on first service call, tech was 4 hours late - showed up at 5:30 p.m. Wasn't able to fix the appliance. Order a part. Over a month goes by and I have heard nothing after the tech told me he'd get back to me the next day. Part finally arrives. Make appointment to get it fixed. Get a call that day that the tech is out sick and a new guy is coming and later than I was told it would be. A hour later I get another call from the "new" tech and the original tech ordered the wrong part! I said screw it and cancelled the service. Get billed for the original techs time. Didn't think I should have to pay this since I burned two vacation days on this, but I did. Then get a bill 45 days later saying I hadn't paid it even though I had the emailed receipt. Just got another bill 45 days from that one threatening collections! Absolutely do not deal with these people. read more

We needed a front burner replaced on our stove. On a positive note, the technician was very professional and respectful. It goes downhill from there...Waited over two weeks for Lyle's to order a replacement part. The installation failed and even worse, something the technician did caused something to spark and short-out. Now NEITHER of my front burners work. (Do you know how hard it is to cook a meal on an itty-bitty back burner???). We received a $290 bill for a service charge! So, I paid $290 for a stove with LESS functionality than I had before! I sent a letter in with my payment explaining what happened, thinking that Lyle's might possibly refund some of my money or at least offer me some type of coupon. Ha! Not a chance! I'm very disappointed in their service and lack of concern. read more

purchased a lg refrigerator last November. unfortunately they have been out eight time to fix a problem with an ice maker. We are very disappointed in the customer service. We have purchased a lot from them and even my mother-in-law purchased all her appliances from them. Not sure when the issue will be resolved or if it will. when will it be considered a lemon. read more

The ownership at Lyles is without a doubt the least concerned about the customer base as is humanly possible. I purchased an 86 inch TV as well as multiple other things over the years from them in the TV does not function the way a five year old Samsung does. The only solution from them as I spent $499 on my sound bar after already spending hundreds of dollars installation of this poor a product. The situation is never going to be resolved and I have no choice but to go to court in an effort to be made whole. Anybody who is looking at this company should be definitely know BUYER BEWARE! I gave them one star as I thought it would not record this and post it with no stars which is what they deserve! read more

We purchase a new GE refrigerator on March 15, 2021 from Lyle's TV & Appliance in Elkhorn, Wisconsin. Our summer cottage was being remodeled and the builder's schedule anticipated appliance installation in July, 2021. Lyle's informed us in June that OUR refrigerator arrived and they would hold it until the builder was ready for installation. We called Lyle's in July to schedule the installation and were stunned to find out that Lyle's sold OUR refrigerator to another customer. Lyle's told us they would order another but it might take a while. The replacement refrigerator was finally delivered on March 17, 2022, over a year after we paid Lyle's and it was a different model, as GE no longer made the model we paid for read more

Possibly the worst repair experience I've had. All I wanted was to have my dryer switched from LP to natural gas. I gave the girl on the phone the model number of the dryer. The repair guy was rude when he came out and didn't have parts on the truck. When he came the 2nd time he wasn't any nicer and did t even have a gas line on his truck to complete the install. And the bill was laughable as well. I was promised a call back when I questioned it and still haven't heard anything a week later. read more

Never ask your contractor cousin how to add a dishwasher in your newly purchased home. It will go from an add to a full blown kitchen remodel. During this process we discovered that the big box stores are for the homeowners on a tight budget. We started going to reputable stores that specialize in what we needed. Lyle's hit it out of the ball park, we got my dishwasher, drawer microwave and hood all Bosch, priced surprisingly better than the big box stores (sale prices included) and to top it off we had a great rebate. We had a minor issue with the dishwasher install, service tech came out, fixed and there was no charge. We will definitely be shopping at Lyle's should any of our other appliances fail. read more

Contacted Lyle's on Friday before the 4th of July requesting repair service on my refrigerator. Spoke to a very nice gentleman who said someone would call me later that day to schedule repair. He assured me they could work on my "residential" refrigerator even though it was in a motor home. In addition, I told him if the unit was beyond repair, I would want to purchase a new refrigerator, Again, he was reassuring and said they had replaced refrigerators in motor homes. I awaited the return call and later that I day I called back and talked with the same gentleman who assured me that I would receive a call to schedule before the end of the day, Unfortunately, I did not receive the return phone call. On Tuesday, the day after the 4th of July (3 days later), I called again and was told they would not work on a refrigerator in a motor home. OK, I get that, but I wasted 4 days (holiday weekend) waiting on a response from Lyle's. All they had to do initially was tell me they won't work on units in Motor Homes. Previously, we lived in Lake Geneva for 20 years and received nothing but great service from Lyle's. Something has changed and they obviously don't give two hoots about customer service. Zero stars for Lyle's!!!!!! read more

My husband and I went to Lowe's to look for a new refrigerator. The one we wanted would be available in about 4 weeks. So we decided to check out Lyle's TV & Appliance. They had the exact same refrigerator and could deliver it within 2-3 days. Then to top it off, it was about $400 less than Lowe's AND even though we didn't ask for a discount, the salesman Matt said he would check the Samsung website and see if there was any discounts available for us. He came back and said yes, there would be an additional $300 off the cost of the refrigerator! We had a savings of $700 AND a fast delivery. I also was warmed to see that everyone that worked there was related and it truly is a family business. It reminded me how important it is to support FAMILY OWNED businesses. Big commercial stores do NOT necessarily save you money. Matt went above and beyond for us. The refrigerator was delivered on time and even the delivery men were exceptional. They took out the old refrigerator (they had to disassemble to get it out the door) and reassembled it outside so we could give it our son. They finished off with a thorough tutorial on how to use the HUB computer screen on the refrigerator. Very impressive and I am thankful we were "put in check" to support family owned businesses, that are operated like Lyle's TV and appliance. read more

Second time that I've tried Lyle's - should have learned the first time. I called to have a Panasonic TV fixed. The repairman"Jack" acted like he was doing me a favor to look at it (at a cost of $50). I told him based on a light that flashed in the front of the TV what the problem was. He called me 3 days later but didn't leave a message so I didn't know he called. When I called him a week later, he again seemed like I was taking up his time. He said the part to fix the TV would be $300 and then there would be labor costs. I went to the store to pick up the TV and Jack said I'd have to come back - it wasn't put together. I picked up the machine,went on line to find that the problem was a bad board. The board could be fixed for $39. I had it back in a week reinstalled it and the TV works perfect. I email Lyle's to explain that when Jack pulled it apart he screwed it up (a little) and I didn't even get a response from Lyle's. I know this is a " throw away" society and technicians are hard to find but it doesn't help your business to have a repairman who is ornery and not up to date on technology(or too lazy to get educated). read more

We needed a new part for our dishwasher that we had bought from them previously. Said it would take 2-4 weeks. After 4 weeks I called to inquire. Said looking at history, part on the other end was never ordered and not coming. They never let us know. Decided to buy a new one so went through them again because they could deliver next day. They brought it in and then said a hose was broke and they had to take it back. Could maybe come back 2 days later. Called them and no one seemed to care. Didn't offer to come back right away and offered no other compensation. Cancelled the whole thing. We love shopping local but can only take so much. Then they call the next day to see if there is anything they can do. Too late. Sad to me that Home Depot has better customer service. read more

The service manager was rude about trying to set up a service appointment from a third party extended warranty on an appliance that broke. When I called the store manager and told him the service department was rude and they shouldn't talk to potential customers that way he said "ok". For a place that claims to be a family business they sure talk to people like crap. I scheduled my service through another party and even when my warranty is gone I would never trust them to touch my appliance or set foot in my home. read more
