Amber always did my manicure with next gen and always did a great job, she was very meticulous and made sure I was happy with my nails. I think some time in September or October the management changed, as well as the staff. I called in one time asking for Amber and the person said she was on vacation, so I ended up going some where else. The second time I asked for Amber they said she wasn't there but they had someone else available for manicure. I hesitated but really needed a manicure so I went in. The guy at the front desk was different but I didn't question it. Rachel was the lady who did my nails and she was ok, she also waxed my eyebrows, did a decent job but was on the phone the WHOLE time. I think that is annoying and very rude. Another time I asked for Amber and again they said she wasn't there. Angel did my nails and she did a great job. There were a few "ouch" moments when she buffed part of my skin but my nails turned out great. Finally when I paid, I asked the gentleman if he's the manager. He said yes, so then I put the pieces together and figured out Amber didn't work here anymore. What I didn't like was that when I called, they could have told me Amber no longer worked here. Instead they made me think I just got the timing wrong. I understand they want to keep the clientele but they went about it the wrong way.

I asked the front desk lady about this extra fee and she couldn't explain why I was charged extra. Overall, not worth what was paid. The workers are also very pushy with getting the more expensive pedicure, getting gel toe nails instead of regular, etc. This should be a relaxing experience not one where you feel pressured to spend more money. I am unsure if they might be trying to upsell and overcharge because of the 30% off special they have going on right now. Either way, if I were to pay full price for the service I received I would have been extremely upset because my nails would have been $81 for this absolute mess. I wish this business the best but if they want to compete with the amazing salons we already have in McKinney, they need to make some changes.
