Three strikes and you are out. Three shady things have happened here in three years. 1. 2020. Bought gas here and ended up getting fraudulent charges all the way in Texas for $556.00. Thank goodness the bank cleared them, I tried calling and calling the station- no response. I paid by card inside and I am always very careful to inspect outside when I put gas and use the most remote out-of-view station available. So I'm convinced it was staff and an inside job. 2. I pre-paid for gas inside again. Giving them a second chance in 2021 and as I'm inside a woman pulls up to the pump and starts putting the gas I paid for in her truck, FYI red kia type of truck with a very specific black swirling sun sticker in the middle of the back window. When I realized what was happening, she jumped in her vehicle and took off. Not the stations fault but the person working there couldn't of cared less. 3. 2023, extremely low on gas, go there and put 20 so I could go elsewhere easily and fill up. Went there unwillingly and low and behold, a forty dollar charge on my Applepay. Called the owner this time who said it was normal for the bank to do this and to wait. I did and one week later it was returned. Why not use a better system!?? Anyhow, this Shell is super stressful and problematic, and I'm not the only one!!! Rip-off scam car wash. No where does it say the car wash expires yet if you don't get the car wash done by a certain time or your ticket will no longer work. No refund given either. What a crock. If it said that ANYWHERE I would understand. There is a random date printed on the ticket but one has to know that the date is the expiry date even though the word "expiration" isn't written anywhere. read more

Avoid. This place is run down and I would not recommend it. The pump handle didn't have a clamp to keep the pump on so I had to hold it. It wouldn't be so bad if the nozzle wasn't filthy. To be honest the gas price is not the best in the area, but the car wash and the MECHANIC SHOP IS THE BEST. I live in the West Los Angeles Area, but if I have any issues with my car, even if I have to tow the vehicle, I will take it to Sam in M&J Mechanic Shop, which is located in the Shell Gas Station. He is a honest mechanic that is almost impossible to find. I have read the other reviews as well, but when I paid for the gas and the Car wash together, It was 20 Cents cheaper per gallon. Anyways, the reason I put this review is more to encourage people to come to Sam and his Mechanic shop and be treated well, rather than going to Dealerships and other mechanic shops that are not completely honest. As an example, I took my car to Liberty Tires because I made a mistake and put Diesel instead of Gas in my car. They told me $2000 and no Guarantees, but Sam did for me for only $500. I always put gas in this gas station and today Feb.22, 2019 at around 4:45 PM, I went again to put gas and car wash "THE WORKS" as always for extra $8. We went and did the car wash with my autistic daughter because she's been asking for it badly. We always get "THE WORKS" because it has rainbow colors in the soap with 4-5 colors. When it's time to soap the car I noticed there's only 1 color in the soap which is green. I've told the attendant about it and he asked one of the helper to check it out to see if there's soap in them. The helper said "there's still plenty in the soap container". The gas attendant gave me another car wash code to do a test again. And I hesitated because I know it'll be the same thing over again. I still went to do it anyways because maybe he did something to the car wash portal and maybe it's clogged and he just did something to the soap container. The helper went with us to the car wash and he didn't even stayed to see and watch to see how many cooors will come out for the car wash. As soon as he sees there's something coming out of the soap container he walked away and didn't wait to see if there will be rainbow colors that's gonna come out of the soap container because like said "THE WORKS" is the highest car wash which would spit out rainbow colors 4 colors soap. I went inside again of the gas station and explained to them that it's the same thing. There's only green color soap that came out and didn't clean my car that good! The helper was rude and saying "We gave you already two car wash and said do you want another car wash or maybe you just wanted to get your money back"? Of course I will be upset because my time was wasted, I have my daughter with me who has having behavior because of the car wash! All I wanted for them to give at least $2 off from that $8 because it wasn't a full good car wash that I selected from the pump. They should've apologized in the beginning and could've told me that we are going to look at it and fix it for future people who's willing to have a good car wash specially if they selected "THE WORKS". They didn't compromise and gave me option onto what kind of settlement that we can agree on? At least let the customers know that their "THE WORKS" car wash is not working properly! And for that incident, I will never go back to that gas station anymore even when it is near my home. NOT A GOOD SERVICE ATTENDANTS! I drove my car in to get it washed at approximately 12:30pm to 1:00pm on Wednesday, August 9th, 2017, and I have a recently amputated leg, so getting in and out of my car is a hassle, and you have to go inside to purchase a car wash code. So I pulled in front and got the mechanic on duty's attention (unfortunately, I didn't get his name). He came over to my car, and I explained my situation and asked if he could go inside and get it for me. He looked like he was busy doing other things, but he gladly helped me out, asking me which wash I wanted to purchase, and when he came back out, he asked if there was anything else he could help me with. I said no thank you, and thanked him for his assistance. He said "no problem! If there's anything else I can help you with, just let me know!". Very friendly, and very helpful! He made my day a lot easier! It's the little things like this, that will have me returning to this gas station, over the other ones in the neighborhood! Thank you very much! read more
