I've only had their chocolate bars (where you can find them at select places around the city) as well as their soft serve during the summers. Their store is small where there is no seating. Upon entering, you are met with a display of bonbon chocolates. To the side they have a wall full of their chocolate bars and they also have a freezer with their ice creams/soft serves as well. Their bonbon flavours are quite unique, many of them being Asian flavours (think tangerine jasmine, ume black sesame, coconut pandan, Ovaltine, tom yum lemongrass, White Rabbit, salted egg, durian, Pei Pa Kao (if you know you know!)). Their chocolate bars also are quite unique as well like the mi goreng (Indonesian fried noodle), durian, hojicha, and caramel pork floss). I had their soft serve last year which was a lemongrass gelato with yuzu/caramel & jasmine tea agar jelly. This year when I went, they had toasted milk with Pei Pa Kao (regular cup is $6.50, a mini cup is $5). Such interesting and unique pairings, something I've never had before (especially pair the Pei Pa Kao with ice cream haha!). Overall, a chocolate gem in East Chinatown. I ended getting the 16-piece assorted box and they were $57! I have to say this was one of the most unique and memorable chocolate experiences I had. Each piece felt like a mini adventure, combining bold, unexpected flavors you wouldn't normally associate with chocolate-- but they work beautifully. Standouts for me were the dragonfruit black sesame, Thai tea, and tom yum lemongrass. The craftsmanship behind each flavor is incredible, yet somehow addictive. These chocolates is something to savor slowly. Don't pop these like candy-- smell it, feel it, look at it, and taste it slowly.... Also I love the color on each individual ones!! The bonbons are very colourful and are decorated artfully, and above all, tasty. There were so many flavours, making it hard to choose. They make thousands of bonbons everyday in a 3600 sq ft kitchen. There is a single lady operating the trailer. The customer service is good. The bonbons are really good! In 2018, founder Kata, showed off her bonbons at a "One of a Kind" show with a table. They became the hit of the show! She sold bonbons in her spare time. She then founded a small store called Lion Coffee. Then she opened up a store, Chocolate de Kat, on St. Clair Ave W. At other chocolatiers, the staff just break it off with their hands and then cut it haphazardly. Also, the Dubai chocolate here seems to be the best out of all the ones we tried--just the right amount of sweetness with thin, soft layers of chocolate on both sides. Other places the chocolate on the outside is harder/thicker and the filling is too buttery. We love this one and hope to get more on a future visit instead of at other chocolatiers.

After being greeted with a smile and hello by a friendly customer service associate, I browsed through the store with the intention of buying a box of chocolates as a gift. The gift baskets on display also looked like a nice gift idea. I was contemplating buying both the basket and the box of chocolates when the nice staff person offered me a sample to try. While deciding on which gift basket to get, I placed the chocolate sample in my purse and forgot about it. Upon returning home I opened my purse to a melted chocolate mess.
