It would be a mistake to ask for or expect Michelin star cuisine. If you're clever, you ask what steak temperature is popular and use the answer for your order. You will not be disappointed. So this place is under new ownership as of about Oct 15th.. I have never stopped in here before although it is only 5 miles from my house... The place just never really look that inviting.. Then they put up a sign saying that they have Mexican food, and well... That kind of help me make my decision to give them a shot.. The place is done and kind of a rustic look.. I also see they have a pool table in the back.. Feel free to look at the pictures... I started out with chips and hot sauce which they brought me complementary... I asked for a Miller Lite "dressed"... I really like the way they brought me an ice cold mug, dressed in salt with two lines... Well.. I ran though those pretty quickly.. I only saw one waitress... She was a pretty nice hispanic lady.. I am writing this review "real time" throughout the meal.. So bare with me.. Just ordeded.. I am going for the enchiladas (2 steak & 1 chicken).. Well hmmm.. My drink & salsa have been empty for probably about 5-7 minutes now.. She keeps going table to table I am having a hard time getting her attention... OK... I got her flagged down and she brought me my refill for my Miller Light,but... I am not sure what happened to the refill for my salsa.. Maybe I wasn't clear.. No worries.. I am not bashful... I am just going to walk back towards the kitchen door and ask her for it... OK.. Got it.. (that wasnt too bad) The Cowboys game is on now... They had no problem cranking it up pretty loud (on request)... Now I will wait.. DINNER IS SERVED.. My total wait time was about 20 minutes from the time I ordered.. The Queso topping is freakin awesome... The beans and rice are pretty good as well.. This beef is chard perfectly.. The chicken good too.. I must say.. Way better than I expected.. Ok... Well.. I have never had a bad meal here. The chips, burgers and steaks are all great! Everything seems fresh! Friendly staff! The ICE TEA is always good. The place goes by 2 different names. The sign near the road says Neinast Mexican Grill but there is another sign that says Lyons Station. Whatever the real name is I would suggest eating here. read more

We stopped on our way to Lake Somerville State Park. The people who work there are so welcoming and friendly! The food was very good. We had the chicken fried steak, enchiladas, and the quesadilla. I ordered a 16 oz Ribeye and I am very disappointed. Many people said that their steaks were soooo good. Don't waste your money on the steak. I ordered it medium rare and I received it as medium well. She took it back and brought me another, which was still overcooked in the middle and ice cold on the outside. The fat portion wasn't even put over any heat at all. Husband got the burger and nothing special about it. It was a burger. Daughter got the catfish and shrimp plate. Catfish was bland and the shrimp had a thick breading on it, couldn't even taste the shrimp. Other daughter got the brisket stuffed potato and she liked it. French fries were good and hot. But then again it is hard to mess up fries. The waitress was very nice. Don't waste your money at this place people. read more
