I was led to believe that it's nearly impossible to get a home/condo policy in CA, which I don't doubt is true, depending on which insurance company you're dealing with. Without doing any comparison shopping, as I've been with Farmers for years, I took their word for this. Yes, Farmers appears to be pulling out of property insurance in CA. By working with them, to get a condo policy, I ended up with a very expensive and poorly administered 3rd party policy. When I initially purchased the policy, errors occurred that caused me to not be covered (which I was unaware of at the time, as no one at this office notified me). This led to a lengthy reinstatement process that was stressful and time consuming. All difficulties I've had with this policy are explained away as I'm lucky to get anyone to provide me with condo insurance, so I'm supposed to feel fortunate and put up with the extremely slow communication/customer service and high cost. Come to find out, AAA is not having these same issues. I recently did a price comparison for my auto policy, and discovered that they also offer seamless condo coverage at a very affordable price. I switched both my auto and condo insurance on the same day, 12/11. I notified Farmers and my auto policy was cancelled and reimbursed within the week (different agent, office). As for working with this office for the condo insurance cancellation, I'm being told that as of 12/20, the 3rd party has not yet responded. As with everything else regarding this pain in the neck policy, I have no idea how long this will take. This has really been a terrible experience.

Today is May 17, 2026 I called Aaa roadside because I was…read morehaving issues with the car it stalled all of a sudden on Park Presidio all the lights on the panel came on thought my transmission was slipping so I pulled over to the side found a safe place and called . they sent this nice guy out Cameron from Fortes towing company. What a nice guy very professional knew what he was talking about and very happy with him. Cameron cleaned the erosion around the cables on the battery that seemed to help while the lights on the panels went off. I requested a tow truck to take me back home. Wasn't sure if I could drive the car back. Cameron called in for a tow truck for me as I waited two hours for the tow truck that never came. They said they had shortage of tow trucks because there was a event like the bay to breakers in the city and a concert as well, but they never called me back to tell me they were going to cancel. I had to call them after two hours sitting in the car waiting for them. I took it upon myself to drive my car from San Francisco back to South San Francisco where I live taking no freeways wasn't sure if I was going to have an issue again so disappointed with the road service they suggested I leave the car where it's at put the key in the ignition and find a way to get home whether to take a Lift or have somebody come and pick me up so disappointed with the quality of service.
