I would not recommend M&M Appliances based on my recent experience. We have a high-end GE Monogram built-in refrigerator that stopped working. M&M quoted us approximately $2,500 to replace multiple boards and service the refrigerator. They also told us there would be essentially no warranty on the electronics other than a short company warranty. After getting a second opinion from another appliance repair company, we were told that only one board appeared to need replacement, with an estimated cost of about $847 plus labor, which was far more reasonable. What was especially concerning was that the second technician noted that one of the original boards had apparently been removed from our refrigerator without that being clearly communicated to us beforehand. Based on our experience, the original diagnosis and pricing from M&M seemed excessive and not transparent. I would strongly encourage anyone with a higher-end appliance, especially a built-in refrigerator, to get a second opinion before agreeing to expensive repairs. read more

Had a 2.5 year old refrigerator stop working, checked with M&M about repairing it, they said they would get back to me in 24 hours to make the repair. They brought the parts, including a compressor the next day and got the refrig back operating . Repairs include a years warranty too. They pulled it out of the wall cabinetry, did a compressor swap, and reinstalled it in about 4 to 5 hours total. Thanks Guys Rick H read more

Very disappointed in the service and would not recommend. I initially called on Wednesday about my fridge and freezer not cooling properly. They sent out a technician within a few hours of the call. The technician fixed a leak and refilled the Freon, I spoke with Juan that explained the cost and told me this would fix it for a year, maybe more, all in all $550 repair. The next morning I noticed ice packs in my freezer were not frozen. I called the office again to let them know and they assured me the technician would call me right back and they would be back out that day. By Friday I had not received a phone call and no one had been out so I called again they assured me the technician would call and they would be out that day. Juan called a few hours later apologized and explained my compressor would need to be replaced for $1300 but they would deduct the cost I had already spent. I asked if they had any used refrigerators there they had already done this with and he said yes they are $1800. He told me he could be by between 1-2pm that day, never showed up or called. We lost everything in our fridge and freezer over the holiday weekend. read more

I wouldn't use this company ever again. My dryer wasn't heating. I looked up what a new heating element would run and decided to have the dryer worked on since it was 1 yr old. My bill was $787!! Refrigerator/freezer compressor was going out so we had moved everything to different ice chests. Other repair companies wanted to set us up for a service call in a week, but M&M owner Juan Sanchez and a helper (Carlos) were able to come out that same morning, with parts, and replaced the compressor and filter and added a surge protector in two hours. It was not cheap but saved me valuable time and basically saved the expense of buying a new fridge, delivery, and set-up, and all with a one-year warranty! We were very pleased with the quick response, great service, and friendly professionalism of this company. Highly recommended! read more

Twice (I forgot the first time!) I have called this service company that claims they work on all makes of appliances to repair an appliance in my home. Both times, after things have been taken partially apart, I've been told they can't work on that specific brand of appliance for one reason or another. Apologies are offered and accepted then I heard the spiel, "Well I'm going to have to charge you for a service call - of $95!!! Both times I've graciously paid it then stewed after the repair guy left followed by a phone call to the company inquiring as to why they took the service call when they're not authorized to work on such and such appliance then charge a service fee, to be told "that was the owner that took the call"! Take it from me, DON'T USE THIS REPAIR SERVICE COMPANY FOR YOUR APPLIANCES!!!! read more

Our air conditioner had stopped cooling. The fan was blowing but just regular air came out. We called M & M appliance. We got in pretty quick. Juan came over and gave a quick diagnosis. Our unit was back in the 90's....yes very old. We asked for the best pocketbook friendly route. He suggested a refurbished unit. He did his magic and found us the perfect unit. Beware!!! I was scammed as previous customers. When I purchased my front load washer and dryer in 2010, they were installed on two boards (2" x 9" x 54") one for the front leveling legs and one for the back leveling legs so that the pedestal drawer could be opened. My front load washing machine had gotten out of balance; the left rear leveling leg had moved off the board it was sitting on. This was the first time I had this occur. 2/22/21 @ 9 am I contacted M & M Appliances and spoke with Erica who was very friendly. They were not able to come out that day and I was leaving town the next morning so I scheduled an appointment for Monday, 3/1/21 @ 8:30 am. They arrived around 9:30 am. Tony was very friendly. After examining the problem, he told me he had to go purchase some blocks to put the appliances on. He completed the job within an hour + few minutes. He charged me $427.55! I was shocked!!! I thought it would be the $95 service charge plus whatever he bought which was wooden shims to level the boards. He told me he doesn't charge by the hour (he couldn't make a living doing it by the hour), but by the job. I live 1 block from Lowes, wooden shims $1.58 for a package of 8. In fact, I had some he could have used if I knew that's the "parts" he was going to purchase. He told me he had to "rebuild the base" which was moving the front board 1" to the left which caused the units not to be centered under the overhead cabinets. He told me he could give me a $100 discount if I had him come back within the week to clean out my dryer lint vent. When I questioned him exactly what that would be, he told he would remove the dryer and take it outside to clean the lint vent. He wouldn't be able to give me an estimate until he had it apart and might find the heating element or other parts needed to be replaced. I told him that I had had no problems with the heating element and I could not afford to spend a $1,000 a week for washer and dryer repairs which I had no problems. He had no problem taking my money and told me to stay warm and have a nice day. I was totally in shock! Never have I had any service/repair person take advantage of me as he did. In the future, I will not be using him and will be letting all friends and acquaintances know to beware. read more

M&M Appliances are amazing! My old washer broke months ago, and I've been having to go to the laundromat. I finally got another (used) washer, but it filled and then died. My grandson and I were trying to dip the water out when Mr. Sanchez arrived. Turns out the "new" washer needed a new water pump, but my old one just had a broken lid switch. Mr. Sanchez and his assistant emptied the water out of the machine in the house, moved it out, fixed my original one, brought it in and connected it, and got it going for me, and all at about half of what he should've charged me! After they left I discovered a bad dripping noise coming from behind the washer so I called Mr. Sanchez, and he and his helper came back and discovered it was my old water faucet connection behind the washer. They were able to tighten it up and get rid of the drip for me, and charged me nothing for the return visit and the additional work! Mr. Sanchez is a caring, godly man, and there are no words to describe what a gift he was in my life today! I'm handicapped and live on a very small fixed income, and this was a huge blessing and a fantastic early Christmas present! read more

We called all over town to get a quote to fix our double oven. A message was left, the owner called right back and 15 minutes later was at our house to repair the oven. He was very knowledgeable and personal; he saved us from either having to spend $1500.00 for a new oven (right before the holidays) or to wait until our home warranty company found a repair shop, parts, and complete the claim. This company caused my washer to flood my house and damage my hardwood floors by not putting the hose back in the drain after moving it. They were obviously the cause of it since the washer had not been moved by anyone but them and they refused to take responsibility for it. They are not a reputable or honest company. read more

They asked questions before coming about our problem and came prepared to fix it on the same day. The owner was friendly and knowledgeable. These people are by far the most unprofessional people I have dealt with in an extremely long time. Let me just start by saying my appointment was at 10 and they didn't show up until 1. Once they were there, they did not tell me what was wrong with my washer, they proceeded to fix it. Once the washer was fixed, they charged me $427 (which is more than the price of a brand new washer). After I paid him, he wrote me a receipt which showed that all he did was replace a water valve. My boyfriend contacted the manager of M&M who admitted to pulling a fast one on me and promised a refund of $232. We have made multiple attempts to collect this money to no avail. My mom, who is an elderly woman, called M&M to come and repair her dryer. They sent 2 men to a one man job, in which, one of them stayed in the restroom the whole time he was there, while the other did the work. They were not even there an hour and charged my mom $405. Only $66 of the invoice were for the part which was replaced. I would not reccommend this company to anyone, as they took full advantage of an elderly person. When my husband called to dispute the bill, they stated that my mom had already signed the ticket so she was stuck with the bill!! read more

They give free estimates if you use them and this is the second time I had the pleasure of using them. They fixed my dryer 10 years ago.. Very friendly very fast. The first time we used this company, they were on time and fixed our dishwasher quickly and for a reasonable amount. When our dishwasher developed a new problem, we called them again. This time our appointment was for 10:00 AM and they finally showed up at 3:45 PM after I called them to see why they didn't show up. They originally quoted a price of $345 to repair the dishwasher but at the end of the repair, they had charged $395 to fix the original problem and another $150 to replace the airgap which I really don't think needed replacing PLUS A $29 FEE FOR USING A CREDIT CARD!!!. We could have bought a new good-quality dishwasher for that amount. We will not be using this company again. read more

Stay away from this company!!! Sanchez, owner/operator, is a fraud and comes off as someone who is honest and is there to fix your problems, but it's truly a front. He charged me $1,600 dollars for 2-3 parts and labor, even though I helped him do some of that labor. Afterwards, the refrigerator was in worse shape than it was to begin with and now no longer works at all. Very unprofessional! Should of know when he gave me a receipt on a yellow piece of paper and refused to return my phone calls and honor his "so called warranty"!! Call anyone else! Save yourself the headache!
