The service is always top-tier and staff are very accommodating when providing samples or answering questions. You can taste the quality ingredients in each chocolate combination. My favorite chocolate! Pricey but it's worth it! Their seasonal flavors are to die for as well! I'm always looking forward to what they're going to bring in next. I love dark chocolate more than milk chocolate but their milk chocolate doesn't taste so rich like your usual milk chocolate. My favorite is the black raspberry dark chocolate. What makes the whole experience though is the friendly and inviting service! Everyone is just so excited to treat you with some samples and they try their best to attend to everyone when it gets crowded. This is a splurge but very worth it. Laderach is absolutely delightful! The staff was incredibly kind and welcoming, and they were so generous with samples. I left with a big smile on my face (and maybe a little sugar rush ). Very cool chocolate shop in the Topanga mall. We stopped in while we were there for a Yelp event in another part of the mall. I have a friend who is a huge fan of Läderach, so I had tried them before. But I had never been to one of the stores before. The staff was super helpful and friendly, and suggested items based on my tastes. They also offered a bunch of samples, to help us decide which ones were our favorites. I ended up choosing a small box of chocolates that I hand-selected, to share with my Mom. It was great that they had a bunch of choices. I'm excited to learn that there's a San Diego location now! I've been a fan of my local Laderach ever since they opened at the former Godiva location at the Los Cerritos Center. I am a fan of this location, too. Before dining at the Topanga Social Food Hall, we stopped by Laderach to sample & purchase some chocolate. The staff members were hospitable & let us try samples of various chocolate. Known for their FrischSchoggi (chocolate bark), Laderach also sells pralines & truffles, by the pound & by the box. Laderach's hazelnut FrischSchoggi is the chocolate bark that is sampled daily. Customers can also sample other chocolate, within reason. On this occasion, I tried the strawberry curd FrischSchoggi and I found it quite remarkable. read more

Nice, clean and organized store. All chocolates slabs are so beautiful looking and big! For the slab ones I know, I love their white chocolate strawberry and the hazelnut dark chocolate. It's not super sweet and it has a lot of strawberry pieces and hazelnuts in it. I recently got to try the white chocolate raspberry and that added to my fav list . The berry ones have a slight tartness to them which is a good balance with the sweet white chocolate. If you like spicy, there is a chili one too. You can get any size, they will break the slab up to your liking Beside the Choco slabs, there are small individual pieces too. I love the truffles with alcohol. I picked up Grand Marnier, Cognac, Amaretto and Champagne. All are yummy! If you can't decide there are chocolate packs or sets with many flavors you can take home for yourself or for gifts. Their packaging is pretty too! Employees here are nice and friendly. They have knowledge about their chocolate ingredients. Always explain well when I asked some questions. read more

While I enjoy the different varieties in the boxes, I usually purchase a piece from the sheets. There are so many choices to choose from, but I think my favorite is the chocolate with hazelnuts. Every time my wife and I come across Läderach chocolatier suisse we have to stop in & get some of their delicious chocolate. My personal favorite is the FrischSchoggi Hazelnut Dark. The chunks of the Hazelnut in the dark chocolate, combines really well & gives it an amazing crunch. My wife really likes the FrischSchoggi Strawberry-Curd White, which I can agree that it has delicious flavors. Each bite of the FrischSchoggi Strawberry-Curd White, you can take the strawberries imbedded into the chocolate, which gives an amazing flavor. Normally when we are walking by, one of the staff members will be by the door giving away samples to the people passing by. It's a great strategy, because that's how they got us :) They have a good amount of assortments to choose from, whether it'd be for yourself, or a gift for someone else. If I were in a situation where a staff member were not smiling while serving me, as it happened to a reviewer, I would not take it personally; we all have good days and downright awful days. I'm in love with their chocolate. I just happened to stumble upon this place while walking through the mall and I have to say move over Godiva this is my new spot now. Thankfully they replaced Godiva chocolates and I'm so happy to try them. First off the lady working here whom I took a picture of was an absolute doll she was so kind, extremely helpful and just overall very pleasant. She was kind enough to let me try a few samples of the chocolate and told me about it. I ended up getting about a lb of the milk chocolate Almond and darnit I already ate it within 4 days. Ughhhh it's that good. Literally I told myself I would just eat a little bit every week but goodness I couldn't help myself and just went ham like I said their chocolate is soooo good. They also have mini gift chocolate sets and other cute things purchase. They have a variety of chocolates to choose from. I'll be back real soon. I highly recommend. Are they pricey? Wow! The last time I've been to Laderach was in Switzerland a few years ago. Totally did not expect them to open in the US, so I'm very ecstatic to learn that I now can buy Laderach chocolate here instead of flying all the way to Switzerland :) All chocolates are handmade from Switzerland, and imported here, and they taste exactly the same as I've had years ago. Costs are by weight basis, including the chocolate bites on their main counter. They do let you taste their chocolates, which is a plus. They are known for their huge chocolate blocks, and they are a delight! I hope they'll be here for a long time because it's definitely my favorite Swiss chocolatier. read more

Came here for the first time to buy Christmas gifts for my friends and they absolutely loved it. A bit on the pricey side but I expected it. The staff were so nice and helped me create a gift box. My absolute favorite is the hazelnut brittle which they had samples of by the front. My friend who received the Christmas box said he loved the popcorn, pralines, and brittle as previously mentioned. I will be coming back here to buy any future gifts I may give to friends/family. I visited the Glendale location but didn't have as great of an experience as I did in this location. read more
