Classes in painting, writing, photography are providing an important outlet for artistic talent hidden in our community of seniors and veterans. Bihl Haus Arts support of classes for the Vet TRIIP program is important -- not only because it educates veterans and their spouses in painting, photography and other arts -- but it also provides a means of building a community of support for our veterans to help them heal from the psychic trauma experienced in war and otherwise related to their military service. When they have art exhibits, you have the opportunity to see some remarkable artwork created by people whose talents have been hidden. Great view of the city that includes Hemisphere plaza and the Alamo Dome. Dinner is more familiar "club food" fare that you grow up with than like earth shattering world cuisine, so this is an ok place to be!

However, chamber music concerts are generally more affordable and accessible (e.g., shorter pieces of music). It's classical music at a high level of quality, but a different repertoire than you would hear with the full symphony orchestra. Recently, Olmos Ensemble has been performing at Laurel Heights United Methodist Church in the Monte Vista area. It's a beautiful, historic church with good acoustics; also, it's centrally located and has free parking.
