The best place EVER! I love plants and came here since the reviews were so good. I TOTALLY understand why the reviews are good. This place is small and full of all different types of plants big and small. The service was excellent and she was very helpful. The prices are cheaper here than others in the area. If you want a well taken care plant come here. I definitely will be back for more.

The service is always great and whenever I go there is always a great selection of healthy plants. Their prices are very reasonable.

I love Jays plants! The epitome of "bonito, bueno, y barato!" I just moved into a new apartment and needed some new plant babies to brighten up the space. I cannot believe I found this gorgeous Thai Con Monstera!! For only $80!! My new rubber tree looks great and my snow queen pothos got upgraded to a bigger pot already! I will definitely be coming back, especially since they're located right next to a parking lot!

I will never buy my plants anywhere other than Jay's! I've gotten a few plants before from Home Depot and Lowe's for triple the price that I've had to nurse back to health. Jay's has an incredible selection of wholesale priced and healthy HEALTHY plants ready for a loving home. I got a monstera here that has tripled in size since I got it 5 months ago. I also got some sanseviera laurentii snake plants that have been growing up a storm and popping out new pups frequently. I feel comfortable purchasing my plants here because I know these plants are treated very well and I will happily spend all my money at this family-owned business. The one downside is the location close to skid row. Definitely bring a friend and stay aware of your surroundings coming to and from the shop. I've noticed a growing population of people experiencing homelessness near the shop since the pandemic and at times I feel like it is not a safe area. Other than that, highly highly highly recommend Jay's! I can't wait to come back soon to build my plant family even more.

Open with a sweet older lady taking care of the store front. When I parked my car and checked the meter, she let me know right away that there's no fees on this Saturday morning. It was sweet. She stood outside talking to an older gentleman while I shopped. Store is decently sized, as it goes back decently far enough. You find a variety of plants, ranging in size. They're well priced but not labeled, so you have to put your big girl pants on and ask. I spent about 80 with the purchase of 12 plants. I suggest bringing cash, even though she accepts card. She helped me out to my car which was a sweet cherry on top as I think I got a little carried away. I'd definitely come back.

Good HEALTHY plants and good prices. The staff is friendly, patient, and knowledgeable about plants. Definitely recommended for new plant parents and anyone looking to add to their collection. I refuse to shop anywhere else.

They got little house plants and influencer plants that all the L.A. apartments, hotels are sporting. Jay's plants is definitely where all the hot plants are at for a good price. I was looking for a prayer plant and they were out and told me to come back on Wednesday. I left a with a pretty pink splash plant for $3.50! The owners were really nice and answered everyone's questions. It's best to get there early and during the week for the best selection, but I was cool with my plant that I got.

I can't believe I got this plant for only $13 dollar, it was huge, healthy and the lady gave me tips to keep the plant healthy. I couldn't be any happier, I recommend they have really good prices for both rare and common plants.

Ugh love this place. They're so nice and helpful and the plants are soooo cheap. If you get your plants anywhere else issa mistake

This place is awesome! I got two small and one medium-large plant for a total of $50. The same types at a corporate plant shop would set me back probably twice as much if not more. This is a small local shop but it has SO many plants. Pretty much anything you can think of. I'm an aspiring crazy plant lady and this is officially gonna be my go-to. There are no price stickers but you can just ask the lady working there and she'll tell you anything you want to know. I'll be back often!

I found this place a couple years ago after eating next door at Poppy & Rose; the rows of cute succulents pulled me in. The shop is small but they have HANDS DOWN the best prices and I've been coming here ever since. Every person I've dealt with there is nice and their plants are always well taken care of. I attached a pic of my latest plant spree.

"Oh, Mickey…read more.. You're so fine! You're so fine, you blow my mind! Hey Mickey! Hey Mickey!" Mickey Hargitay Plants is the coolest little big plant store, plant nursery, garden center and serene landscaping places I've ever seen. From the pure vibrant vibes to the incredible staff that make this gem thrive. Tucked away in Hollywood on the cusp of West Hollywood off of Sycamore Ave and Fountain Avenue, just a small skip east from La Brea Avenue. They're open from 9 AM until 5:30 PM all 7 days of the week. And carry plants, planters, gardening essentials and wonderoud things of all shapes and sizes. I've been passing by frequently for nearly two months on my way to work usually before they're open or after they're closed on as I make my way home and finally got to stop in and explore. That wave of calm, relaxation and vibrance that being around nature and all it's planty goodness lives here in abundance. Explore in person, place orders for pick up or even delivery. Mickey Hargitay has a rich history to match it's ambiance since it's birth in 1980, starting off with succulents, cacti and their own macrame designs Voted one of the best places to buy plants in 2015. Featured in the L.A. Times in 2016. Featured in Voyage LA in 2021. Not to mention a great spotlight in 2025. Founded and owned by Mickey Hartigay Jr. a fellow Sag and plant lover like myself. He and every single person here is a gem, I picked up on nothing but good energy even after the end of a long day and rainy weekend everyone here does their best to bring a slice of joy to each person. Ringing up my assortment right as they were closing they still didn't miss a beat. Hoping to stop in a lot more (scheduling pending) and get to know everyone, find more plants for the house as well as a new plant for my boyfriends place of even bring him in to explore. Pup friendly. Family friendly And very much open to all. Recently started following their Insta and I'm "obsessulated!" Easy parking in the neighborhood, street parking primarily or an easy stroll in closeby, riding the metro or parked off La Brea. Four new very healthy plants in various sizes for under $20... This was a 30 minute drive for me but that's nothing when it comes to enjoying a walk through some awesome plants. There isn't much parking and you have to find a spot on the street. Upon entering the property you are consumed with lush and rare greenery. I found many sought after plants and they were priced accordingly. There are many areas in their outdoor area as well as inside the greenhouse. Most plants have a price on the pot of on a tray if there are multiples. There is also a pottery shop although I didn't go in there. I could have easily left with a car full of plants but was able to exercise restraint and only left with a sweet Hoya Polyneura. Hope you enjoy my photos!

Jimmy is one hardworking dude, I see him there all the time. This plant spot is great for small gifts like a $10 plant or a thousand dollar Australian tree! They're pretty amazing and he has a great selection. Parking is not that hard. Just drive up college street towards Jade Wok and there's plenty of metered parking north of hill street. That's a 3 min walk. Or try the lot by Bruce Lee statue ($5) or get a slice at La Sorteds and park in their $5 lot. Or go to the atm across the street at Bank of America and get validated. **OK INDOOR HOUSE PLANT SELECTIONS IN CHINATOWN**…read more After eating at nearby Broadway Cuisine, we wandered into this garden shop while exploring the area. PARKING There are nearby lots, but we had street metered parking. Most likely limited, especially on weekends. AMBIANCE A typical Broadway storefront in the heart of Chinatown. The space is airy and bright, with natural light filtering in from above. PLANTS I purchased a 12" watermelon peperomia for $40. They didn't have the fiddle-leaf fig I was hoping to find. Credit cards are accepted. The overall plant selection is decent, and everything looked healthy. OVERALL The staff was pleasant but hands-off, not informative unless you ask. I didn't receive care instructions until I was practically out the door. Pricing leans medium-high (but reasonable), so this isn't a budget-friendly stop, but the quality is solid, and it's nice to support a local, family-owned business.
