I have went here after work before for an eyebrow wax and all of the girls were pleasant and did a good job. I paid a little bit more but nothing completely out of line all things considered. A few times when I was getting my brows done I inquired about salon hours as I work in the area and thought that it'd be convenient to go after work. I finally went to my appointment yesterday and show the stylist a few inspiration pics. She did the darker base with baylage and some blonde highlights. I went in with a darker base but most of my highlights were bronze since I hadn't had my hair highlighted in awhile. The stylist was very nice and asked for my input and what color I would like my hair to be toned. The finished product looked decent but nothing much different than what I would've gotten done where I live. As a matter of fact, nobody at work even noticed that I had gotten my hair done. I also see my mother frequently and she asked if I even had my hair done. I just find this very unacceptable that I paid $275 before tip for the same hair I couldn't gotten back home for $120-125 with an experienced stylist. If I had a drastically jaw dropping difference in my hair I might say this an ok splurge every once in awhile; however, with it not being able to be noticed that my hair was done is a TON of money. I will continue to get my brows done but I'm not so sure about my hair. The prices are a little too steep. read more

I LOVE my girl Heather, but even in a pinch to get my mom a quick hair cut the other stylists are great. I also really appreciate the efforts they have gone to recently while we deal with COVID to make sure the salon is safe and inviting. I have never met anyone there less than wonderfully friendly. Just wow! First time booking appts there and accidentally booked my 11 yr old for a child's cut. I should have just lied about her age but was honest when I realized it. I of course wasn't happy but said we will pay the $55 because it's the day before school starts and everywhere is chaos and I won't be back because that's to much for an 11 yr olds haircut. The receptionist then proceeded to get very confrontational saying no one is forcing me to pay $55 and maybe I should leave because we are obviously not a good fit. I said I wasn't going to sit there and argue like children. That I would pay the $55 even though I felt it was ridiculous for literally a trim. She continued to argue with me while I sat there telling her to stop. She basically bullied me out the door. Alera get your shit together! Clearly by reading other reviews your staff are all stuck up snobs!!!!!!!! Let me now add that they of course blamed it on me as they always blame their customers for their wrong doing. Funny I was sitting there telling your receptionist to STOP and she kept going! She caused a scene and was very unprofessional!!!! I had rather thick callus on the bottom of my heels and it's all gone and smooth now. I have gotten spa pedicures at other places in the past but this was definitely the best. Long review but worth it if you'd like to see their true colors. Do not trust this salon, their Google Review is clearly biased, as further proven by them flagging negative truthful reviews to be deleted. I left an initial review on 5/17/2021 highlighting my first hair color experience a few years ago (totally botched job and I consequently had 1 inch thick "skunk stripes" of bleach blonde hair on my naturally dirty blonde/brown hair). Lasted for months even after attempts to fix it both by this salon and my now long time stylist. The salon owner commented early the next day suggesting I posted on the wrong salon as they didn't see my name as a consumer since 5/2018. Magically, this review seemed to disappear when the salon was searched by contacts of mine the following day. They have a 4.9 on Google, but other sites clearly deem them as lower. I then left a 2nd review, as a reply to Alera's reply to my 5/17/21 review suggesting I left said review on the wrong salon. I rarely leave reviews, so I think I would triple check that I was leaving the correct review on the correct establishment. Per their reply claiming I reviewed the wrong salon, I am the patron identified by the referenced date. I was advised by my current now long-standing stylist to leave a review as she saw the aftermath and worked diligently to correct the mistake from this salon. I will add, a mistake that took multiple visits to rectify, and likely a preventable mistake if I was scheduled with a truly competent stylist (they said she had mastered balayage but a preschooler could have done a better job). I fear that they replied to my old comment quickly accusing me of incorrectly reviewing their salon to result in it being flagged as spam or reported. Happy to post dated pictures if I need to further prove the mess that was created, and the correct salon was reviewed. read more
