I went in, the look was true to form to what I was expecting, and was greeted and seated right away. The big TVs do dominate the locale and deal with the local religion - hockey. The resto-bar was clean. A menu was brought over quickly. The server immediately made me aware of the nightly specials. It changed what I would order. I appreciated that. I settled on a burger platter, to which I added cheese. With it, I had a root beer. (The special that night was the burger platter and one could have it with their lower cost domestic beers, or something without alcohol.) Rounding out the platter was a nice serving of fries ... the kind with the ridges ... and they were good. The platter took a while to come to the table. However, given how good it was, this didn't matter. They got it right. The final tab was to my liking. I added a tip to reflect how welcoming and good natured the service was. Note that, even though later hours are kept, the kitchen closes a little earlier. Not knowing the landscape, it then became apparent that St. Louis Bar and Grill is a chain, albeit a sports bar that would, in my opinion, channel wings and ribs from places in the U.S. Lastly, it's less than 2 large blocks from the terminus station of TTC Line 1 up at Vaughan Metropolitan Centre.
