Upon…read morecutting the grass, the workers left severe track marks from their machines, moved items out of place (which they did not move back), and did not even have the courtesy to close our gate (we have 2 dogs that could run out). On top of all this, they blew a whole load of grass onto our tree ring and absolutely ruined the aesthetics of it. Granted, they disclosed after the fact that bagging the grass would cost an additional $10 (we assumed bagging the grass would be a given). Our lawn actually looked better prior to these people coming in to cut it. If I could rate them fewer stars I would. Teno (who I very much find to be a great agent) was very professional over the phone and did not charge us for our service. However, given the actual quality of the work, we couldn't recommend to anybody.

This lack of responsiveness is not only frustrating but also entirely unacceptable for a company that prides itself on customer satisfaction as you so clearly (mis-)state as your guiding philosophy on your opening webpage. While we do appreciate your effort to fix our back retaining wall, that only came after four pleading requests, and then that work was done very last minute--only 48 hours in fact before our HOA deadline requirement to have the repairs done. Such conduct as you have shown us these last eleven weeks is not only disrespectful but also undermines the trust and confidence we have in your company. Further, I am unaware of any action we may have engaged in with you or business issue you have with us to deserve such treatment. 6 weeks ago 7/14/20 we paid $433 to have this tree trimmed because large branches kept breaking and…read morefalling. One branch had missed someone by 1 minute. We made it clear this is why we needed it taken care of. My husband had been unemployed 4 months at this time and we still felt like this money needed to be spent to make the tree safer. After they left I didn't feel they did a good job but chose not to complain because they came recommended. But my family member was upset that they recommended someone we weren't happy with. So he complained. And the project manager came out and said, "I'm sure it was a shock for Amanda when she first saw the tree because it had not been trimmed in a long time. The tree has open crevices and to prolong the life and health of the tree, we had to remove the excess weight on the limbs. I did see some cuts that look weird, unfortunately, they had to be made without removing really large limbs and losing too much of the tree." I wasn't unhappy because they cut too much. I was unhappy because they did not cut enough. It was not thinned out like it should have been. Then last night this branch breaks. I thought "excess weight" had been removed? So I email. And I get this response: "Hi Amanda, I personally went out and looked at your tree after the work was completed. The tree was trimmed properly. When trimming a tree, you can only remove up to a certain percentage of the tree at one time without killing the tree. With all of the strong winds and storms we have had, since your tree was trimmed, no amount of trimming could have prevented damage. If you would like for us to come out and remove the broken limb, it would be our minimum charge of $150 + tax." Why would I pay an additional $150? Which is it? You had to remove excess weight on the limbs or we can only remove up to a certain percentage so excess weight wasn't removed? Tree Fella/Dallas Tree Pros who we hired/who we paid will not be getting another dime of our money.
