Ive been to Luxury Nails three times and found it to be consistently bad. I came in this afternoon to get my shellac nail polish removed and a manicure. The positives: It's open on a Sunday and you can get serviced fairly quickly. The cons: Two separate nail techs tried to push me to get shellac after my two week old shellac was removed. Any good nail tech knows how poor that is for the overall health of your nails. Also, the now three times I've been there my nails have looked terrible as soon as I leave. read more

They are so nice and sometimes they give you an extra treat if you're there a lot! I have seen them give well behaved little kids some money a couple times! I totally recommend Neilly she did my acrylics it 15 minutes and they were absolutely stunning! And was very affordable too! They've had a new management for about two years and it's great! Horrible Customer Service from the Host!! I come here all the time. but after today I will never return! I love Nellie and Vivian they do great pedicures (Vivian) and nails (Nellie). but the person who runs the shop who tell people where to go is very rude. I wonder why almost every time I walk in here someone is going off on him, but today I seen why. i got my nails and feet done on Saturday. paid 132 dollars all together. i get shellac on my feet and nails. My nails buckled and chipped the same says so i came back in Sunday to get them fix. I went to eat after I left and notice my nails buckling again so I'm back today which is Monday. the man said I got you I sat down he gave me the color selection and I was like can you dip it in yellow because my feet is yellow or can I change my toes too he said no I got you let me grab the yellow. I said no I don't want to come back again because of the same issue. Remind you I'm coming from Plymouth, MI. he say I am a professional I said I know Nellie is too I do not think it is you all I think it is the product it self. I have been here a few times. My last visit was for my anniversary and I went in with my husband (who has never had a pedicure before). We just wanted the basic mani/pedi package and during the whole experience, the woman attending to my husband kept pressuring for us to upgrade to their premium package. The woman working on my nails cut my toes too short and filed my fingernails crooked. They were slanted in one direction which really looked odd. I asked her if she could fix them really nicely and she go rude and handed me the nail file to do it myself. I didn't want to ruin my day with my husband so we excused her attitude and I filed my own nails. I go there often , but my last trip last week I got someone Who was rude and kept questions "why short nails" "short not nice, longer better" I kept telling him over and over again I can't I work a lot with my hands (event planner) and I can't handle anything with long bails .. so he put on the fake nail with the nail glue as usual , and BEFORe cutting he applied the acrylic almost to the tip of the long nail ! I got my nails done by Vu Nyguen (guy at #15) and he was soooooooooo unprofessional. When I sat in his chair be continued to browse on his phone. Once he finally got off his phone and started my nails he was being VERY rough. Once he finished my nails he had polish little everywhere on my actual finger and cuticle. I asked him to clean it up to make it more presentable and fix the toe that he stepped on and he began to yell telling me to let someone else do it. I do NOT recommend going to this place. The décor is great and it looks very nice and clean but let me tell you it is NOT. Two days after getting my nails done I was taken to urgent care with a nail fungus. I called to let them know this occurred and not only did they not believe me but told me the only thing they could do was give me another manicure for free. No thank you, how about give me my money back and pay for my doctor bill? They do not use quality products and they file down the tops of your nails so they are paper thin. My rating will be based on both experiences and once you read the review you'll understand why both experiences were necessary to write about. In addition to my full time professional career (because of my marketing background) I often work with corporations or staffing agencies doing promotional work. Why? because it's fun. Nothing worse than an exposed nail bed from grown out nails. Now a few months ago I dropped a friend off at the airport and on the way back home decided to stop and get my nails done. I wouldn't have made it to my normal nail shop before they closed and since I would pass Fairlane Mall on the way home I figured it was worth a shot being so late in the evening. As soon as I walked through the mall doors Luxury Nails and Spa was right there! I walked in put my name on the list and was serviced about 7 minutes later. Keep in mind it was a Wednesday evening. I'm not sure if there is a cultural disconnect or I'm just sensitive about who I chose to spend my money with but lately I've been the recipient of piss poor customer service; the attitudes of some of these nail techs are rude. They express themselves as if they're performing the services for free and that I should be happy just to be in their chair. WRONG CHIC! GET YO' MIND RIGHT! When the nail tech began servicing me there was no verbal interaction. She barely spoke. After a while she warmed up and began to do what human beings do - converse. We laughed a little and toward the end I admit that I had a better experience than I had initially anticipated. I was happy with my nails as well as the time it took to get me on my way. So fast forward to last Saturday - I'm working a promotion that lands me back at Fairlane Mall. I figured hey I'm here might as well take care of my nails. It'll be one less thing to do tomorrow. I enter the nail shop and was eventually greeted by the young lady at the desk. It didn't appear to me that she was a nail tech. She looked to be no older than 14 - 15 years old. She asked what service I would be getting. I informed her; she then told me to pick a color and have a seat. In all fairness it was a Saturday but it was after 5 and there was no one else waiting besides me. After 20 minutes I asked her if she could tell me how much longer the wait would be. Her reply. . . as soon as the next person is ready for you. (In my Tamar voice) WHUUUTT?? I pretty much know and understand that I'll be seen once the next tech is available. The question is smart ass. . . how long is that? I returned the polish to the shelf and informed them I would no longer need their services. The ambiance and décor of this nail salon lead me to believe the customer service would be on par with the presentation - NOT! So if you're looking for a well decorated space, comfy chairs and an o.k. nail polish color selection then head on over. I suggest seeking out the friendlier looking person in the group. I have given this place one too many chances. Every time I come here every service I'm given is rushed. My pedicure should not be finished in less than 15 minutes. The girl doing my pedi was not certified in nails and I am 100% sure because of the way she went about my massage and cleaning of implements. I go in there once a month for a deep foot massage and I'm never impressed. This time around I was so upset I didn't tip. I have been doing my nails for 10+ years now and this is by far the worst nail experience I have ever had. It started with them telling me the wait is 40 minutes, got seated 1.5 hours later!!! Then she said they can only do a mani or a pedi since it was 8:30. She agreed to do both after I begged and told her I have been waiting, that was a decision I soon came to regret. I got a basic $25 pedicure which doesn't include anything besides them painting my toes... I also got a shellac manicure which the lady that was doing my pedicure told me was $25 and then when I got up to the desk my total was $55. I guess each person makes up their own prices? Tip: Bring your own polish. They put acetone in theirs to make it last longer & it results in dull polish Visually speaking, this is probably one of the nicest walk-in, mall type of nail salons you can find. Services run comparable to other, similar nail establishments ($25 for a standard pedicure) and they offer a variety of pedicures and manicures to fit your price range and your needs. Technically speaking, I've had better experiences with acrylic nails and polish. As stated in my tip, they add acetone to their nail polish making it very thin. Polish colors dull much quicker and lack luster. You can easily fix this by bringing your own but it begs me to think of what other cheap fixes and cheap materials they are using. They do use sanitized tools, torn out of a sanitized, medical looking bag which was quite comforting. Previous acrylic nails and fills by a technician named Loi resulted in breaks and lifting over very minor instances (ie- buckling my daughter into her carseat). They didn't hold up.... My most recent fill in by Tammy looks beautiful today but the true test will be how it holds up over the next two weeks.... I will keep you updated! read more

The only reason I'm not walking out feet wet, and unpolished is because I have a wedding to attend in just a few days. They wait on you and give services as if you are an animal. Instead of speaking, she just hits my leg, like I'm dog to be guiding in the right direction. I before she came over I sat in the water until my toes wrinkled, so timing of getting me in the chair could've been better. I asked to see polish options at least 6 times before a man brought it over to me. Had I not been rushed as soon as I walked in, I perhaps could've gone to the polish wall and made the selection myself. Perhaps some don't mind getting a mani and pedi at the speed and quality of McDonald's, but I don't. And if you're like me, then I encourage you to avoid this place! The service I received was a pedicure. When she filed the base of my foot she didn't hold my toes back and took a chunk of my toe with the file. It ruined my experience to say the least. I couldn't look past the pain. She used a blue antiseptic glue and touched the bottle directly onto my bleeding toe. Do they have standard precautions? If not they should be trained. I didn't make a scene or fuss. I was just hoping she'd realize she made a mistake and offer a certificate or something to compensate for this terrible pedicure. She didn't. So I asked for a discount. Five dollars off, that's what she offered. My toe still hurts 5 days later. I'm really disappointed in their lack of customer service. read more
