So I was out and about this evening and thought..."I want some some good Mexican food". I've been meaning to go to this place since I moved to the area. I came in about an hour before closing, there was a decent crowd in here. The atmosphere was bright, colorful, and very very clean! I ordered a jumbo house margarita on the rocks and enjoyed some chips and salsa while I waited for my waiter to take my order. I order the Enchiladas Verdes with beef. It came out piping hot about 12 minutes after I ordered it. The green sauce that came with it was amazing. They also put fresh avocado on top which was super tasty. Needless to say, I inhaled the food. I ordered a small house margarita to finish out the evening. The server was polite and very helpful. I'll definitely be back! There are several bad reviews that complain about the servers being rude, I thought the same thing until I realized that the problem is that many of them hardly speak English. The food is average or great depending what you get. The margaritas are terrible unless you have something added to them. I would say it's the second best restaurant in Somerville, behind the seafood place. read more

Went here with some friends for dinner. I ask for a Mexican martini and was looked at like I was crazy. Well needless to say they don't serve those....that already has me aggrevated so I order a margarita OTR....tasted like water with lime. Gross. Then comes the food....welp I should have just gone to Taco Bell because it's about the same grade food but at least TB is cheaper. Here is my silver lining, and cause for the third star: the manager comes over to say hi because he knew our friends we were with, and they proceed to ask him why no Mexican martini to which he replies "I'll make you anything you want!" BINGO, right answer! So he did, he made me a spicy mexi mart and I left a happy camper. The main thing I didn't care for is that the whole front room is a smoking section, which is nasty AF. The refried beans were runny, the rice was crunchy and flavorless, and the cheese enchiladas covered in watery canned tomato had been sitting on the plate for hours. These were the worst cheese enchiladas I have ever eaten. The prices are expensive too. The server was good. Please don't eat here. read more

Ordered fish and shrimp and they were both overcooked to the rubbery and tough stage. :( dh loved his beef enchiladas al carbon but they didn't seem to have much chili gravy. It wasn't bad food, just really bland. The margaritas we're very strong, but also really off, like they used a mix that sat in a plastic bottle for eons. Fajitas poblanos had only two pieces of bacon and way more onions than poblanos. But the meat was very tender, no gristle or toughness. The enchiladas poblanos had the most bland chili sauce ever - it didn't really taste like anything. The service was prompt, but not overly friendly - our server never smiled. This has been my favorite local spot for years. I live here and I try hard to buy local. I have watched this place grow and expand and grow and expand. My husband and I went out to dinner last night (Sunday) and it just was not a good experience. Food was not prepared with spices at all. Service was slow and inattentive. Maybe Sunday is not the night to eat Mexican. Maybe it's a new Chef. I know there were few waitstaff that were the regular crew. We finally just left the table in order to get our check. Our waiter did not bring it to the register. Someone else did. By the way, there were only 3 tables of guest. As we were leaving there was about 10 guest waiting for someone to seat them. Always liked this place but this time the sour cream chicken enchiladas didn't have any sauce what so ever. The chicken and corn tortillas was so dry, I wasn't even able to swallow it. They cooked then totally dry without any sauce. read more

We eat at this location about every other Friday night. As long as you order traditional TexMex, you can't go wrong. Enchiladas, tacos, tostadas, guacamole are all consistently very good. And, prices are very reasonable. Margaritas are great, particularly the ones made to order with tequila you specify. read more

Just ate at the one in Somerville. I will say the camerones was fantastic. Really liked it but our steak was the worst steak I've had in my life this was supposed to be a ribeye and I'm telling you it was more like horse meat it was extremely thin overcooked, even though I asked for extremely rare I ended up getting extra well done when I sent it back for a redo the second steak also was very overcooked it was like medium well I said forget it I'll just eat it and at that point I was so disappointed even cutting into it it was very grizly then it was like a hamburger steak definitely was not a ribeye no matter what they say. When I tried to say something to the manager and even to the cashier they rolled their eyes no apologies they could care less. For that reason I would have given them a one star but because the camerones were so good I did give two. Now the guy that kept filling our drinks was fantastic he kept our drinks full on a regular basis was always making sure they were full we made sure to tip him cash as he deserved it nobody else deserved a thing. They didn't care at all whether we were happy or not I do not recommend this place but that is your call read more

Stopped by here for lunch on our way home from Welch Park-Lake Somerville. We were impressed with the fast service and quick food delivery. It was a welcome treat after being hot and hungry from fishing. We had a group of 4 and all of us were pleased with our food. We ordered off of the lunch specials menu.
