What I received was a gorgeous Olive Bush that looks absolutely stunning on my rooftop deck (photo below). Yes it's pricey but you're paying for the quality and the aesthetic. Color me a very happy customer. I never really considered myself a person with a green thumb, but I thought it was time to get a nice plant for our home, especially knowing that it puts oxygen back out into the air and simply put, beautifies your home. I knew that I didn't want to go through the whole potting and adding soil process meaning that I just wanted it delivered all ready to go where the only thing I'd need to do was check the leaves and water periodically. We decided on a pothos and based on my extensive research, I chose to order from Leon and George on around May 3rd and we received on May 7th. I loved the fact that they ship their plants in a nursery pot and then inside a ceramic pot of your choosing. I chose the white ceramic pot with a draining hole and the accompanying dish on the bottom. Very nice! I was a bit nervous about the plant being shipped from California to NY, but it arrived perfectly fine and we couldn't be happier. Our plant is thriving much to our delight and even though our pothos needs very little attention, I find myself checking on it twice a day. LOL. A great big thank you to Allison and the wonderful team at Leon and George for being so responsive to my questions and for overall exemplary customer service. I highly recommend Leon & George. I'm lucky enough to live in a city where they hand deliver because plants if you purchase at least one 4' plant. I've ordered a lot of plants that arrive via UPS or FedEx and it takes an hour to unpack it, pick up all the little Styrofoam pieces off my floor, FREE the poor plant from the miserable packaging, and then break down the boxes, which are filled with spilled soil UGH! This is a huge task for me AND the plants are usually half dead, if not fully dead, upon arrival. What a waste of time and energy, right? Sam from Leon & George delivered my plants and my cute little plant ornaments, and was very helpful by placing the plants where I wanted them in my home. Sam & George also provide simple, detailed instructions on their website for all their plants so you know what plants to buy for what kind of light you have, and their website tells you what each plant will give to you and your environment. Did you know plants can be more than beautiful additions to your home? They usually are! And to make it super convenient, Sam and George also include a very nice card with each plant with full descriptions of how to care for them so that you don't have to go to their website to look it up. Very disappointing customer service. I bought an expensive large olive bush which after some time developed scale. We tried many things to clean up the infestation, but realized that the plant was unlikely to survive. So I went back to Leon & George and re-ordered the same plant, same size, which now cost even more money. Shipping was delayed and when it arrived both the plant and pot are significantly smaller but with the same item number and description. When I reached out the company they cited increased costs to them, but they had not updated their item online. I complained that I paid even more for a significantly smaller product, and they offered me a relatively small gift card. I don't want another little plant, so the gift card does not hold value. I'm pretty appalled by this callous skimpflation. The company keeps citing their business needs, but doesn't seem to recognize that they are customer facing. I won't be back, nor will I recommend. read more

I received my FLF yesterday and was a bit disappointed and underwhelmed with delivery and the product. I paid the extra money for white glove delivery but the day before delivery I got an email saying that in home delivery is suspended because of covid. I understand that, it's a safety precaution but why did they allow me to pay the extra fee if the delivery driver was just going to drop it off at my door just like UPS or FedEx would but for a much cheaper price?.... It should have been very clear at checkout that due to covid white glove delivery is modified. In addition, the plant itself has a few brown spots, isn't really a nice deep green, and the leaves weren't shiny or polished looking upon delivery. I had higher expectations considering the price and marketing. I was at wholefoods today and saw a FLF and it was in much nicer condition than what I received yesterday - for a fraction of the price. I am very happy with this company. I found them with a simple Google search because I didn't want the hassle of having to go to a home improvement store or nursery and find a decent plant, buy a nice pot, replant it, and possibly have to rent a truck to get it here. I just wanted it to show up at my door, and that's exactly what happened. Although I truly wanted the pink rubber tree, their site aptly notified me that it wasn't exactly pet friendly, which is really important. So I settled for the cast iron plant, which I'm very happy with. I hope it grows a little taller, I think when they arrive you always expect it to be a little bigger, even when they have the measurements on the site. The delivery driver was very knowledgeable and helpful. You can track the driver on the web for the day of delivery. My only suggestions for them would be to add a "Search" feature to their website by keyword. read more
