This place is easy to find because it's a colorful building. Parking was super easy and the women inside were so sweet! I didn't have to ring a bell and I didn't feel there was a language barrier at all. Once woman seemed to do the most communicating so maybe one of the others weren't as fluent based on other reviews. Anyway, we ordered two red curries, two green curries (one was to go) and Pad Thai. I wasn't sure if the to-go order was going to come out with our meals, but it was delivered right when I paid, which was appreciated. The curries weren't spicy, not even the to-go green curry which was ordered spicy. My daughters really liked the tofu in the green curry and we got plenty of shrimp in our red curry. I tasted my son's Pad Thai and it was really good. The portions aren't huge and the meals are perfectly proportioned and priced, in my opinion. The staff were super friendly and the meals didn't take long at all. We will return, and often. I am looking forward to trying other items. read more

Thought I'd try it based on the Yelp reviews . Ordered pad Thai and Tom Kha soup. Tom Kha was very good and had that delicious fish sauce funk that I love. My favorite of the 2 things I ordered. Pad Thai was one-note. Too sweet. No other discernible flavors. Disappointed considering all the reviewers who said it was the best they've ever had. They must not have had too many. This is the worst service I have ever experienced at a restaurant. I came into be seated for a meal. The staff completely ignored me for maybe ten minutes. They saw me come in and stand waiting to be helped, then disappeared into the kitchen for several minutes. I sat there waiting forever it seemed while a waiter took a family's order than even served them their food without asking me if I need any help. Wow. Oh my gosh! I drive past this place every day to and from work. Today I ordered some carryout drunken noodles. Delicious! I wasn't sure what to expect as far as heat level. It had no spice at all. Next time I'll ask for some spice. They had my order ready in 10 minutes and were so friendly. I'm pretty disappointed that I didn't get to try this place! The other reviewers were right about the cell phone as disguising the storefront, but other than that it was easy to find. When I walked in the were two tables of customers eating, but no staff that I could see. I ended up waiting ten minutes and the others customers and I kept making awkward eye contact with each other and then looking at the door to the kitchen. Omg! Amazing Thai food in Akron AT LAST!!!! We ordered pad Thai, pad see ew, Tom kha, pad woon sen, red curry, and pho. We loved it all. The pad Thai is flavorful and not too sweet, pad see ew was yummy, the pho had amazing spice profile. The pad woon sen was new to us and turned out to be our favorite of the noodles- great texture and flavor. The number one favorite dish was the red curry- it has a really delicate fragrant flavor- almost like jasmine. Really lovely. I liked the peas in it too. Our least favorite was the Tom kha soup, which was a bit too salty, but we still liked it and would order it again. It's a takeout place, but the eating area is actually a nice size and looks pretty nice. The women working there are super nice and have a cute little son. And did I mention it is cheap too? Beware if you are not one to like spice, as even medium level was very spicy compared to other Thai places I have been to. I called my order in and it was ready extremely quick! As previous reviewers have said, don't let the lack of curb appeal keep you from venturing into Lyeh. Once inside, you will find a few tables and one menu at the counter where you will order your meal. A large framed Beacon Journal restaurant review hangs on the wall, showering the owner with praise for her food and telling her story of coming to the US as a refugee. The atmosphere was quiet and quaint, and the food cooked to perfection and bursting with fresh lemon grass, ginger, and basil. On my first visit, I had to call from my cell phone to get somebody to come out to the counter to take my order. Had the papaya salad, chicken larb, and tofu green curry. I waited about 15 minutes, and it came to about $21. Everything was yummy - I'll try the pad thai and drunken noodles on my next visit! This is the worst customer service I've ever been to. I ordered the drunken noodle that suppose to be wide rice noodle but I got the egg noodle instead. I ordered Drunken Noodle w/chicken and the portion was generous. They have only been open for around 8 weeks, so the interior is still sort of a work in progress.
