They're pretty amazing and he has a great selection. Parking is not that hard. Just drive up college street towards Jade Wok and there's plenty of metered parking north of hill street. That's a 3 min walk. Or try the lot by Bruce Lee statue ($5) or get a slice at La Sorteds and park in their $5 lot. Or go to the atm across the street at Bank of America and get validated. Afterall, I had only ever admired the tree in a 25+ gallon pot. The 15/gal were flimsy twigs in a pot seemingly 3xs too large. My Hail Mary was to reach out to Moon Valley, and like the others, I was told that they have what I want in store. I made the decision that if this nursery did not provide, I would give up the search for a later time and with better planning. Just as I was pulling into the lot, "Eye of the Tiger" played on the radio, everything felt kismet. The trees and staff at Moon Valley were full of life compared to all the others I had seen today! Since I had called ahead, they already knew what I had in mind. First I told them my budget and then a lovely service member was queued and ready to go-cart us to the product within my budget. It was the most beautiful one I had seen all day and exactly what I had wished to find. Best Father's Day gift I have chosen in many years. 10/10, would recommend.

A friend gave me a tiny prayer plant in a little plastic pot and I enjoyed it for a number of months on my mantel. Then I realized it really needed to be repotted. It was growing and obviously didn't have room to spread. The original plant had about 4 or 5 leaves. Look at it now. Armstrong replanted it for me and gave me fertilizer that needs to be used every 6 (!) months. Also got the beautiful terracotta-colored shiny pot and saucer. This is my go-to place. In the past I bought most of the new plants for my garden here, and Armstrong delivered them. Love this place.
