It was about a 25-minute drive from our house, and we parked in the farm's parking lot. We had an amazing time at the farm. Picking our own strawberries was so much fun, and they tasted incredible. Our toddler loved it too, he had a blast picking the strawberries. There was a coffee truck outside the farm, and after picking strawberries, we enjoyed delicious coffee.

Each time I have showed up on a weekend in January and they were not too busy. There is a dirt lot to park in next to a large covered area where they offer fresh food items as well as a souvenir shop. Unfortunately I did not try the food but from what I saw, it looked great. There are many rows of strawberries to pick from. At one point we had the whole field to ourselves. There are so many beautiful strawberries that are plump and ready for picking. They provide you with a flat that holds 10 lbs, but you can overfill it to 15 lbs or maybe even more. The price is very reasonable at $3.50/lb. This is my go to strawberry picking farm. As long as they are open, I will continue to come here once a year.

It was pretty disappointing not being able to have it. I opted to get a strawberry bread (apparently it's always season for that) when I was there and it was really good! I wasn't quite in the mood for a milkshake, but the milkshakes are supposedly good here as well. Besides the strawberry treats, there is a whole store inside with a variety of jams, hot sauces, and merchandise as well as fresh fruit and veggies for sale. The seating area is really adorable (you can see it in the picture I posted). I guess I'll just have to come back during shortcake season to let you know if it's worth the "world famous" title.

When we picked last year it was pretty picked out so we wanted to be there at the beginning of the season. Finally saw an ad in the paper announcing the opening at Sat. morning. There we were, ready to pick and I asked the owner if the bushes had a lot of fruit. I was then informed that they had already been picked for the commercial market. Once that happens the u-picks open. Whatever was left was fair game. Here we go again. To make a long story short it took a little over an hour to pick 5 lbs. priced at $3 per pound it seems a good deal when the supers are asking $5 for one of those little cartons. The berries are awesome but you have to look for the ripe ones. Pretty sure we'll be going back real quick for another bucket. Can't have enough, we love everything blueberry.

Cost for berries was $20 for a gallon bucket full. Compare that to grocery prices. And one special thing they did that others have not is put a harness on you to attach the bucket to. Lex from Bamboo Bakery prepared a wonderful meal for us that was absolutely beautiful and delicious! Edible flowers and herbs from Fallen Oaks own garden decorated the spread, and eggs from their chickens were used in the yummy cake we had for dessert. Shelley is a warm and inviting host and it's always a pleasure to visit Falling Oaks. We'll be back.

My skin is glowing in the best possible way!!!…read more I wanted to share that I just had the most fantastic experience at Fallen Oak Farms. I've had a pretty stressful couple of months so my sweet husband worked with Shelley to give me a spa package. It did not disappoint!! We started out relaxing in the aromatherapy garden, surrounded by the beautiful flowers and butterflies. It was incredibly peaceful. For the spa treatment I opted for a facial with a dermaplaning and soothing gel masque. I especially liked that Candy the esthetician explained exactly what she was doing, every step of the way. I had never had the gel mask before, and it was amazing! I could feel the stress melting away. I loved all the products that she used and I was already familiar with the Image brand. Will definitely be back for this sublime experience!
