They further stated that the sellers agent would need to be additionally paid .5%. The second interview was with the Realtor that sold us the house 25 plus years prior. Semi retired. We decided not to go with him due to his underwhelming valuation for our home. We had the sense that he was not truly on his best game and possibly just looking to make a quick buck. Now the third, well let's just say that Dave Miller is 'the goods'. An easy going fellow with a demeanor that brings a sense of calm and seasoned confidence to the transaction. Dave's fee schedule for listing and selling our home was reasonable compared to industry norms. On top of that Dave stated right away that the fee/percentage quoted would be divided equitably with the buyers agent. (The old school way) This takes pressure off of the buyers as they will not have the added expense of paying their agents fee. At this point Dave 'had the job'. Dave also provided another alternative. That was his Realtor/Broker services in a transactional capacity only, if we found a buyer ourselves. It just so happened that with a little legwork, we were able to find a buyer while our home was still off-market. For this Dave only charged a fraction of the percentage quoted for utilizing his full services. I highly recommend Dave Miller for his experience and overall mellow demeanor. I would also like to mention that Dave's communication was exemplary. Whether by text, phone or email, he remained 100% communicative right to the end. I lived in an apartment managed by this company for 2 years. Every year they raised the rent $100/month if you renewed the lease. The super Mark was always rude and condescending, in fact it was actually impossible to reach anyone else at that company. They tried to make me feel bad for having a mouse problem claiming it was my fault and should be expected since I lived on a low floor. Moving out of this management company was the best decision I've made and I'm glad to be in another building in the city who cares about residents. I had an overlap between apartments and moved the majority of my things out since I no longer wanted to be there. They kept asking when I was moving out even though I paid for the full month and they had someone moving in the 1st of the next giving no room for repairs or cleaning. I was nice enough to let them come in before my official move out date to paint etc. as long as they didn't touch my remaining belongings. They moved forward with throwing away everything that was left in my apartment even though I mentioned that I hadn't moved out yet and was still paying rent (poor planning on their part), they did not offer to replace any of the items they tossed however Mark did apologize. Finally, they have good initial rates for apartments...a neighbor of mine who had a one bedroom was raised $400/mo after their first year to raise up to "market value". This isn't meant to be rude, my apartment was lovely and well located and priced accordingly. I just had such a negative experience with management and/or anytime something malfunctioned or needed repairs or just working with Mark in general. I would recommend (and have) steering clear of this group when looking in the Upper West Side.

I got to a showing early due to the fact I live 3 minutes away in the same area, while in their defense our realtor got there 15 min late (I timed it.) The agent showing the home was by far the most disrespectful & rude person I have met in the real estate business. The next door neighbor & the agent were outside moaning, groaning, pointing fingers at my car while my family & I waited for our realtor. Mind you we waited patiently due to the fact that its almost impossible to schedule a showing with this "Mickey Mouse" of a real estate company/business/whatever they call this poor practice. As soon as we got out the car the agent starts being rude unnecessarily in front of my wife & kids. He slams the door open & close then at the point we decided to not even go in & he states "good I wasn't interested either." Like really? Who does this guy think he is? Some sort of big shot? Yeah, right. Good try buddy. I normally don't pull this card because I disagree with it for the most part but this agent was none the less racist.
