He was super knowledgeable, funny, welcoming, and explained everything so well. You could tell he had great relationships with all of the restaurants, and I really liked that he also shared the history of MGM Grand along the way. It made the tour feel like more than just eating, which was a really nice bonus. The restaurant choices were excellent and every dish was delicious. The quality of the food was amazing, and by the end we were SO full. The best surprise was at the end when Kevin took us to a hidden speakeasy where we had incredible affogato espresso martinis. We never would have found it on our own, and it was the perfect way to end the night. I would absolutely do this tour again. Thank you Lip Smacking Foodie Tours for hosting us!

All the spots were amazing. I felt like I was in my 20s again visiting the cool bars we used to hang out in!! We have already suggested several people go on this tour. The arts district was super fun too. I'd do this again if the price points stays the same. This is fun for visitors, but locals too! If you have any physical limitations, there are a few difficult parts. There is one long walk. Half mile? There is 1 spot that has several stairs. There was some road construction with uneven parts that you have to be able to navigate through.

Locals can enjoy a lesson and DTLV tour for $25! Others, only $35. A new (to me) addition is SKKI where they take you to Mount Charleston, including lift and lesson fees. Cannot wait to check that out. So happy to see a local man who truly Trikkes EVERYWHERE -- even to the gym -- have a spot in Container Park. You can take the tours, rent or even buy one of these addictive "vehicles." The best part is you don't even have to be super athletic to enjoy the unique fun they offer. Another great way to enjoy DTLV in a green and healthy way. As always, I will leave you with "get outside" THIS is a super cool way! Yelp 100 Challenge

There is a roomy indoor waiting area with a variety of seating, including stools with power outlets. The restroom was pretty large and clean, better than the one at the JSX (the semi-private airline) terminal. There is also seating in an outdoor patio with views of the helicopter launch area. Since I booked the earliest of these short tours, the terminal was quiet and check-in was seamless and kind. Every passenger is weighed at check-in to balance the weight on the helicopter. You have the option of requesting a front row seat ($30); you are charged if and when you are upgraded. I unfortunately did not make the cut, but I ended up being very satisfied with my rear window seat behind the pilot. Our copter had 2 seats in front, 4 in the rear. Some of the other copters have 3 front/4 rear seats: I think these are the ones that go to the Grand Canyon. We watched a safety video in the terminal, then boarded a shuttle for the brief ride to the helicopter. A photographer and the pilot accompanied us. Your photo is taken outside the copter before boarding. The seats have noise-cancelling headphones you can wear; they have music playing. The ride was smooth and quick. You basically go north on the east side of the Strip, make a U-turn just north of Downtown, then head south on the west side of the Strip. You can see every hotel on the Strip and Downtown, plus The Sphere, the High Roller Ferris wheel, T-Mobile Arena and Allegiant Stadium. Back at the terminal, your photo and a flight certificate are available for purchase. I did give the pilot a gratuity, others on my flight (all were non-American) did not. The company offers a myriad of tours--Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam and more. Some of the Strip tours have added perks like a meal or foodie tour; the basic tour I took can include transportation to and from your hotel if you choose. Recommended.

Unfortunately, our experience aligns with several others. Often times, only people frustrated with…read moresomething will bother to write a negative review, but those with a positive (or expected) experience will not write a review. So it always tends to be skewed and you have to take reviews with a grain of salt, so I was hopeful that would be the case for us and we wouldn't experience the problems that others have. Just as several others have mentioned here, our flight was cancelled the day of, after we arrived. We booked SEVEN months in advance, paid in full ~ $1200 for family of four. We arrive 30 minutes prior as instructed. They tell us, sorry, we have mechanical issues, so you are cancelled. They say, we tried to call you (we received no call because, guess what, cell service is not the best around the south rim of the grand canyon...). We said, we have seen at least 4 helicopters flying, how about canceling someone else, how do you select? Did everybody else here book 7+ months ago? Who is prioritized? The reality is they overbooked, and because we paid 7 months previous, we paid less (I looked, their prices went up since we had booked). So I guess we were the easy choice to cancel... They offered to rebook the next day, yet they know that nearly nobody can accomodate this, so it is a hollow offer where they know they can "do their part to try to rectify", but also know that nearly everybody would then just cancel, and the problem takes care of itself. Great business model... Everybody that is going to book a helicopter trip over the grand canyon is there on vacation, and nobody is staying anywhere near grand canyon village or the location of this airport. It is an hour drive just from Williams and the main road, one way. Anyone who books this is driving in from Sedona or Vegas or Phoenix for a half/one day trip, and vacation days/time is precious. Its not as though you can just go do something else nearby and wait until the next day... We had one window of time planned, and the time of this flight was it. I suppose that is why they do not really care about customer service, or screwing someone last minute. Its not like they are planning for repeat customers really... Kids were beyond disappointed. The build-up and excitement, only to be completely let down last minute. They cried as we were walking out and leaving because the talk of the helicopter ride was happening for months prior. And now to the refund. The girl at the counter said the refund would take 7-10 days. Ok, thats typical, whatever. 12 days goes by, no refund. E-mail and call. They respond and say that, because its been more then 6 months, we cannot refund back to your card. We can either ACH (and attached a form) or send a check. I respond to tell then to send a check. Who in their right mind is going to provide their bank account number and routing number into a microsoft word file and e-mail it back? Fast forward ~ 21 days. Still no check. So send another e-mail (haven't called yet because that is a whole other experience...). I receive and e-mail back, not a response to my e-mail, but a carbon copy of the first one sent 9 days prior saying I can use ACH or check. Um, huh? So here we are now, still no refund. Fortunately, since we were heading to Vegas that day (was supposed to be right after our helicopter flight), we booked with Maverick for a helicopter flight over Las Vegas the next day. $450 for family of four, and the experience was excellent all around. I'd recommend Maverick, and avoid this company.

We were told that the raft could hold about 32 people, but we were lucky because on tour we had a total of 17, which was nice. We were also given a bag with snacks and a bottle of water, which was great to snack on during the tour. We met our driver at the Hoover Dam lodge. There was a lot of parking available, which made it easy. Our driver was super friendly and very informative. He took us to the raft to meet our tour guide. Our tour guide wasn't welcoming to my husband and I, but as other guests loaded onto the raft, his attitude changed. As we started the tour we stayed at the same spot for 30 minutes. Our guide passed out pictures in sheet protectors and began sharing about the history of the Hoover dam. Throughout the tour, our guide was testing us about our history. We didn't know much of it, that's why we attended the tour to learn. The best part of the tour was us getting out of the raft and landing on a piece of land to touch the water and skip rocks and take more photos. It was nice to see a few mini waterfalls and even a hot spring! I did wished we went deeper into the dam, but I guess that would've been for the longer tour. Also, I wish we could've swam in the lake, but it was very chilly. It was a great experience, however, the initial encounter with our guide was uncomfortable. We learned a lot and the views were amazing.

They pick you up at a specific hotel they name, and its on Grayline Tour Bus, which is comfy and huge. However, the guy who sold us this trip, said it was from 830 am to 130 pm, NOT TRUE. You will be gone for more then 7 hours. During the trip the guide points out things on the way to the dam, and gives iconic homes built and actors that live there, along many stops to take pictures. But the dam itself is an eye opener and how it was built, and the guide was good, but if you get the tour that is a "Gear Tour" you will watch a brief movie and then head down into the dam. I was disappointed as I thought we were going to go out a door and see the dam at a lower level with the enormous wall that was built rather than just seeing it from a top. Also, there is a cafe on site, if you're on the tour, make sure you go down to the dam first as it is a 45 minute tour, and then grab something to eat, because they don't leave you enough time, Also as we were leaving the elevator went down and some people didn't get to go down into the dam!
