I asked for a strict design, shape and color and got something completely different, on top of that they do not care about cutting and preparing cuticles... which leads to lifting which can lead to water getting under your nails and in my situation to having mold on your actual nail. 3 months ago I would recommend them but now all I can say is terrible service and work. read more

Being going here for 6 years as my go-to nail spot. Quality is good and they don't make you feel rushed. I like that it's tucked away and never overflowing with people (doesn't feel competitive to get a spot) and it's easy to make an appointment over the phone. I visited Silk Nail Design recently. Even though it was my first visit, this salon has been at its West Dublin location for 12 years. Anna was my nail tech and I came in for a pedicure. She presented me with a printed menu of optional upgrades with descriptions and prices. I selected an upgrade that included a nice long foot and leg massage that was relaxing with just the right amount of pressure. The salon has a very peaceful vibe with no TV but just soft music. This was the absolute best pedicure of my life. I am from Sunnyvale and I drove here with my husband who wanted to visit jams music store next door. To pass the time I went into silk nail design and opted for the 40 dollar pedicure. What I received was a million dollar service! They dont skimp on their massage and it just melted all my stress away. The price is reasonable for what they give, honestly, the could charge more. This is a clean spot that has been around for quite some time. The ladies do a great job with the massages after your pedicure and you don't feel rushed. The prices are fair and the service is great! Most nail places are about "how many people can I get in/out of the door in x amount of time", this shop gives you realistic wait times, and is pretty good about 5-10min max past your appt time before you start service. Once I came in without an apt, and all the techs had someone...instead of hearing 15min like some nail places-- she looked at their schedule, and said she could fit me in an hour. I love that, I went and ran some errands came back and was seated within 5min. Thank you for being honest, that will keep me coming back for sure! I love that there is no tv (feels more spa like), I love that there are only 5 work stations so it doesn't feel like a giant shop with limited customer service, I love that every special nail design picture I've brought to them they've done it so beautifully, and I love that my shellac mani actually does last 3-4 weeks. Every standing appt time I've made has been kept, and after 5 visits with great service and skill-- this is my favorite place to get my nails done I've ever been too :) read more

Always a great job done by the staff here. I come in regularly. My only complaint (if you can call it that) is that they don't do 3D design, but they don't pretend to either. I frequently come here for a pedicure, so I thought I would try out their manicure. Horrible idea! DO NOT DO IT!!! I requested a dip manicure and called in advance to make sure they do dip. Upon confirmation of this I arrived at my appointment time and waited for 30 min before I got seated. It was a slow Sunday so I was surprised at the wait... I requested for an ombré dip and this is where everything went down hill. 1. The ombré base was much too dark. 2. The brush used to wipe away the powder dip had another client's dark red powder on the brush, which proceeded to make my nails red. 3. Due to #2 my nails had to be redone from scratch. By then I had been sitting in the chair for an hour. 4. When my nails were redone. Even though I warned the nail artist that the brush had dark red, she proceeded to brush away the powder with the SAME BRUSH! Causing once again #2 to be repeated with my nails having red hues. 5. Due to this it required extensive buffing out 6. Haven't even gotten to the best part, as the nail was buffed and polished and coated with a final finish the nail literally looked two tone. Not ombré in any way. It looked like the biggest French manicure one could see with half the nail white and the other pink. I proceeded to let the staff know this is not ombré but two toned. They did apologize and promised to adjust it the following day. But quite honestly, after 2.5 hours in the chair and 2 attempts to redo the same ombré, I think I will pass on ever going back there to get my nails done. Sometimes it's better to just tell the client you can't do something than waste everyone's time and energy. read more

Giving 2 stars cause this place opens early and cleanliness of the facility. I had a fill here 2 weeks ago cause it opened early and I was dropping off my kid to school next door. Now 2 weeks later ready to get a fill and taking off the polish, my real nails was all yellow and brown. First time ever seeing this happened. It was very ugly and damaged my real ones. I was told the acrylic wasn't sealed correctly so it cause water to enter and discolored them. Eww. Anyways, will never come back due to this and they are so overpriced for the job they do. read more

Don't waste your money!!!!! Find another salon!!! I've never been hosed in a nail salon so badly in 30 years. I received a "pedicure" on the menu for 40 dollars, I asked for gel she said ok and at the end they charged additional 15 dollars for the gel. I could've bought a whole bottle of gel for that price. Besides the fact the technician didn't even cut my nails (filed only) after I asked for them to be cut down, the gel peel off 5 toes and my nails had to be cut same week of the pedicure. I went back and they said if I wanted it fixed I could buy another pedicure. This place is pure robbery don't expect for them to even make it right if they mess up. I'll let the pictures speak. The paint job looked like my toddler did it with polish all along every cuticle. Piss poor service, piss poor price, piss poor experience for an incredibly busy working mom. Save the hassle and go to another salon (there are so many close by) !! read more

My nail technician Diem just moved to this location since Jenny's nail salon in Dublin, CA closed down couple months ago. Of course Diem is my favorite nail artist who takes pride of her outstanding detailed work therefore, I followed her at her new location. The place has been remodeled and looks great, clean and it has a very friendly atmosphere. The spa music on the background relaxes you and everybody is professional, welcoming and very kind. I highly recommended it to all my friends and clients. Diem is the gem of the nail spa and I hope she stays there because it is my favorite nail spot. read more
