I was visiting in Durango and needed my dip nails redone. A complete waste of $150.00 plus $40 tips. Luxury nail salon said they do dip nails. I made appointments for my daughter and I, dip nails and pedi for me and manicure and pedicure for my daughter. When we signed in we indicated on the sign in sheet those were the services we needed and I verbally said the same. They sat us in chairs and the pedicures were done and we were sat at the drying table. I asked when the manicure and dip nails would be done and they looked at me like I was speaking a different language. They found another technician for my daughter's mani and a lady wrapped my nails to remove the dip nails. After about 45 minutes Jousean did my dip nails. Within 4 days a nail cracked and broke. I went in and jousean fixed it. It is now 10 days since I had the dip nails done and 3 more nails have cracked and are coming off. I'm no longer in Durango so I cannot get them fixed. They obviously need more training for dip nails!!! Now I have to go somewhere else to get a new set. Very unsatisfactory!! read more

This place was terrible. My mother called in to get her and I in for a pedicure and a dip. They got my mother in right away and expected me to wait 45 minutes to get my nails done. Ridiculous that I had to wait 45 minutes while the owner of the nails salons friend showed up and acted like she owned the place and took my spot to get nails done. While expecting me to wait another 15 minutes to sit at a chair. I never got my nails done here. The owner of the nail salon decided to talk crap about her customers to their backs. I nor friends or family will support this nail salon. read more

I called the salon as they are the only salon open on Sunday. I had gel nails that needed to be removed professionally. I was told the price of a manicure was $20. Tony was my tech. He used an electric tool to get the gel polish off!!! Never ever again!!! Every other salon has always used acetone. He ruined my nail. They are now so thin and brittle. He hurt me as he got closer to the nail bed. His lab coat was filthy and his nails were dirty. When he took out the tools, they were in a package, but I could tell they had not been sterilized. In those small blue and white packets, they are to be sealed and they come out of the sterilizer as if they had been shrink wrapped. I worked at a dental office and I am a licensed esthetician. Don't be fooled just because they're in a packet. He told me it would be $25. I did not argue as I knew I would let you in exactly what to expect. Go somewhere else. Well ... wish I could say this was a fun girls day but not so much. My daughter, MIL, and I had a girls day out all planned. Our first stop was here to get Mini/pedi's. We had a reservation and so we expected to be starting and finishing around the same time. Nope didn't happen. We all started together but 2 of us got the rush job, and finished about the same time. The 3rd person on the other hand ended up taking over an hour long then us. The lady messed up on her nail design so bad that she had to take off the design all together and just go with plan nails. If that wasn't bad enough her nails looked horrible, and when we tried to get her to fix them she got angry and refused. On top of that we had to pay full price for a crappy job. Most places either make it right or don't charge you if you aren't satisfied. Not here. The workers were OK, not overly friendly. The guy that did mine didn't speak one word to me the entire time, he just gestured . It was very strange. At first I thought he didn't speak English, but he did. Anyway, we won't be going back. I would suggest that you look into another nail spa that does quality work, is professional, and will treat a customer with Kindness and respect. read more

Took my mom here to get pedicures. We made appointments and were on time. We sat down and as the younger girl sat and made sure my water was an okay temp, the man who was doing my moms feet was off doing whatever and the water was obviously too hot. The gal doing my feet adjusted her water. The man who did my moms feet not only talked about how he couldn't do anything with her nails because she had cut her own. He did not file her nails nor did he push back or cut her cuticle. He slapped on some lotion and gave her 30 second "massage" on each leg then slapped polish on her toes and walked away. He finished her "pedicure" in about 15 minutes. And mind you we were the only people in the salon who needed to be waited on. While he was doing my moms feet he continued to interrupt my conversations with my mother and the gal who was going my toes. It was rude and annoying. The only good thing about the service was the girl who did my feet. Super sweet and attentive. Very detail oriented. Personal opinion is she is dragging down her own career in that hole in the wall. We will never go back to that salon for a service. read more

I was in there for longer than 2 hours getting a pedicure and full set of nails. lady that did my nails rushed me out before they were dry so when I was leaving about 5 of my nails got messed up and the nail polish came off!! I had finally found my salon. My sister was in town for a week and today was her last day. We had decided to get pedicures. I set up a 2p appointment this past Friday. We walked in with 2 other couples. One had an appointment at 2:30p, the other couple was a walk-in and the salon was full. Long story short, they took both couples before us. I reminded her we had an appointment at 2p and asked how long we had to wait. She said 20 minutes, I was irritated but okay with it. We stepped out for 20 minutes and came back to a full salotagain. It is now 2:30 and we got put in the chairs. She started another couple at 2:50p. We got up and said we were leaving. She did not understand why we were upset and leaving. I would have excepted an apology but didn't get that. I understand shit happens and 15 or 20 minutes is doable but this wait was close to an hour. There was nothing relaxing about this visit. Stressed ! I would have accepted an acknowledgment of the situation or at least an apology. I am a good customer and tip very well. Now I have to go look for another salon. Anyone have recommendations? read more

I got my nails done here and they only did one coat which a day later already chipped. They also forgot about me in the chair and left me to my own devices to get foot ware over my newly pedicured feet! Even after asking for help I was ignored! They are incredibly rude and their work is less than satisfactory; you can still see blue nail polish from a previous pedicure on my big toe!!!!! read more

Had a horrible experience. 3 of us went together having booked an appointment a week ago. Had to wait 45 minutes. One pedicure resulted in a bleeding toe and customer had to stop the session. Still got charged full price. Another with toenails clipped past the quick and scratches from the "massage" on the backs of calves. Totally unpleasant. The third pedicure was just fine. Very disappointed with the service here. I asked for a gel manicure, and picked a grayish color. When the man was applying it, it was baby pink. I inquired that I think he had the wrong color and he insisted it would change. It didn't. It's fall and I have spring colored nails. Not a huge deal but he completely dismissed what I wanted. The manicure was probably the worst I've ever gotten. Nail polish left on my skin, balls of polish curled up at the end of nail, and not very smooth. I will never go to this place again. read more

Walked in without appointment for a pedicure and was seated immediately. The woman who worked on my feet was very brusque. The Nail Clipping was painful. All the work was very hurried. My biggest problem with the place was sanitation. I did not see fresh tools set out for each customer. Nail file was dropped, skidded into a very dirty area and was still used. The basins where feet are soaked were barely drained before the next customer stepped in. I left this place actually worried that I would end up with an infection. But what happens is you'll get passed around to 3 different people and if someone with appointment walks in they'll leave you sitting there, half finished and go work on them leaving you to wait. I got my nails done here because my usual salon was booked solid .... I will never go back!! The man that did my pedicure refused to give me another coat on my toes. Then the woman that did the gel polish manicure got mad when I asked her ,before she started,if she could go dark with the red. She said she would give me one more coat but that was it (2 coats was all I got total). Now it's been 2 days and my nails are already chipping. This salon is not good! I called in and made an appointment for 4 PM to get an acrylic set. I showed up at four and sat in the waiting area for an hour before anyone acknowledge me. No one offered me anything to drink, or told me how long the wait would be. Eventually I stood up and went to talk to the owner. I told her that I had been waiting for an hour and my appointment was originally at four. She was very apologetic and helped me reschedule my appointment for 9 AM the next day. I showed up at nine and she did a decent job on my nails. It took her over an hour to do them because she kept checking her phone every two minutes. My nails are too thick, and all different shapes. They look good from far away, but up close they look horrible. She gave me a five dollar discount because of the misunderstanding the day before. She's a very sweet lady, but her shop is poorly run. It cost me $50 to get a full set of acrylics with gel polish. Most of the other nail salons in town are cheaper and do a better job. Hope this helps! read more

This salon is terrible. Don't waste your money. This place is dirty and they got offended when I asked them to use new tools for my manicure. My daughter got a tip and shellac and I got shellac with a design. My daughters started to bubble and was so thick that is looked disgusting. They would not refund my money cuz we didn't want them to touch us again. Very nice people but very very poor quality work. Looks like a ten year old did my nails. To top it off they cut my skin, burnt the hell out of my sister and I with a hot stone and at one point the massage actually hurt. Love this place. They can always work you in as a walk-in and they have never been anything but kind. I like the work they do on my feet and the hot stone message never disappoints. They've also got the cutest dog that's always hanging out in the salon, who I'd consider an on-site therapy dog to add to the experience:). They talk on cell phones most of the time while doing my nails, pretend to not speak english when I am asking a question, and then go answer the phone and speak english very nicely. I went to luxury nail spa because the place I regularly go to did not have any openings today. I am absolutely horrified at what I went through at this place. First - I was asked to wait 10 minutes (no problem), I sat down on a dog bone, in a dog hair covered chair. I was confused that animals are allowed in a place that is supposed to have sterile equipment.. but I am an animal lover so I let it go easily. Secondly - I was supposed to get a refill on my acrylic nails. She asked if I wanted them shorter, I expressed just a tad bit shorter. The woman used the electric file and filed my nails down to paper thin, burning my fingers a few times and making the nails even shorter than she had previously cut them. She then put the white and pink on very sloppily. I hoped that she would file them to look smoother than they did.. they did not. They are uneven (not squared) one side of some of them is curved.. they look very uneven, chunky, blobby, and not at all uniform. I expressed multiple times that particular things were not right with them and one of the times she raised her voice (almost yelling) saying she will fix it.. she did not! She told me she could not get them right because they were very busy and she was distracted. She also said that I am not a regular and she does not know how I like my nails. I was obviously not going to get the quality I expected from a professional establishment (only excuses) so I paid for the services and now I have to go get them removed and re-done at my regular place. I showed them to a few people around town and they were mortified that a place in town would put out work that looks so shabby! They lost 6 prospective customers today just from seeing the work that they put out!!! Save your money and keep yourself from having a bad day and go somewhere else! read more

Luxury Nail is a very pleasant salon. The staff are friendly and accomodating. They never rush the pedicure or nails. I always feel like I am treated well, not like they are rushing to get me through, like so many others here in Durango. They have regular and deluxe pedicures and I recommend deluxe. They do the best job and are so nice! Everything in the salon is sanitized and unwrapped in front of you. They are located by Walmart, Subway and Mongolian Grill. Very easy access. Treat yourself to some Luxury! read more
