We had a really good tour with Andrew and Wayne (driver) Andrew kept us informed throughout the whole Journey with lots of info and jokes It was nice to break up the journey with a sit down breakfast- it was very efficient how they take your order on the bus ahead of time The visit to Hoover Dam is probably the perfect amount of time spent there The west rim of the Canyon part has plenty of time available to take pictures and hike and is a sight to see Just be warned it is very hot but this tour provides non stop water bottles which is great! My only negatives would be the lunch at the canyon was not great but again it's not a food tour and the bus was a little late when meeting to take off from pickup as there were multiple buses and little crowded and confusion but it all worked out in the end If you're only in Vegas for a little while then you should definitely book this trip if you haven't seen the Grand Canyon read more

Great tour with our guide Ralph and bus driver Manny. We did the Hoover dam tour last year and enjoyed it very much so we booked the Grand Canyon tour this year. I like this tour company because the guides are comedians and our guide Ralph was hilarious and helped time pass quickly considering the ride is a couple hours each way. He also provided educational tidbits that was quite interesting. I've been to the South Rim; the NPS side that's more developed so seeing the West rim was a treat. The West rim is managed by a Native American tribe and seemed more rugged and remote. The Grand Canyon is surreal and spectacular; it's like looking at picture even though you are there in person. The tour also provided breakfast and lunch stops so we were well fed. The breakfast stop was at a restaurant while lunch was at the Canyon (Guano point). They also provide bottled water in between stops (Hoover dam, convenience stores (for bathroom breaks) that broke up the monotony of the long ride. Highly recommend. read more

Several months before my trip to Las Vegas I purchased tickets for my sister and I to take a Comedy on Deck tour to the west rim of the Grand Canyon and the Hoover Dam. Your guide is an actual stand-up comedian. I had to call the week before (you can also send an email) to let them know which of the five pickup spots we were using. One of the pickup spots was about seven minutes from my hotel. But I chose the second stop, which was 6:10 AM, roughly 15 minutes from our hotel. I did not want to sit in the back of the bus all day LOL! We were promptly picked up by our driver Alejandro, and our comedy guide Andrew Hunt. We were checked in and hopped on the bus. We sat in the fourth row. The seats had cup holders that popped down from the seat in front of you, as well as a net, kind of like on the airplane, with power sources between the seats. Andrew did a great job keeping us informed as well laughs along the journey. Once we picked up everyone, we stopped off for breakfast at The Original Waffle House. Andrew took our orders on the bus and called them in. Once we were seated our food was at the table in less than five minutes. This was a 30-minute stop. Our next stop was the Joshua Tree National Forest. This was a wonderful surprise as it was not listed on the tour. We were given about 10 minutes to walk around and grab some pics before our driver honked which meant we should get back on the bus. Then we headed to the Grand canyon. We were less than an hour away. Please note at every stop they offered you bottled water when you get off and on. Andrew handed out wristbands which determined if you paid for the Skywalk. We got off the bus and headed through security. I felt like we walked through three different buildings which all had gift shops. After we made it through security our bus picked us up and dropped us at the first stop which was Eagles Point. Eagles Point was where we did the Skywalk. Then we hopped on the canyon shuttle bus to the second stop, Guano Point. This was a previous mining location. They use to mine bat poo from across the canyon from a cave, loaded it on a cable car and brought it back over. There was a huge covered seating area with meal options. Lunch was also included with our tour and our guide advised the food was better at the second stop. I got in line and placed my lunch. I ordered chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy and a small piece of corn on the cob. The Hualapai Tribe owns and operates the west rim of the canyon. After the Skywalk tour we walked around and saw remakes of a small tribal village which included teepees and a sweat house. Before we left we checked out tables beside the shuttle stop where the Hualapai were selling handcrafted jewelry with gemstones sourced locally. Be sure to bring cash as that is what most of the merchants accepted. We had three hours at the Grand Canyon, then we headed to the Hoover Dam on the way back to Vegas. Once at the Hoover Dam we got off the bus walked up a few flights of stairs (there was also a ramp) then we walked in a bridge to view the dam. There's one point on the bridge where you're standing in both Nevada and Arizona. The Hoover Dam was massive and pretty cool. the tour was great. Johnny and Rod were excellent tourguides and driver, respectively. However, my complaint is about time management. comedy on deck's website says they are different than other tour companies because they have their own buses and can go into places other tours can't. We were supposed to be picked up at 7:00 at Excalibur. They were exactly on time. We all boarded. One family was close to 30 minutes late. We waited for them. why should the whole group have lost 30 minutes because one family can't be in time? That same family was continuously late coming back to the bus at each stop which shortened the duration we had at each location EXCEPT for the family that was always late. They took their time. We waited on the bus for them. That was time my family could have been seeing the sites. We were supposed to get back at 5:00. It was after 6:30 when we got back. That late return did NOT give us extra time to see the sites, only the one family who refused to be on time. The rest of the tour group lost time that we paid for at each stop to make up for the late family at every stop. I feel like we got shortchanged on the tour because of lack of time. Comedy on Deck needs to enforce the time. If one family is continuously late, they need to be warned they will be left. Why should I have paid the same money for a tour and not gotten the same time at every stop because my family followed the rules? I would not recommend for this reason and this reason only. read more

The food at the Grand Canyon was even better than expected and a great surprise. The bus was comfortable and made the long day enjoyable, and both the guide and driver were fantastic--friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. Despite the company's name and advertising, there was virtually no stand-up comedy. At most a couple of weak jokes were told throughout the day. Our tour guide was Andrew. Unfortunately, he fell short of the comedian experience that was advertised. The energy, passion, and humor simply weren't there that day. That said, Grand Canyon West itself is absolutely worth visiting. The panoramic views of the Grand Canyon and the Colorado River are spectacular. The Hualapai people are welcoming, friendly and happy to answer questions and interact with visitors. The BBQ lunch was satisfying as well. Overall, I would give Grand Canyon West a 5 star rating. The Hoover Dam was also impressive and well worth seeing. My recommendation is to visit Grand Canyon West, but consider booking with a tour provider other than Comedy on Deck if you're looking for a more engaging and enjoyable tour experience. read more

Sit on the right side. They do have a restroom though no running water to wash your hands- use hand sanitizer Patrick was so fun!! totally kept us amused and laughing. There are stops along the way at a Mart where you can get snack snacks and also use the restroom. We stopped at Hoover dam for some pictures. This review is overdue since I went to the Grand Canyon last July - but better late than never. As a solo traveler, this was a great option. The bus picked me up at the hotel next to mine (I stayed at the Flamingo, pickup was at the Horseshoe) and after some confusion where myself and another solo traveller had to play musical buses at Park MGM - something about a family needing to be accommodated - whatever, we were on our way. Breakfast at Omelet House was pretty decent - it was called into the restaurant ahead of time and was brought right out. After breakfast, we stopped at the bridge between Arizona and Nevada to look at the Hoover Dam. I could take or leave this part of the trip - I did a Dam tour on my first trip to Vegas. I didn't schlep that far over the bridge. The tour guide was entertaining, and after a nap, we got to Grand Canyon West. We skipped the first stop which is mainly just a gift shop and went to the second stop, Eagle Rock, which is where they skydeck is. I didn't opt for that add-on, upon reading other people's reviews it didn't seem worth it, since you have to keep your belongings in a locker and not bring cameras, etc because they're afraid you're going to damage the bridge. I wandered around, took pictures, bought a couple souvenirs and hopped on the shuttle to Guano Point. This is where I spent the bulk of my time - and got the best shots. The lunch was ok, it was included in the tour - I think they wanted like $30 separately if you weren't on a tour, which is entirely overpriced for what it was, but your options are limited there, so it is what it is. After returning to the bus at the appointed time, we had to wait for one couple who completely ignored the guide - when we got there, he said if you were doing the skywalk, do that first because the lines can eat up a lot of your time. What did these folks do? Save it for last...so we had to wait for them to mosey on over from Eagle Point and left to return to Vegas about a half an hour late... *sigh* I would go again and book with Comedy on Deck again - my husband is jealous I went (he didn't make the trip to see the Backstreet Boys with me, ha) so next time we both go to Vegas we'll do this again. read more

The tour meeting point was convenient and procedures were clear. The trip started promptly and breakfast on the way out of town was pretty phenomenal! Super efficient and, most importantly, great coffee. Next stop was the Hoover Dam. The short hike to the bridge was fine for us but it could be daunting for those with mobility issues. Bathrooms here are limited but clean. The canyon rim stop was in a lively spot but the line for lunch took up the bulk of the time (apparently they were short staffed from someone walking off the job). The bus was comfortable enough for me to enjoy a nap on the return trip. Our tour guide, Tony, was a great storyteller, and driver, Roberto, was outstanding! The tour guide Tony and our driver Rob got the job done! Everything was smooth and on time. Tony talked just enough to give us all the details and a few laughs without seeming like he was trying too hard. The breakfast was just enough especially considering how much effort we had to put in on the strip for breakfast. The tour was great but I can't tell you enough DONT FORGET A JACKET. I usually never get cold but the wind is something different at the canyon. I ended up purchasing a blanket for 17$ in the gift shop to wrap up. I would've paid more because I was so cold. The lunch provided at the canyon was okay. The stop at the damn was about 30 mins. We were back at our hotel an hour earlier than we expected with enough time to take in a show. I did think we would stop at the Welcome to Las Vegas sign but we didn't. Maybe I had that confused with another tour. Definitely recommend if you would like to see the canyon. Unfortunately I have to give them two stars for making us miss our helicopter tour of the Grand Canyon. We chose this company and visited Vegas for the fact the we could book with them an all in one Grand Canyon tour that in included a helicopter tour. Well that never happened because the bus was late picking everyone up from the hotels . We were never told the time for our helicopter ride until we were there and was told that the ride was at 1pm and that the tour guide had called the office to reschedule because we were behind schedule. Well something happened because we arrived late and the office never rescheduled our ride. All of the next flights were full and we ended up not being able to do the ride which was the whole reason for the trip to Vegas and booking with this company. Ultimately we were refunded the cost of only the helicopter ride and received no call or email from the company. Just the refund back to my card. Now if we wanted to do the same helicopter ride of the Grand Canyon we would need to book another trip to Vegas and another tour of the Grand Canyon...but not with this company. read more

This is the best tour you will find to the Hoover Dam and Grand Canyon. Booked this tour on line for five of us from Massachusetts . The tour starts with a picture of the Las Vegas sign. Next you head to a breakfast place, food was really good. This is where you get to know each other and our family went from five to fifty three of us. Your guide Pat will entertain you and keep you informed of everything going on . Straight forward guide with No BS, Bernice was the bus driver and they were the best combination I have ever seen. Next a stop at the Hoover Dam. Tour proceeds for a while until next stop for a bathroom break and snacks. Now on to the Grand Canyon. Tour guide will keep you informed and entertained. Next stop Grand Canyon where they feed you a lunch. Now you are left on your own for about two hours to do whatever you want. You then can visit an outdoor gift shop where you will find crafts made by the tribal people. Beautiful people with beautiful hand made gifts. Price of crafts were reasonable. The bus picks you up here and trip heads back. I highly recommend this trip. Pat and Bernice are a number one team! You will enjoy this trip. read more

End of October was a wonderful time to visit the west rim of the Grand Canyon. Fewer crowds and perfect weather. Better views of passing sites are on the right side of the bus, but we've been to Hoover dam before. Host Robbi and driver Priscilla were great! I recommend this tour. read more
