I would not recommend this company to anyone. We had Ryan Keller come out to give us an estimate, and he did nothing to get the process started. He expected the customer to handle all the legwork with the insurance and showed no initiative to help. On top of that, it took him forever to get back in touch with us. I had a very disappointing and frankly unsettling experience with M&M Home Remodeling Services. Last summer, shortly after purchasing my home, I contacted them to repair or replace a few small sections of vinyl siding that had come loose. I got four quotes from reputable local companies. M&M was the second to arrive, and by far the most extreme in their approach. What followed was a high-pressure inspection where they picked apart nearly every aspect of my siding, claiming shoddy workmanship--except for the areas I had specifically asked about, like the siding around my windows, which they conveniently said looked fine. The whole visit felt incredibly intimidating and performative. Then came the scare tactics: they told me that unless I replaced both the siding (and the roof!), my house "wouldn't survive the winter." They conveniently offered me 0% financing for the job. It was a textbook fear-based sales pitch--manipulative and predatory. Not sixty seconds after they left, another siding company came to provide a quote. They assured me the issues M&M identified were either exaggerated or completely fabricated. Without me prompting, they even warned me that M&M was notorious for using this kind of approach. I went with a different, more trustworthy company with a service area spanning three counties--they fixed the issue quickly, affordably, and professionally. It's now spring, and (shocker) my house is completely fine. M&M's lack of professionalism and reliance on scare tactics is deeply concerning. I left the interaction wondering what would've happened if I'd been a senior, or someone less familiar with home repairs. I have zero doubt they pull this same move on vulnerable homeowners. Their behavior was unprofessional, immature, and completely unbecoming of a company operating at this scale. If anyone from management happens to read this, I highly recommend shadowing your Portage, Indiana crew. You may not like what you see. Avoid. read more

We had a picture window with sliders replaced by them. We were shocked at the poor quality of the window. We have beautiful windows in our home, and they replaced this one with a window that looked like it was made for a modular. We knew there would be issues with the quality of the window. Sure enough, cold weather hit, we heard an odd noise. Next day we saw a crack in the center section of the window. read more

Several reasons why I'm giving 1 star and will never use or recommend anyone using this company again. First issue I had was during the tear off in the middle of winter they took off half of the houses decking on a Friday and only redecked half of what they took off leaving the house wide open in the middle of a snowstorm and left it like that till Monday. Literally had to shovel snow out of the house! Then due to poor installation I had sofit blow off the first time the wind picked up and had siding popping out. Sure they came and fixed it but clearly poor installation and only time will tell what else was halfway installed. Then when they came to install the gutters I came to inspect what they did and my house still didn't have gutters. They litterly put my gutters on the wrong house! I had a window bust out and they forgot about me so after a few months I call and ask what the deal is and they hadn't even ordered the window! Another month passes and inget a call they are coming to fix the window! Yay finally! Nope they ordered the wrong one so im still waiting but sware it's coming at the end of next week so we will see about that. During installation of the siding they hit an electrical wire so I had to pay an electrician to come and fix yet another problem m&m created. Now for the big one. Chris Rossetti was the one that gave me my quote and was setting up the project. He mentioned his office really needed this job. We'll halfway through the project they closed the Indianapolis office and ever since then it's been an absolute joke! Now when we set up the finance portion of the project I told him I wanted to push this back to insure I would have enough time to get the loan paid for and he insured me the loan wouldn't start until the project was completed and we ordered siding that was 3 months from being in stock so I agreed that would give me enough time to make sure I pay the loan off before the interest accrued. We'll I get an email stating my promotion period was up and we are 5 months from when I thought I had to have them paid off but Chris straight up lied to get one last payday before they closed his underperforming office down at my expense. I should have went with moss cause m&m has been an joke ever since I signed off on the work. Do not use this company way better options out there. read more

My elderly mother in law had her flat roof replaced. The original quote was around $45,000- at the end of the job she paid close to $65,000. They damaged an interior ceiling and they "do not work on interior" so they will not fix the damaged ceiling. They were great when we were starting out and now that the roof is done and they are paid, they are extremely difficult to work with and to get ahold of. The roof is still leaking. They blamed the leaking on condensation and the furnace. We have now paid to have 2 furnace companies come and neither have found anything that could create that much condensation. BEWARE. Do not give this company your money. Once they think the job is done, they are done with you. We have damaged ceilings to fix, a couch to replace that was covered in water and a leaking roof - all of that cost us $65,000. read more

I highly recommend M&M...if you have problems with your roof due too weather. a small water ring appeared on my bedroom ceiling shortly after the last major snowstorm. I had one other company out prior to M&M visit. I was told I had slight damage near and or around my roof vent and it would cost approximately $700 to fix. I almost hired the company to get it done, but it didn't sit right with me on what he needed to do too make the repair. I decided to wait for M&M review of my roof...you guessed it; no visible damage. The high winds blew snow through a roof vent. per Nathan the M&M consultant :-( no roof issues. Snow blew in through the vent on the roof and it may not happen again; if so...the vent can be changed to a different type vent. Otherwise, my roof has a long life yet. Thanks M&M for your honesty. Need some outside trim work done at our house. Nathan Napier came out on June 15, 2020 to look at the job. He suggested that this was a job for one of his sub-contractors that provided John Hardy materials and he would have that sub-contractor contact us. Well........here it is 6 months later and the sub-contractor never contacted us, nor did M&M follow up to see if we ever got an estimate. I had Nathan out today to look at our gutters and check the roof for a weird buzzing sound. He found that the wind had knocked out one of the tacks that held the piece in place. He put a knew one in. He also did a full walk around on our roof and told us that the roof and gutters are in great shape. I should probably give them a call in about 5 years to reevaluate it. He did have some concern about a point that we had fixed before and let them know if we have an issues with that spot, but he was totally ethical, honest, and truthful. I would recommend them strongly. He even refuse any payment for the little fix he did. I thought that was outstanding. I was very very impressed. read more

My wife and I have had the opportunity to work with M&M construction twice in the last 9 months. Once at our house in Dyer, and just today, at the town house we moved to in Crown Point where we moved September, 2018. I found the sales rep, Pete Sorci, very informative and knowledgeable. We had the old roof stripped and replaced. He explained how the job would progress and what we could expect along the way. There is a job site supervisor who makes sure things are progressing according to plan. We also had an attic exhaust fan installed, soffats replaced, and gutters installed. I specifically requested that the gutters be installed so that the water would flow at the proper rate. I explained this to Mr Sorci, and he made a note to tell the job supervisor. (We did the whole roof about 27 years ago and the gutters always seemed to flow slowly, which made for many gutter clean outs!) Pete explained what we needed for adequate ventilation in the attic. As promised, the work was done promptly, all of the waste from the roof tear-off was collected, and the cost was very competitive as we were told it would be. We had prices from Sear's Home Repairs, a company whose name I can't recall - had a very pricey ($75,000) one whose name I don't recall and 2 other local contractors. M&M also has a finance - company through which they can arrange financing. Arrangements were handled over the period of several weeks, while we checked out other offers. Each time we met with Mr Sorci, he made notes on his pad computer. He was always prompt and energetic whenever we got together. They took care of the needed permits. In Crown Point, we had a particularly long downspout that needed replacement . They did it Thursday between the rain storms. Again, we are very satisfied. Their work was efficient, complete and they left no mess. I will use them again. I feel confident that if we have another building issue, M&M will be my first call! read more

M&M has done our roof and windows in the past. Recently we had then out to install new gutters. We have always found the service to be great. Our salesman was friendly and made sure our requests on the work order were met. The crew was efficient and knowledgeable, the roof was done in one day and looks great. Some of the other companies never followed with us after our estimate requests but that was not the case with M&M. We are looking to having new siding done next and look forward to working with M&M and our sales rep Nathan again. Good job! read more

I contacted M&M in April and scheduled an appointment for a roofing estimate. The roof on my home had wind damage due to various storms we've experienced over the last few months. My appointment was scheduled for April 15, 2016 between 10:00am-12:00pm. On the morning of April 15th, I received a call from the M&M sales representative who was going to perform the estimate. He stated he was running a few minutes late. I responded saying that it wasn't a problem at all. I wasn't at home when the sale representatives' arrived but, my eldest sister who is co-owner of the property, was present. My sister saw the M&M vehicle pull in front of the house and she headed outside to the front porch to make the rep aware, in case of any confusion, that he was at the correct address. She stood on the porch for a few minutes but didn't see the sales rep exit the vehicle so she headed back inside the house but left the front door open. About 10-15 minutes went by and my sister went back outside only to find the M&M vehicle gone. She explained to me what happened and I assumed that the sales rep maybe did everything from outside and would contact me later via phone or email. Even though I assumed this, I later thought how unprofessional it was of the rep to not at least stop to speak, even briefly, with the property owner or someone at the residence. Nevertheless, I waited a week for some type of feedback. I never received feedback so I finally called to inquire about the estimate only to be totally surprised at the response. The lady that answered the phone initially stated that I had cancelled the appointment which I quickly disagreed with and began to tell her what happened that day. She then transferred me to another department. I explained to this particular lady what happened and she put me on a brief hold. When she came back on the line she stated, "We decided not to bid on the job." I excused myself and asked her to repeat and explain. The lady rudely stated, "We don't bid on every job that we're asked to look at and we decided not to bid on yours." I asked if she was sure this was normal procedure and she stated yes it is. I was left speechless and floored at that point. She then began to pass blame on me stating that I wasn't present at the time of rep's arrival and I was told to be present. This information was incorrect. At the time I scheduled the appointment, I was told that 'someone' must be present. So not only was 'someone' present, the co-owner who lives at the residence was present! The lady on the phone just stated "Oh ok" and said nothing else so I ended the call. This was definitely the poorest customer service I've ever experienced. Nothing was done correctly from the sales rep who came to the house for the appointment but possibly never exited his vehicle, to the the lady on the phone who should've tried to resolve the issue and answer the questions I had but failed miserably. Furthermore, what type of company would rudely and falsely blame a potential customer for not following instructions and use that as an excuse for not rendering services when they have no facts on ownership of the property. As a favor to me, my sister called off work that particular day to make certain 'someone' was present at the house. Obviously, M&M could care less about the inconvenience of potential customers' schedules. They will set an appointment and have you sit and wait for them to arrive but will leave without uttering a word and that's their right! Wow!! Absolutely horrible customer service!!!! read more
