Terrible customer service !!! Bought three full rooms of furniture from the local hometown store!!! One piece broke literally, it was a two seat bench for a dining room table . Within a month of purchase it collapsed with two small grandchildren sitting on it . Brought it back to store to see if there was any sort of warranty on it , salesman didn't know and said Bernie would call me , he never did. I called several times after dropping bench off and never heard a word from store owner . This bench was under three hundred dollars not a big purchase but part of several thousand we spent at this store. NEVER again, and I have told this story to a few people who ultimately decided to go elsewhere ! His customer service is not there .... read more

I ordered three pieces of leather furniture on 5/19/2018. It is now Aug 3rd and I only have two of the pieces. I stopped in the store a month ago and they had two of the pieces in PA and would release them. OK - They were delivered. I was told the third piece was on its way from Texas to PA. I called earlier this week and they said they thought the piece was in and would call me to schedule delivery. THEY DID NOT CALL. I called today and said I want a delivery date today and if I do not get one I will be in tomorrow and demand a refund. They called back and said the piece was on the way from PA to the store. They would call Monday and schedule delivery for Tuesday. Disappointed in their quality of customer service. I will not shop there again. read more

Our family has purchased many pieces of furniture from Lynch's over the years. We keep going back because we like the furniture, and the customer service is excellent! Bernie Lynch recently used his considerable knowledge and experience to find and order exactly the sofa and bed that my mother wanted for her new home. Terrible place...bought a mattress, and even though it was barely a year old (and was used in a second home...so only slept on a few weekends a month), one side was caved in. Called and they said they didn't carry the brand anymore and I'd have to call the manufacturer. Then, a few months later, went in and saw many of the same manufacturer's mattresses, which they obviously still carry (and even asked a salesman, who said yes...they carry the brand). I said, "but when I called I was told you no longer carry it," and all of a sudden the salesman "checked on it" and lo and behold, now they don't carry the brand. Seems like a pretty sleazy operation, if they change their story every 5 minutes. read more

My boyfriend and I bought a futon from Bernie lynch and within 4 months the futon was cracking and falling apart. This piece of furniture cost $700.00 for both the frame and the mattress. We called Bernie Lynch and explained the situation and he asked us to send pictures of the damage, so we did. He said he was going to order another one and it would be there soon. After 2 weeks, nothing. We called and he explained that he had ordered one small part for it which is not the impression he gave us in the first place, we were under the impression that we were getting a replacement. We then further explained that the futon frame is breaking in multiple areas and one small piece is not going to make a difference. So he agreed finally to replace the futon frame. IT HAS NOW BEEN OVER A MONTH AND WE HAVEN'T GOTTEN THE NEW FRAME. When we ask him when we are getting it he replies... I don't know. and thats it. When he should be trying to find out. Finally I called him again and told him that the situation is rather ridiculous and he yells at me and hangs up on me. I called back and explained that we simply want a time frame of when we will have the futon and that there is no need to be confrontational and hang up on me like that. He said he hasn't even ordered it yet because he is waiting to get more products for an order so he can save money on the order. (along with more yelling at me and terrible attitude) WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! WORST SHOPPING EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE! BERNIE LYNCH HAS NO IDEA WHAT CUSTOMER SERVICE MEANS. Coming from a very understanding person, I recommend going somewhere else when you need to purchase furniture. *There are other reviews on YELP saying pretty much the same thing. read more

Bought a new $1000+ mattress from Lynch Furniture last year. One that is usable on both sides (remember when they were all usable on both sides?). It is caving in when we sleep on it. We flipped it over. That didn't work. We put a memory foam mattress topper on it but that doesn't work either. So, after months of putting up with the problem, I called the owner of the company since the mattress is "under warranty". He came out this afternoon, asked me how many times I had flipped it since we bought it. I told him "once." He then informed me that the mattress was supposed to be flipped every four months. News to me. He told me that that was "common knowledge". How could it be "common knowledge" when most of the mattresses sold today are single sided? He sold us the mattress and never told us that it had to be flipped every four months. Then, he told me that it was not sunken in enough, even though I told him it was like sleeping on a hill and we were rolling into each other in the middle. He didn't care. He told me that he was not going to do anything at this time; that we should "sleep on it" for a couple of more months. Claimed the factory would not cover it. He had all kinds of excuses and no customer support to offer. I have always tried to support local businesses and, since moving back to Geneva, we have bought several thousand dollars worth of furniture from Lynch Furniture. So, I am really disappointed in Mr. Lynch, his idea of customer service and his failure to stand by what he sells. Go to a chain store...they sell the same products at lower prices and can't possibly provide worse attitude or service than this place. read more
