Worst worst worst place. Try any other tire place. Cant get into all the details of how terrible this place is but they are bogus. Slow Rude costumer service. Brought a tire back under their road hazard warranty. They gave me a new tire, told me it would cost $ 36.00. Came to get it they said it was $ 200.00+. I showed them the receipt from another Mountain View tire for the tire they were replacing which clearly stated the road hazard warranty had been purchased, they eyed me suspiciously, called the branch I got the tire from made me wait till they received email confirmation from that branch that my claim was legit, then they charged me $ 79.00. I said the guy I spoke to yesterday told me $ 36.00. He said $ 79.00 = 36.00 + 33.00 valve stem and balance. I have two remaining tires on the car under their warranty once they are done I will never go back. Absolutely horrible place. Save yourself the misery buy your tires anywhere else. read more

First of all I'll like to let people know to not call this establishment. They put you on "hold" for 20 minutes or until you hang up. So after showing up in person to get my tire Patched they said I needed to leave it for the day. I didn't know they had to take my engine apart before Patching up my tire. I called to request information on an specific set of tires. The person on the phone was prompt at pushing for me to make an appointment. After a couple of attempts at this, I was finally able to make him understand that I rather not make an appointment unless it was confirmed that the tires were in stock at the store. He said he would have some one call me back to let me know and I never received a call back at all. I came to Mountain View Tire after I got my tires rotated and they recommended a patch for a small hole in my tire. When they attempted to remove the wheel, they told me the lug nuts were cross-threaded and quoted me $500 to replace them. They also suggested I go back to the shop that rotated my tires. When I returned to the rotation shop, they showed me video and audio proving the lug nuts were installed correctly and not cross-threaded when I left. They also pointed out that one of the lug nuts had been left completely loose, meaning I had been driving in unsafe conditions after my visit to Mountain View. It's clear the cross-threading happened when Mountain View tried to remove the wheel. When I brought this up and asked if they could take responsibility or work with me on the cost, they refused. I ultimately had to go elsewhere to fix a problem they caused. Driving away from a tire shop with loose lug nuts and then being told to pay hundreds of dollars to fix damage they created is unacceptable. I would not recommend this location based on their lack of accountability and disregard for customer safety. read more

I came into Mountain View Tires to replace my brake pads since I have a lifetime warranty. The associate helping me had to call the manager (Vince/Vance) to assist with the warranty.When the manager came out the first thing he said was, " Ugh, it's a platinum member, " followed by saying he "really hated that promotion." I found that comment unnecessary, rude, and unprofessional, especially said out loud in front of a customer. Regardless of personal opinions about a promotion, it shouldn't be taken out on the customer. I came to get my tire patched on January 1. Clearly it's not the first place I'd want to be on the first of the year. I was told a patch was not an option in my case. Fine. That wasn't the problem. The problem was the way we were treated. An employee named Franco turned a simple question into a nightmare. While my husband and I were calmly asking about our options, Franco began raising his voice, yelling, and telling us we were "trespassing." We were standing there with our two kids, who were visibly confused and scared as this grown man created a scene out of nowhere. It got even more bizarre when Franco claimed to be the manager Razmik--which felt like straight-up impersonation and made the whole situation feel like a mockery. He charged toward us while shouting and threatened to call the police, all while we were trying to keep things respectful and de-escalate. He also refused to give his real name when asked. This was not a misunderstanding. This was belligerent, unprofessional, and intimidating behavior from someone who should never be dealing with the public. If a customer asking a question triggers you to the point where you start yelling and physically advancing on a family, that's not just a training issue--that's a personal issue. Good luck in life, Franco. And good luck to Mountain View employing someone who represents their business this way. We will never be back, and I strongly suggest families steer clear. read more

I purchased a Groupon - the Groupon says no appointment needed, but I drove 40 minutes here just to be turned away. I made an appointment and came again, just to be told the Groupon I purchased would not work because my car needs full synthetic and not synthetic blend. I've been doing synthetic blend with Valvoline for the past 6 years I've had the car. He said I would need to purchase the full synthetic option, which was more than double the synthetic blend option. I later contacted Hyundai to verify, and they told me synthetic blend is just fine for my vehicle. I don't appreciate being lied to. read more

The first time I went to Mountain View, I was satisfied-- they repaired a nail in my tire for free, even though the guy on the phone told me it was going to cost $35.00. Big difference, but I was grateful. Second time around, less than a year later, a rude guy with glasses at the front desk wants to charge me $45.00. Moreover, he tells me he's gonna charge me for a FLAT REPAIR when this was a SMALL NAIL. When I brought up last time's already expensive quote, he tells me prices have gone up. Thankfully, I have two wits about me-- $45.00 for a nail repair? Total money grab. So I made my way over to American Tire Stores on Glendale Avenue, and they fixed it for FREE. Liars, greedy, and disrespectful. I walked into this shop after recently moving here from Reseda, and this spot is one block away from my new location. I recently purchased a Saab 9-3 2007 from a friend and had my cousin do a pre-purchase inspection on it, since he's a well-known mechanic in Reseda that services European cars. My brakes were making loud screeching sounds, and my cousin told me that since he resurfaced the rotors already for me all I needed were different brake pads since the ones I had on were metallic which is known to make noise. Since it was a simple job he told me any shop can change the pads, since he was busy and his shop was over 40 min away. Mind you I literally aligned the car RIGHT before I took it here and got new tires so I'm pretty sure I know how straight it drives. I go into the shop and am greeted by Gary. I tell him I just bought this car and it makes loud screeching noises, and I needed some pads. He asked me, "does it pull to the right or make any vibrations when you depress the brake pedal?" I tell him no, but he can go ahead and do a brake inspection if I needed anything else. I also tell him that I needed new lug nuts, and if I can get them here. He says "honestly it's cheaper to get them yourself," which I appreciated. My lug bolts were rusted, so I figured we can get everything done in one shot. He takes my car on the lift and I walk into the front office. I hear from within the office guys joking in the bay saying "he wanted to change the lug nuts! ha!" as if my request was pretty idiotic and non-sensical. Okay. After the 'inspection,' Gary tells me that my rotors were cracked and I needed new ones. He then proceeds to tell me that they have a $200 promotion going on and that $200 can go towards services like an air filter and an alignment since my car pulls to the right. I thought that was funny since I literally just got the alignment right before I brought the car to him and it DEFINITELY doesn't pull right. But Gary says "it's free anyway." I ask Gary, "I thought I just needed pads since it was just making squeaking noises," but Wise old Gary stated that I "didn't need them," and if I did, he would tell me, but is trying to save me money. I appreciated that. He goes in and gives me the breakdown of what needs to be done, and he puts BOTH the rotors and brake pads needed to be replaced. I thought I didn't need brake pads? You think I can't read an estimate Gary? You think I don't know what a cracked rotor looks like? My "quote" was $1452.62 and he even said "we guarantee our work, bro" as if this was a "homie hookup." I was actually shocked, because I kept quiet until then, and told him I didn't expect it to be so much and wanted a second opinion. He said "but we guarantee our work bro." I decided to take my car to my cousins shop and he SHOWED me that he resurfaced the rotors and there were no cracks, and that again, I just needed brake pads because the ones I had were metallic. I was waiting while work was being done on my car. Someone came in asking for an alignment for their car after they bought new tires from somewhere else. After hearing the story, the Mountain View guys told the potential customer that the alignment wouldn't fix the problem and he should go back and get the new tires rebalanced. Mountain View guys could've just let him pay for an alignment he didn't need but they acted with integrity and saved the guy time and money. read more

Also with department of consumer affairs, Groupon's are involved with false advertisement and promoting fake promotions leading costumers to find out that there oil is not supported which I never had an issue where they don't have oil for a common honda civic. Unsafe business practices and unregulated safety policys here are also been conducted. BUYER BEWARE: I bought tires here at 113k miles and returned to have them rotated at 118k miles as instructed. When I returned to have them rotated a 2nd time at 124k miles they informed me that I had 2x severely damaged lug nuts due to whoever had last rotated my tires. When I told them it was them who had last rotated my tires at 118k miles they denied having done it and could find no record of me being there at 118k miles. They looked up the carfax and blamed it on an oil change that I had where my lug nuts were never touched. They refused to accept any responsibility for their mistakes and inemptude. Vincent Benner the manager denied repeatedly that I had ever been there. They damaged my vehicle and intentionally never entered that I was there in order to cover up for themselves. I came here as my car ran over a screw (ugh) eventhough the TPM does not show me that the it has a leak, I'd rather be safe than sorry, I don't like driving on compromised tires. They told me to come in and squeezed me in their busy schedule, although I have to wait at least a couple hours which isn't that bad as Target is just right across the street (actually it's bad as I spent more than what the tire repair costs..I should've just sat there and watch a movie on my phone lol) Anyway, If you happen to have any tire issues, I highly recommend these folks! i think this place is under staffed and if i owned this location id be worried a bit. Called a few times no one answered, then walked in two separate times about week apart and they arent able to even look at a tire leak and provide some help or guidance. I have been going here for years. Never had an issue. Had tire changed and oil changed. But the last time 10/3/24. For my oil change. I went through the worst experience that I will not be returning. After the oil change I drove it for a few days with no issue but I began to smell a burning smell that got incredibly bad. I had to stop at an auto shop on my way home from work to have it checked. I was then told and shown that the oil cap was not placed properly that got loose and spilled all the oil Everywhere inside my hood. . I was to shocked and felt horrible. I'm lucky it didn't mess up my engine since I had now been driving with no oil. Mountain View were the last ones and only ones to touch that. I had to pay for a new oil change. The first time I came in they told me they were booked and did not have any appointments for three days. I came the first available time they informed me. I got a nail on my tire and I was able to get it fixed with no problem at Mountain View tire and auto service with no problem /hassle. I was worried if they ever have a correct tire size on my car and luckily they have it and I was sooo happy since I worked night with no sleep plus tired. They are also soo close at my workplace and it's A plus to me. I don't live around the area and luckily one of the nurses mentioned this place and I am glad I gave them a call the moment I clocked out from work. It took them an hour or so to fixed the tire and have me on my merry way. The only thing I don't like is the parking space. It is a small parking lot. I don't ding them for it.
