She saved my hair treated it, colored and cut brought it back to life I absolutely recommend her 100%. So I went and had a consult today with Chrystal. I was there about 20-30minutes. I paid for the extensions I was getting and scheduled the apt for this Thursday. She charged my card for $362 she said and that was the cost of the hair and the additional services would be pain Thursday on my appointment day. I got home and went in my bank account and seen I was charged $404, rather than $362. So I sent her a NICE text asking what the discrepancy was, and also I seen on the receipt it said "tape-in" extensions... so I asked her about that as well. Because I specifically told her I did not want those and we discussed which ones I was paying for. HOLY CRAP... she sent me a text that said she refunded my money, canceled my apt that was in 2 days, and can't take me as a client. I go to text her to ask her why and wtf... she BLOCKED ME... THEN SHE BLOCKED ME ON INSTAGRAM LOL .... wait... what?!?! Holy hell shes nuts. So unprofessional and just weird. I got on my fitness Instagram and write her through there telling her what a whack job she is and how just... crazy unprofessional that was. She writes back and sends me a screen shot of a hair review I made here on yelp like... idek... 6-7-8 years ago??? Maybe longer. It's from when I lived in Texas. So what?? I made a review about a horrible and expensive experience I received. ONE HAIR REVIEW... to thousands of times I've had my hair done !! Why didn't she screen shot the nice one I left of Jeff at Nadia Salon. See... what it appears to be to me is she just took on too much with what I wanted and needed anything possible to get out of it. She is REALLY weird too. So... honestly people, I'd steer clear of that place. I've had several bad hair experiences... left ONE review years ago... and now this one. It's not that I just like to leave bad reviews... not the case at all. But that chick is bat shit crazy and went to some extreme extents to not follow through with what she said she could do for me. She wants to bail on me over a bad review I gave... and throw that in my face via an Instagram msg... when I've had bad hair experiences In North Dakota, Oklahoma, west Texas, Pittsburgh etc. and have only left ONE... one review in all those times; she can kiss my ass!! Yes... she moved things around and was doing hair extensions in 2 days... wow I thought... that was amazing of her and I was extremely grateful of that and VERY excited. So I had EVERY INTENTION on taking care of her monetarily by WAY Over tipping. I don't like leaving bad reviews. And I usually don't. Unless it's VERY deserving. Shit... I wish there were more review sites I could leave for this chick! And people... please, by all means... if you'd like to see the texts and why this crazy lady blocked me... I'll be more than happy to post our conversations from the start. STAY AWAY FROM HER... there are way better, professional and caring salons out there that actually want to make money and build a legit salon with clientele that will return over, and over again. Her salon is in a building where they help you build your business and you move on from there... she's been there 2 years lol. Why?? Because she's obviously extremely unprofessional and CAN NOT get out of that space to build her salon... I'm sure I'm not the only person she's canceled like this for asking simple questions. Crystal listens to what the customer wants, she offers suggestions, and is great with giving her opinion if she thinks something isn't the greatest idea. This is the first salon in Pittsburgh I have found and actually liked! Crystal is amazing, the salon is so cute, and I loved my hair after. I went in with 2+ feet of damaged and grown out hair, and I left with a sleek, shiny, highlighted cut. She can literally take any photo and recreate it on your head. Don't know what the poor review about double booking is about on here, but that has not been my experience since coming to Luxxe. I went back for a trim a month and a half after my first appointment and was in and out in 35 minutes. read more

I don't know Jacqui from Texas is but I do know Crystal Kin. She is the consummate professional, and an amazing stylist. You don't have to take my word for it, just look at all the other 5 star reviews she has gotten. All the clients who talk about what she has done for them and who would never go anywhere else. I have NEVER been to a stylist that cares more for her clients, spends HOURS if needed to give her clients exactly what they ask for. I see that Jacqui has a penchant for trashing the professionals she encounters. Maybe some of them deserve it, but this one does not. And you will have to LMAO at someone else, Jacqui. Hi all. Yes Crystal is talented at her craft. My hair looked great many people I know said awesome. Problem..... She told me prior all could be done in a two hour block. Great she knew I had an appointment at four. She double-books, I arrived another client in seat with color on. Ok then thus only overall color walked out wet hair and to return two days later same block of time for a much needed cut and some highlights. I was on time excited, again another client walked in on my block of time with foils in my hair I was asked by Crystal to move to seat, this girl stated her appointment was at noon. Ok then. I was very concerned my foils on too long I told her clearly I do not want to be blond. Well I was blond thus after she cut and blew out other customers she had to put a toner on more $ and 30 minutes. Thus Crystal double booked again. Long story short two days 5.50 hours and $300.00! Oh one more a second customer walk in after that noon appointment SERIOUSLY? She did finish me. So I texted her said love my hair for sure however etc the cost without telling me upfront and double bookings.
