to be sure she has time, and I can usually go during my lunch break. She's always quick but still does a great job and I'm able to get in and out and back to my office within an hour. NEVER COMING HERE AGAIN. I have been looking for a good new nail place to go to and the reviews for here were pretty good so I decided to try it this past Sunday. When I first got there and they led me to a nail station, they left the whole thing all wye from being wiped down and never dried it until I asked them. My nails actually turned out really nice. I got a red shellac, the shape of my nails ended up just how I wanted, square and curved at the edges. The only downside to my nails was that two of them chipped the next day for no reason. But the main reason why I won't even consider this place again was because of a health issue that I saw. It got very busy when my nails were almost done, and they were understaffed so the lady doing my nails kept switching between me and a girl that was getting a pedicure. When she came back to my station to grab something, she went to the mini trash can behind her chair, took out the trash bag, and took out a nail file that was sitting under the bag inside the trash can to go use on the girl getting the pedicure. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? That is so disgusting and I couldn't even believe my eyes when I first saw her do it. I reported them to health services. No one wants a used, filthy file that has been sitting beneath a trash bag to be used on their nails. read more

Best massage chairs I've sat in! BUT. That's the only positive and why they even get the two starts. Unfortunately the massage chair is as much as I got out of my experience here. I was really sad about that because I really wanted to come back for that chair! Negatives: It was Mother's Day. No "Happy Mother's Day" or anything to make you feel pampered or special. That was fail #1. They really missed an opportunity to win over customers on that alone. Not enough color selection. Actually many of the polishes were so old-school, they looked like they'd been on the shelf since 1990- thick, even chunky looking. Sation? Really? You still use that brand!? No "Cotton Candy" for me, thanks- c'mon there are SO many polish lines you can carry in this day and age, THAT should not be on your shelf. I even think there were some Wet N Wild ones on that shelf. I should have walked out then. Basic pedicure was entirely too simple. No massage. No pumice stone. No filing. Barely let me feet soak before she rushed through my LOUSY pedicure. I actually was in shock at how poor of a tech she was. Me and the customer next to me looked at each other in disbelief that both of the ladies were rushing through both of our pedicures. Mind you, it was the early afternoon- not closing time (not that that's an excuse). She actually came in after me and was done at the same time I was... they REALLY rushed her. She actually looked at me and chuckled in disbelief... as did I. I looked at my toes, and UGH. My 5 year old could have done a better job. SLOPPY. Polish on my skin. Bubbles in the polish. It was the worst pedicure I've ever had. It was so dissatisfying in the end. I was picking up a cake across the street at Nothing Bundt Cakes when I stumbled across Luxor Nail Spa. I have been to nail salons all over the Tri Valley area, none of which I was overly impressed with, and this place looked very nice from the outside so I decided to give it a shot. Boy, am I glad I did! I am very particular about the places I go being clean and this place is impeccable. The staff is very friendly and they do a great job. Personally, I always go to the owner Mary to have a "Hollywood" gel manicure and pedicure, and she ALWAYS makes me feel and look fantastic. I really enjoy getting funky glitter and bright color combinations and Mary always knows exactly what I want even when I don't do a great job at explaining it. She also doesn't hesitate to tell me when one of my ideas probably won't look very good which I really appreciate. Recently I've been going through a really tough time and the circumstances of my life make it difficult for me to come in during regular business hours, and she has offered to stay late or come in early to accommodate me. I don't know many businesses that offer service like that, but they definitely know how to treat loyal customers. I have been going to Luxor Nail Spa for a couple of years and as long as I live within driving distance, I will keep coming here. Highly recommended! read more

The nails seemed fine when I left but 2 weeks later they were practically off my fingers. Had to pay another salon to remove them and give me a new set because these couldn't be filled. It's typical for this to happen to 1 finger after 4 weeks, but 10 fingers after 2 weeks is insane. Won't be going back. read more

After going there for I don't know for how many months and spending I don't know how much, including generous tips, they managed to lure me away. I realised after getting a pedicure that I had left my purse at the restaurant I was at earlier that day. I was in panic mode and calling the place if they had my purse and calling my husband and my friends and sweating like an idiot with all the people there staring at me. Women at Luxor know me, we chat all the time, but still, the lady in charge asked me to leave something with her! for a $20 pedicure! I only had my car keys and my phone with me. I told her that I could give her my credit card number -I know it by heart, thank you online shopping, but she didn't understand what I was saying, she insisted I left her something as a guarantee that I would pay her $20. I wasn't a big fan of their services but I have this thing where I pick a place and go there forever. Like someone mentioned, you leave with toes looking like you did them at home yourself. First of all, I went here for a pedicure on a week day around 11:30 and there was just one other person. From the moment I walked in, they were pushing me to do additional services (manicure, gel, sparkles, nail design, etc.) I was really annoyed because I just wanted a pedi. I read the previous reviews and based on what I read, I wanted Mimi. I called and spoke with Mimi who told me to come in at 3:30pm for an appointment with her for gel manicure and someone else would do my pedicure. I was there 15 minutes early and another technician began soaking off old gel manicure. Other ladies were coming in asking for appointment with Mimi and she tells customer to come back in 30 minutes. I begin to get worried she forgot she scheduled me. I have my pedicure first with Frances who did a great pedicure. Love the exfoliating scrub!!! Frances then begins to remove old gel manicure and proceeds to do my fingernails. Mimi continues to help other clients and never acknowledges that she had an appointment with me. I LOVED my pedicure at Luxor. I had Mary do my toes. She was so sweet!! She told me all about their acrylic prices and when I showed her my nails she told me how crooked they were and how she can fix them. They're acrylics were only $25--totally made me re-think the place I went to last night to get my nails done. All the ladies who helped my friends and I were so sweet and were very welcoming. We called for availability about 20 minutes before and by the time we got there they had four chairs waiting for us. Mary was so sweet and gave me all kinds of tips and tricks to keep my nails nice and healthy. I will defiantly be returning !! I've never found a nail salon I was so happy with! read more

Finally remembered to do this review. The first time I've tried this place is when they first opened. I asked for a "QUICK" Full set. They told me If I can wait for 15 minutes since they were quite busy that day so I told them I'll be back and when I got back they were still busy. So I waited for another 15 minutes. I finally got someone to do my nails and it happened to be the slowest girl. I mean she can do nails but she moves so slow I then found out she was the owner's daughter after her mom came to her rescue to finished my nails. It was literally closing time. That my friends is just the first time. 2nd Time - I was also in a hurry because this time I really need to leave early morning for wedding out of town. Lucky had it I got Nancy the owner. She promised to be quick and make my nails last. I was skeptical at first....After 2 weeks my nails just finally start chipping and she was true to her word. I REALLY wanted to give them a chance. I got a acrylic gel mani/ gel pedi and I had pleasant conversation and did have a relaxing experience. The star deductions are just from what happened after the fact. I must admit, they did it slightly different compared to usual so I should have suspected that may be an issue. First, the glue from one of my nails broke off after 3 days. I couldn't believe it. Right before a trip too-- so I couldn't get them fixed. I had to come in about a week later. They excused it saying that it was because my nail bed was small and honestly, I've always been able to go to salons that have surely said it would make it challenging, but never have they fallen out less than a week in. The replacement also wasn't done as well as my first (it's not the same size and not straight) which I hadn't noticed until I got home, but couldn't deal with it since I was on a time crunch. Of course, just my luck I lost another acrylic a few days later. Around the two week range. Spending about $80 for a week and a half service just seems outrageous to me when I've gone to places that have done it less and have lasted even a month. Sorry, but I can't rationalize getting my acrylics done here again. Maybe natural nails, but not acrylics. read more

I'm currently 37 weeks pregnant and can't reach my toes! This pedicure was desperately needed. I get ingrown toe nails so they were really good about helping me once I explained what I needed. They were very gentle and pain free! I also wanted a specific nail design and they were very accommodating. Cost was a little pricey which is why it's not 5 stars. Called around 2:30pm on a Thursday to see if they had any available appointments for a pedicure. I was told to come on in. Yay! Luxor is down the street less than 5 min from my place, in a cute plaza with easy parking. Their facility is bright, clean and well ventilated. The staff that I encountered were all friendly and pleasant. Pretty good massage chair. Basic pedicure is $20, and the lady that did mine gave an excellent calf/foot massage. Great experience. Loved that I didn't have to wait. Fair prices. Convenient location. This will probably be my go to nail place now. read more

I'm not sure how this place got such high rating. I went in for a gel tips and pedicure. The pedicure was okay but she didn't really trim my nails much or buff them. My toes looked like I did them myself at home. They didn't have that nice shiney clear coat. Then my manicurist is quiet the whole time doesn't talk to me until around the end to try and earn some brownie points for tip. I'm okay with that. What I'm not okay with is that my nails were uneven. She used the machine that sands it down to try and thin out my THICK layer of fake nail. The nail in the coffin tho, was she kept digging her nails into my cuticle to use the sanding too and she kept knicking my skin. The whole day my fingers were burning around the cuticle areas. Next day, there were little cuts that looked like tiny paper cuts. No wonder they were hurting so much the night before. If i ever go back its to get my eye brows done. Never again for my nails. Gel Rockstar Nail, pedicure and eye brow was $77. NOT Cheap. I don't mind paying if it's worth it. read more

I have a love hate relationship for this place. The first few times I felt like royalty and pampered without feeling rushed. The last few times have been slowly degrading in quality as well as service. I always make appointments so I find it annoying when I'm rushed out of my chair for random walk ins. I wouldn't be so mad if the rushed service involved exceptional quality. I really tried giving this nail salon a chance but after my last two visits I was so disappointed with my treatment and lack of quality of my mani and pedi. My nails were not thoroughly cleaned or filed properly. Nails were painted terribly and chipped within a week. It's a hit or miss every time I walk into the door. I will say the older women take time and put more effort in than the younger ones. Pros: -Welcomed immediately when you walk in. -Beverage is offered. Did a sloppy job for my gel manicure. Didn't cover the whole nail after being told repeatedly. Got nail polish on my skin, very rough and not comfortable. Not generous on the lotion for the 10 second massage. Used Dial soap to scrub my feet for my pedicure. Will be taking my business elsewhere. read more

I got a mani pedi and had acrylic nails put on. While standing my nail the technician cut my finger with the sander. It hurt really bad me my finger started bleeding. The tech ignored it and kept sanding. I told her ow that hurt you cut me, she replied that I was talking so much I moved. I said ok I didn't think I was moving but can you be more careful it really stings. After that she cut every single one of my cuticles with the sander. I have 5 cuts total. The owner was sitting next to her and said nothing. The tech didn't apologize. If I hadn't been with my friend I would have walked out. Then my toes were painted so thin they smeared and messed up right after. To make matters worse I realized a day later my one hand has nails that are about one inch longer than my other one. I would not go back and I was really shocked and disappointed by their treatment. read more
