Win-Dor Industries Inc. Has come through for me in a big way. A couple days ago I posted an…read moreunfavorable review about Win-Dor. The owner, my salesperson and I had a lengthy conversation this afternoon about my door. It had come in and opened in the wrong direction. My door was a special order and as we all know most businesses sell special orders as non returnable. Even in my business where special orders are an everyday occurrence, I fully understand the implications. Win-Dor made an exception and offered to order a new door and exchange the incorrect one at no cost to me. I want to thank the owner and salesperson for taking the time to hear me out and to offer this solution. What wasn't said in my original post that I would like to be known is, from the time of my quote to when I picked up the door my salesperson went above and beyond. Offering options and solutions to my design that would allow me to get what I wanted for within my budget. Actually, what he offered that I could afford was beyond my expectations. I am truly thrilled with the overall project even tho we had a bump in the road. Win-Dor had no obligation to return my door and they could have sent me walking today. What they did today was turn an un-happy customer into a very happy and thrilled customer. I feel confident enough with Win-Dor and it's staff and their abilities to refer all my clients to them for doors and windows. I deleted my original review because I felt as if now it's a mute point. I would ask anyone who read, liked or commented on the original post to please consider Win-Dor for your next project. They made it right and after all that's really what matters in the end. Thank you Win-Dor for standing behind your promise to take care of your customer. I really appreciate it.

Crew of three did a removal of the 50 year old sliding glass door and installed the new door. After…read more2 years when we tried to close the screen door, it would jump off the track every time. It was obvious the frame had become out-of-square. First troubleshooter from RbA confirmed frame was not square. Second RbA troubleshooter discovered that the sill plate was warped, due to installers not adding boards to properly support sill plate. Body weight of users, stepping on sill while going in and out, caused sill to warp, thus inducing out-of-square to frame. Second troubleshooter added a sister board to the existing sill support (which the installers should have done, but failed to do so), then hammered in a few wooden shims to warp the sill in the opposite direction in order to get the screen door to work. Not happy to have paid for a $10,000 door with a warped sill plate after only two years of use. Manager told me the installers did the job correctly, so considered the problem fixed. He told me our house had, probably, settled since the install. House hasn't settled 1mm in 50 years. RbA = FRAUD. We're in Montana. Blaming the faulty install on the old house doesn't represent RbA's "certified, master installers" very well. If old houses present a problem, then, perhaps, the "certified" installers should have known enough to make sure the sill plate was adequately supported in order to keep the sill from warping in only two years. I suppose the "old house" excuse will be used by RbA to justify the new weatherstripping from coming loose from the new frame, too.

A few weeks ago a few weeks ago, I had an appointment for an estimator to come and check to see how…read moremuch it would cost to remodel the shower. The two estimators were two females about mid 20s. They wrote an estimate and sign their name and personal phone number in case I had any questions they then left I didn't get a chance to read the estimate until the next day. In reading it it made no sense they scribbled so much that I couldn't understand what it was they were quoting or what item they were talking about. I called their personal cell phone numbers and the first one what's wrong number the second number I got to answer but it was a person that was slamming me about something wanting to get together with her?? Her answer came back to me via my phone? I then called the main office and was told they moved to another location in Billings I went to that location and that business next to him said that they had moved to a third location? All within about 3 months so of course I'm starting to become suspicious as to what kind of Fly by Night business this is going on.? I made an appointment a week after I called the main number which apparently is a central zone to send out numerous contractors the contact potential customers. I asked the lady if she knew who the two ladies that came to my house were and she said yes could not give me their phone number because it was against the rules and I told her that I already had the phone number that were no good but I would like to have them both notified to meet me at my house 5 days. She stated she would give the message to those two appraisers. On the day that they were supposed to come a lady that I never recognized came to the door and stated something about wanting an appraisal? I advised her that I already had an appraisal and that the date that she is come to my house was the same date the two appraisers were supposed to come. She said one was out of town and the other one was somewhere doing an appraisal but she didn't know where? You could tell she was trying to hold back telling me the truth about those two ladies. She wanted me to explain to her what it was I wanted to talk to the two appraisers about and I told her that I would speak with only the two appraisers that came to my house a week earlier. She did some texting on her phone while she was at my house and she says it sounds like one of the appraisers that's out of town will be here to meet with you. She stated that that appraiser was coming from Columbus Montana which is about a 25 minute drive either way to Billings or Columbus. I finally told her after about an hour I had to go and so I escorted her to the door. I then went to the garage to get my car and started the back out of the driveway when a second unknown lady in a different car come running up to me as I was backing up saying she needed to talk to me about that appraisal the two girls gave me I told her I was leaving I waited an hour for two appraisers who were told last week that they were to meet with me but they didn't do it instead I got two Unknown People come to my house want to know what I needed to talk to the appraisers about?? I told that second lady I'm leaving I got a place that I have to be at and as I was backing up she was walking beside my car talking and asked me to stop my car and talk to her I told her I'm done talking after an hour of waiting for the two appraisers I think something funny was going on with this situation don't know what? I will say this to any person that is potentially thinking of hiring this company I would definitely recommend you do not call them. This has got to be a fly by night company the way they're moving from building to building not wanting me to talk to the appraisers sending me two Unknown People out wanting me to tell him everything about my appraisal that I got etc etc their actions were so suspicious I knew they were not reputable. Once again if you're thinking about going to that business for remodeling I would highly recommend that you do not go and walk away from that business. In fact don't walk..RUN from it
