Philly cheese steak minus a few bites
    Daniel C.

Decided to give this place a try as it is new in an area with already a ton of different options. Walked in, ordered my food (gave the philly cheese steak a shot) and waited for them to prepare it fresh. The sandwich only came out to $16.00 which I found a little pricey, but I said honestly if it's unreal I have no problem paying for good quality. Took the meal hope and opened the box *refer to picture* * please note this was after a few bites* this was by far one of the most disappointing "philly cheesesteaks" I've ever had and to make matters worse I felt ripped off. If this establishment wants to survive in this area, please raise the quality of products used in the dishes or drop the price drastically to reflect on the product. Will not be back anytime soon

Came here for lunch and waited for 40 mins!!!!!! The store was not busy (only 3 customers including myself) and the person behind me got their orders first!!!!! I only ordered one damn burger. So much hype in the reviews, but it's not as good as they say. Such a disappointment!!!!!!!!

    Way up

Ahi tuna sushi press 3. Baja fish tacos. 4. Crispy chicken cobbs salad. All deserve praises. Delicious. Flavorful. Refreshing. The right crunchiness and flavor balanced. No grease. Due to this experience, I came for the 2nd time with another friend. Ordered: 1. Pretzel bites (signature)- huge. Salty and savory. Good but didn't leave much impression. 2. Brussel sprout (signature)- love at first bite for both of us! It's like you want to keep eating. Definitely reorder on my next visit. 3. French dip - friend said this is alright. 4. The main (signature) - not as juicy as i hope. Not dry per se but definitely could be juicier. I switched the fries to mix green. The salad is more enjoyable than the burger. Lol 5. Creme brule. Nth can go wrong with it. My friend finished the whole thing. I find it too sweet, but it's just preference. 6. Bake fruit tart - surprisingly really good (and surprisingly i finished all by myself too)..it was soft crusty 'pie' with fruits filling inside (seems like apple and strawberry). The strawberry hint of tartness bring the refreshing flavor and well balance flavor with the vanilla ice cream. Friendly and attentive service. Already plan to come back with another (new) friend.

The wait time before we were seated was 45 minutes. But Boy was it worth it. The menu was full of abundant choices. We ordered 1. Slider burger appetizers 2. Egg rolls sampler appetizer 3. Louisiana chicken pasta 4. Chicken and shrimp gumbo 5. Shrimp tacos The food came in ridiculous large portions Wowza And everything tasted extremely flavourful We all were thoroughly full from all the food The only suggestion I have is to avoid the shrimp tacos. They came kinda soggy. But everything else was wonderful. We will definitely be back to enjoy this establishment as there is a reason they have been there so long An easy recommendation if you are looking for some casual dining of American fusion cuisine.

But what can I say? I've never had pork that was as tender and juicy like this! It was so surprising cause the pork souvlaki from food courts are always on the drier side but not here! And the in-house tzatziki sauce? Mouthwatering! The portions (if you've not already heard) are huge and explain the higher price for a plate (around 23$+). If you're not too hungry, you can definitely split a plate. Despite the fast paced environment, the staff kept a good vibe and even offered to have me come back after eating to pick up my cheesecake slice so it can be kept cold until then. That to me shows they care about our experience dining at their restaurant. Can't wait to be back!

I've been to the Hoops downtown Toronto many times, but only because its closest place to get a beer during Fan Expo. The food was average at best so I didnt have high hopes for this location. We wandered in on a Friday night, and boy has it changed since The Smoke was there. There are tv's EVERYWHERE, which is pretty awesome. The place is pretty ugly though. Yeesh. Talk about drab. The staff are all very young and inexperienced, but very nice and accommodating, and got our orders perfectly. This place just opened so I'm sure it wont take long for them to feel more natural and at ease. The bar was impressive and has a great selection of liquors. This place will be perfect for anyone coming just to watch and game and have a drink. Cuz the food is not great. I ordered the special of the day, steak fajitas. They were awful. Steak was overcooked and bitter. Hard to bite through. The veggies were slimy. Yuck. My wife's chilli nachos were pretty good! Fyi there is no kid's menu, so we got our kid chicken fingers and fries. The fries were decent. The chicken fingers were bland but were cooked well and had an awesome crisp to them. But yeah bland chicken fingers. It was also drafty in there. Chilly. Not cozy. They did have a DJ there playing who was good, music gave a good vibe to the place for a Friday night. In the end this place feels like a pub from 15 years ago, when this kind of food was expected from a pub, before all the chain pubs stepped up their food game. Stick to the booze and enjoy the game, and you'll like this place. And hey the fries are good.

The vibe inside is cozy and relaxed with a modern café-bistro feel. It's bright, welcoming, and definitely lives up to the name "Chillax." It feels like the kind of place you can sit and enjoy a slow brunch or a casual dinner without feeling rushed. For brunch, two dishes really stood out. The braised pork eggs Benedict was fantastic. The pork was tender and flavorful, and it paired perfectly with the creamy hollandaise and poached eggs. The gochujang fried chicken brioche burger was another highlight. The chicken was crispy with just the right amount of spice, and the soft brioche bun tied everything together. We also came back for dinner and tried the seafood paella, which was rich, comforting, and packed with seafood. It's definitely a great dish to share. For drinks, the cheesy mango ice matcha was surprisingly good. The mango adds sweetness while the cheese foam makes it creamy and indulgent. A really unique combination that works well. Prices are pretty reasonable for the quality and portion sizes, with most dishes around the $20-$30 range. Overall, it's a great spot for brunch, dinner, or just drinks.
