My wife is Sarah W, who has been going back and forth with Greg from MODA Realty. Currently, her review is at the bottom of this page under "not currently recommended" so my reply will only make sense if you click on that link below. Greg is one of the most unprofessional and unethical human beings I have ever met. I have rented six different apartments in NYC. I initially spoke to Greg, who was a reference from a friend of mine. Greg was on vacation and referred me to his business associate William. William was one of the worst brokers I have ever dealt with. My wife and I had to chase him down for answers. I felt like we were constantly reminding him to do his job. Greg did give us a discounted broker fee which we appreciated, but dealing with William was a goose chase.    After we finally moved into the apartment, my wife left an honest Yelp review. She just stated the facts and even said that dealing with Greg at the start was great, but then when he passed us onto to William the process became difficult. Not to mention my wife was 6 months pregnant too. After my wife left the Yelp review, Greg began harassing my wife about the review by calling her and texting her to take it down. Also, Greg began calling me as well. When my wife finally spoke to Greg, he demanded we take down the review because it was hurting his business. He then sued us for the difference of the discounted broker fee, which we had emails and a taped phone conversation of him admitting to giving us a discounted rate but now since we put up a Yelp review that he didn't like, he wants the full broker fee now. YES! He sued us over a Yelp review.    At this point my wife is in her third trimester. He then continues to email and call like a sociopath. Did Greg try to have a conversation with my wife on how he could better train his employees so this doesn't happen again? No. He harasses, threatens, and then sues my wife and I for a Yelp review. So, we went to court, and we are not in Yelp jail. The case was dismissed due to a frivolous lawsuit and a psychologically damaged business owner. I want to stress that, while Greg says the judge laughed us out of court, the fact was that Greg sued us and the judge dismissed his frivolous case. Why would the judge laugh us out of court when greg was the one who sued us? Are we done? No! After the judge ruled in our favor, Greg then finally responds to my wife's Yelp review. He posted personal information about my wife - her credit score and our home address. So, Greg and MODA Realty must do a credit check in order to rent us an apartment, but Greg additionally uses this information to release to the public in a Yelp review response. We contact Greg and ask him to just remove my wife's personal information from the review (we don't care if he leaves his response up because everyone has a right to the first amendment), but he refused. He then persisted to email my wife, once again STILL harassing her to take down the Yelp review. I then called Greg and asked him to take down our personal information, words were exchanged, and he hung up on me. Then Greg called me another 4 to 5 times that day and I just ignored the business owner of MODA Realty.    My wife emailed Greg for a last time, asking him to take down her personal information or we were going to report him to the NY Secretary of State Department of Licensing, the NY State Attorney General, the BBB. My wife gave him until 5pm that day and he still didn't take it down so my wife filed with all of them. Greg, the business owner of MODA Realty, continued to harass my wife even asking her how much money could he pay us in order for her to take her review down. Yes, that's right, bribery.   I then emailed Greg and told him if he emails my wife one more time, we will file a restraining order against him and we have not heard from him since. It has only been a few weeks and this guy is pretty crazy, so stay tuned. I don't write Yelp reviews and I can't admit Greg to a psych ward so I thought I would share this about a business owner who is a husband and a father, and how he would handle a situation with a pregnant couple who had a bad experience with one of his employees.    If I wrote down all the crazy interactions with Greg, I would probably go over the characters allowed on Yelp. Greg even brought up during this whole email exchange that he is a Russian Jew, and has been discriminated against all his life and... Really, I'm Jewish, too, bro. What does that have to do with any of this? This man was a thorn in my side for the past 7 months, and harassed and threatened my wife when she was 9 months pregnant and took us to court over an honest, negative Yelp review, so if you want to do business with his man, good luck. read more

Greg leaves out the fact that he sued us first over my initial Yelp review. We only counter sued after being advised to do so by our attorney, who is a reputable, upstanding lawyer. Greg is now harassing me and posting my personal information, like my credit score, on a public forum without my permission. I am in the process of filing a complaint with the NY Secretary of State, licensing division for extortion and harassment. He is the annoying fly that will not go away. Yelp allowed my review to go back up once Greg filed a lawsuit and we provided Yelp with the proper information. I have also reported Greg to Yelp as he is harassing me and using my personal information online in a public space without my permission. read more
