I've been to this See's location many times and every single visit has been wonderful. The staff is always genuinely friendly -- you're greeted with a smile, usually a sample, and everyone just makes you feel welcome. The manager, John F., clearly takes a lot of pride in the store. It's always incredibly clean, organized, and inviting, and he has such a great staff working with him. Everyone is helpful and kind without it ever feeling forced. Exceptional customer service by Sergio, who went above and beyond! He was patient while I made a phone call to confirm my Aunty's favorite chocolates. It's her 99th birthday so I had to make it just right. The extra touch was the gift wrapping. When Sergio heard it was a birthday treat he asked if I wanted it wrapped and gave me three choices: white, black or lavender checkered pattern. I went with the lavender and I think she will like it. Rosa is very unprofessional she was very defensive when asking questions. Go somewhere else - There was 2 gentleman Robert and I think the second gentleman was Sergio that were very helpful, knowledgeable and when I asked for recommendations based on the few I knew the people I was getting the boxes for liked based on what I had chosen already they were amazing in assisting. Robert and Sergio are top notch 5 STARS I understand it's the holiday season can be overwhelming and if you can't handle interacting with customers in this case Rosa should be more suited not assisting customers in person. One bad egg should not ruin the experience but she really put a sour taste in my mouth that I wanted to walk out after Rosa engaged in the manner she did. Aw dang what a nice encounter. I came to shop for other stuff but saw a Sees and I always have to go into a Sees if I see one. Constantly running low on sugar free lollipops and it's always time for free chocolate when I'm running errands. The lemon meringue was today's sample and as usual it was delightful. The guy manning the counter has been there for decades so they must treat their workers right. He says to get the digital coupons versus the ones in store because you can milk them over and over and never get caught. My words not his. The store is so clean and so much to choose from for the upcoming holidays. Also, did you know you special pack your 1lb or 2lb box with whatever candy you like or just buy the pre-boxed assorted if you don't want to go through all that. Milk chocolate with Almonds that's my favoriteeee chocolate at this store. They are soo nice at this location and of course are always offering a sample of chocolate. I'm sad that they no longer carry the milk chocolate with almonds candy bar but I still come by and pick up pieces of it. The milk almond bark, the toffee, anything with almonds or nuts is good for me. I've never had any issues here everyone is always friendly, my only con is the location is kinda hidden but all in all it's one of my favorite places to come for a little guilty pleasure from time to time. :) read more

I've had Neuhaus, Godiva, Ghirardelli, Baci Perugia, Lindt, etc., but for the price & flavour profile, See's Chocolate made in the good old US of A is for me, the best there is. My particular favorite is the Chocolate Truffles....mint, dark chocolate, etc. I find that all of them are rich in chocolate flavour as well as having a high cream content that adds silkiness, rich diary creaminess, and chocolate butter that makes the chocolate melt at near body temperature for luxurious sensory overload. I imagine chocolate could be listed as a drug closely similar to the effects of endorphins. The See's store in Granada Hills replicates the older "original" decor with pristine white punctuated by accents of black. The overhead lights made of milk white glass in a art deco shape adds a touch of elegance from the 1920's when Les Arts Decoratif et Industriel was all the rage on both sides of the Atlantic. The counters are ensconced in immaculate, clear glass to protect the precious chocolate objets d'art. The male server was an old hand. We briefly talked about the See's Shops in general, and he filled me in on the some of the history & lore surrounding See's. He mentioned with pride that HIS store was a replica of Mary See's kitchen with it being very difficult to replace the old style overhead white milk glass milk light covers since they are no longer being made. He related that my nearby See's Candies in La Canada/Flintridge was also made to the original design. It's great to see workers who still are so loyal to their company. So rare to find in the early 21st century when companies like Walmart exploit their employees with low wages forcing them to go on welfare/public support, or hire them with less than 40 hours so Walmart doesn't provide them with health care either. It seems that See's must be doing something right. See's.....great place to get a good deal on quality & excellent chocolate. $18/lb is a wonderful deal considering some other options are over $30/lb, and you're just buying the fancy name. read more

I think I've only ever been to See's in the shop that's in the mall of my hometown in Thousand Oaks. This little shop has the same nice, helpful ladies in their white uniforms who offered us samples. I got a box of mini lollipops as well as five chocolates. These are some of the best chocolates I've ever had and the quality hasn't changed since I was a little girl. The reason for this is we were rushed as if we had a limited time limit. When we made our choice they would ask right away what do you want next. The service was without a smile I purchased other packets of candy and the clerk asked are you done. I completely understand if there having a tough day but we arrived about 9:15am. Needed a last minute gift idea so I called around other locations to see if they were open on Easter and sure enough this was the only one open closest to me in the Valley. I took my mom with me because this was actually a gift for her friend/co-worker. We were greeted by a friendly female staff member who gave us each a free sample of caramel filled chocolate. We looked at the menu where the box chocolates were and picked out a assorted mix. They had a coupon deal for $5 off a $30 purchase so we went with the mix and a box of peppermint patties. I LOVE See's Candies and have fond memories coming to this location as a kid. That all changed today..... Although it is the holiday season and the store does tend to get busy, today was not so bad since I went in pretty early. As my son and I waited patiently in line to pay for our boxed goodies we were given our 'samples' as they do to all of their customers. Since I was not going to pick and choose any candy behind the counter I continued to wait my turn in line so I can pay accordingly. Once it was my turn at the counter the gal who I thought was going to ring me up....just ignored me and proceeded to assist another customer with her choice of candy. Very rude! A short time after, another gal by the name of Rosa assisted me and asked how I was doing. I voiced my disappointment about the other gal. She proceeded to say, "I don't mean to be rude....but we need to do the sampling before we can assist customers." I told her we did receive our sampling and so did all the others by another See's worker. Rude Rosa proceeded to argue with me about 'sampling' and even said in a rude condescending manner, "I hope you have a happy holiday!" I replied with the same tone "you do the same.' Before, she was done with my transaction to get a rise out of me as she continued to talk again about their sampling protocol. I had to tell her to stop talking and to just finish ringing me up!! All she wanted to do was push my buttons!!! Unbelievable and not professional!! You do not need to treat your customers that way, nor do you need to argue or talk down to them. I could not believe Rude Rosa's tone, poor customer service, and condescending remarks towards me. All I wanted to do was pay for my candy and proceed with my busy day. All Rude Rosa wanted to do was argue, and give this store a bad taste in my mouth. Mrs. See's would be turning in her grave at the way these workers run her famous store. I will never return to this store again, and I hope management and corporate read and take note how this store is being run. Stopped in today for a chocolate fix after eating next door at Fatburger. Sees is a staple.... Consistency has always been the key for Sees, never changing over the years. The only thing I would do different is to change the ambiance a bit to be a lil more up beat. It's so dreary inside, too quiet, almost like a morgue. They def need some cheery music and maybe change or update those awful white 1930's dresses they make the employees wear. Other then that...the chocolate never disappoints! read more

This store is a bit small, and I think they staff here are a bit pushy and don't just let you walk around without accosting you with questions about what you want. That with the combination of this place being small makes the convenience of it being close to me less desirable a location for me to frequent. That being said, it's See's Candy!
