I stopped by this Ralphs over the weekend to look if they had sea bass here. I came in the early morning and found parking just fine. The parking lot here isn't that big so it might be hard to find a spot later in the day. They didn't have sea bass here so I just went to the produce area to get some lime and lemon. They had a bunch of balloons and flowers for Valentine which I saw a lot of people getting. I used the self checkout and didn't have any issues. read more

Went to get groceries tonight and not only was the store understaffed, but when I went to use the self-checkout as the one line open stretched down an aisle, but Lenny got into my face to complain about how many items I was self-checking out with. There was no signage limiting the number of items I could check out with. She claimed the system would shut off after 15 items - it didn't - so not only is she bad at her job, she's also apparently a liar. If you don't want people in the self-checkout line, have more than one human checking people out. read more

Cashier Jennifer G was wrong and disappointing. I tried putting in my rewards number she advised i dont need to. When i got my receipt back, it said i could have earned 16 points. I learned my lesson- the staff at this location is misinformed. They can improve by educating their staff. read more

Our little boutique Ralphs. At the corner of Magnolia Blvd & Coldwater Canyon, behind the 76 gas station resides this local market, with great staff, streamline layout and plenty on the shelves and behind the cold doors. There's self checkout on the east side of store, the closest to Coldwater Canyon. And a handful of registers, a lot of which are open throughout the day. Good produce and a fair amount of things you need. Manager and staff are super friendly. The parking lot is surprisingly spacious and easier to navigate than larger locations, something I've come to appreciate a lot. Often find myself at this one to grab a few essentials and/or stock up on items before or after a big event like a Celebration of Life recently, birthday party, holiday or summer event. Great selection of craft, domestic and imported beer. Sometimes I can't find a few of the plant-based items I get at large Ralphs, but do find plenty and am grateful for the manager specials, sales and discounts. read more

The seafood station NEVER has anyone to assist you. You literally have to chase employees around to get any type of service and when asked to exchange money for quarters at the register, they told me it was not allowed but also do it at self checkout. I'm sorry but that literally doesn't make sense. Either you can give quarters (which you have done before) or you don't. read more

Melinda who works at this location always greets me with a smile and asks how I'm doing. She goes out of her way to make sure I have everything I need. It's a small older store that could use a renovation, but I like how friendly her and the rest of the staff are and how tidy and convenient this location is. Promote Melinda to a management position! This is just a review about the bakery. We ordered a cake a week ago we got the confirmation number and everything. Today is pick up day we didn't get any text saying it's ready so we called. We talked to 3 different people and kept getting tossed around we told them we have the confirmation number they said it's pointless they can't use that so we gave our names phone numbers and told them again we can give you the confirmation number they said no and could find any order for a birthday cake finally after they asked what we had written on it they found and it and said it was ready for pick up. I really think they need to have a more organized system for checking on orders. read more

Just like the one on Burbank Blvd/Van Nuys Blvd, this one has the extremely irritating policy of closing before posted time. At least this one is 5 minutes versus 15 minutes at the Burbank location. Ralphs - close at the damn time you're supposed to close. If not, put up a damn sign that says you close ___ minutes before the posted time. Such a simple concept to stick to your business hours, but obviously not. I'd happily only go to Pavilions/Whole Foods/Trader Joe's if it weren't for them closing early. I parked exactly at 12:54am and ran up to the entrance. New security guard (seems like they can't keep one for long) - this was a black dude with dreads, AirPods on, and scrolling on his phone with his back towards the entrance. He turns around when I walk up, makes a swiping throat "no" motion, then back to his doom scrolling. I tell him it's still 5 minutes before closing and I need to grab literally 1 thing (batteries which are right in front of the checkout line). I also saw at least 2 people still shopping/walking around. Dude just shakes his head not turning around then pretends to not hear me. I slide open the door slightly to repeat myself. He does the same stupid motion and tells me, "we close 5 minutes early to keep the store empty" with a "gtfo out my face" expression that frequently shows on faces of power trippers like him. Looks like a perfect example of a someone who became a security guard due to their subpar (people) skills. Him ignoring me and telling me off wasted a good 3 minutes during which I could've easily grabbed my item and been checking out, when the policy is 5 minutes and I got there with 5 minutes left. Anyways, if you need something close to closing time, go to 7 11. It'll save you the time and energy of getting annoyed with these types of people sitting on their throne, flexing the only power they have in their lives. Big bad gatekeepers, watch out for em! 5 stars for **EMILY** the store manager though - she's very down to earth and one of the chillest people I've met at a retail store. Not to mention, she has singlehandedly carried the entire Ralphs multiple times near closing as I've seen her handle very long lines with carts full of items.. yet I've never seen her show any sign of being tired/annoyed. read more

Great location. The store is older and does need a remodel, but it is clean and well stocked with plenty of free parking. Everyone was friendly and helpful and everything is fresh here. You can get great deals if you shop their sales and manager specials as well as signing up for their rewards program. Great option for groceries in the area. read more

Saved over $14 next stop with Leila's and Henry's friendly review and refund (an unnecessary waste of our times due to Ms Lenny).... 1 1/2 read: Not too long ago, I used to work here, at this RALPHS, in the Deli Department. At that time, Pam was the Deli Manager and I asked her for a job, she interviewed me, and hired me. I don't work there anymore. But occasionally, I go in to say hello to my ex coworkers. Yesterday (07/09/24) I went in to get a couple of items. I didn't see anyone I knew. However, RALPHS is always fully stocked. I found what I came to get and took off. There's plenty of parking. The neighborhood is nice. I like shopping at RALPHS. read more

This is the worst Ralphs around. Specifically because things they stock are substantially less quality than say the Ralph's right down the street on cold water and Ventura, which is the same size. I live next-door and wind up having to drive to other Ralph's farther away to get the ingredients that I need. I was an every day shopper. I'm a single dad who goes into shop For each meal sometimes no ore then three times a day. I rode my bike and forgot my lock. I was going to take the bike in the store and ask to leave it in the front out of the way but I noticed a new security to used get up and run over to a manager so took the wheels off and put the bike in the cart a made it 3 steps into the store when I was surrounded by security and a very rude manager no plesentre " you can't put the bike in the cart it's a health code violation I assumed by the instant rude un professiona behavior she was profiling me because of the bike. I told her I was only getting some detergent. And the security guard put his hands on my cart and started moving it towards the door with me in its path. The prices have gotten absolutely ridiculous and arbitrary. Some items will be marked 60% off one week, the next they're marked up. They're selling the most generic bread for over $5/loaf. And the Ralph's card is fucking stupid -- giving discounts on items, pretending it's a good deal, but they're already marked so ridiculously high, the 'sale' price is where any normal grocery store would already mark it. I understand inflation is an issue, but Ralph's/Kroger are taking advantage and arbitrarily raising prices on everyday essentials. Shameful. I'm actively looking for an alternative. Not to mention I inevitably end up having to do my own cashiering and bagging every time I go because they only have 1 or 2 people at a cash register. read more

I've lived in this neighborhood for over 10 years and this Ralph used to be my local grocery store. Pretty recently every time I have gone in I've been offended by the cashiers which happened to be Latin ladies, which always accuse you of trying to steal and trust me. Living in this neighborhood I would have no reason to steal and I'm also not Hispanic so I'm gonna say this if you aren't of Hispanic descent,. If you happen to be a person of color, avoid all the Hispanic cashiers that are women because they love to accuse the customers of stealing. I think they do it just to belittle the customers. I've been a loyal customer of this store. I will never go back. They have a armed security guard there with a gun. Let him do his job you as a cashier which you can't watch every line. In this situation, I had already went in a previous line and paid for items that were in a bag. The receipt was in the bag. I forgot one item and so I decided to go back into the line and I put the item in front of the cashier to pay for it. She was so concerned about my items that were already bagged previously. She'd rather sit there and accuse a loyal customer of stealing. And then she's gonna laugh and say just making sure as her bagger is assuring her that I've already paid for the items. 2022.02-21/MON: This Ralph's seems to be a little smaller than the other locations but we come here for the fresh produce. Most of the produce doesn't seem to go bad in a couple of days which shows a lot about how quick they go through it. We also come here for the meat quality. Lately, our last three purchases of meat haven't been the greatest. We had bought a tri-tip roast on our last visit and to our amazement, we found lymph nodes under the back fat but these are things that should have been cut out by the butcher. Once we saw these blood clot-looking nodes, we completely lost our appetite and ended up eating chicken that night. On two of our previous visits, we've found a lot of silver skin on the skirt steak. We generally trim as much as we can off but this time, the butcher didn't trim much of it off and cleverly hid most of it when it was packaged. So when you see the package, you see a bunch of meat through the plastic. When we pulled the skirt steak out and started to trim it, there was more inedible silver skin than usual so we barely had any meat. We mainly paid for the weight of inedible meat. When we decided to return it exchange it, we couldn't because we didn't have the label from the package and it was a total waste of money. Not sure if they hired a new butcher but it was never like this before but it truly shows when you have a good butcher in place or not. Our butcher sadly passed away and we had to find an alternative until they reopen. Now we actually don't want to buy meat again from here because that was traumatizing but maybe one day. For now, I can say the staff is very nice and good if you want to stop in really quick to grab something. read more

I have gone to the store since it opened, it used to be clean, easy access down aisles and happy staff. Now it's terrible. You can't get down aisles, items aren't stocked . In the am they won't open a register. They demand you use self checkout, where many of the machines are broken. This am mine broke when I was close to finish. No one at the area to help you. I had to go find someone who had to find them. i Called some friends who I knew that went to this location. They said yes this location is great but they stopped using a few years ago because this store just doesn't care about the customers. Ps. Over charges. I bought chicken second one free, and was charged for both. I told the man at the register the second was free. He kept saying no. I had to leave the line take a photo of the sign and showed it to him that wasn't good enough, went back and got the nice butcher who went to the register to confirm. read more

But today, I bought $40 worth of Salmon with worms in it (which I'm aware all fish has worms... but I couldn't stomach it when they are still alive and moving around on the fish and the plastic covering). And I thought, okay, I won't buy fish from there and pay for elsewhere. But I pull out my mini bell peppers and they're moldy. I JUST got them. Really really unfortunate. I did not want to rate this store because it does **not** deserve even one star. I have been treated poorly on multiple occasions. For over seven years, I have visited this store after work, always carrying a bag. Let me share one particular incident, as I have reported this to Kroger. On January 30, 2025, while shopping, I went to the kitchen department and asked about the price of the chicken wings. One of the older Armenian women, who always has a frown on her face, responded with an attitude. She turned to her coworkers and said, *"He's not going to buy anything anyway, why ask?"* Is this how they treat customers? A few minutes later, the manager approached me and demanded that I leave my bag at the front. I explained that I always bring my bag and visit this store almost daily. Instead of a reasonable response, she rudely yelled, *"You need to keep the bag in the front, otherwise leave!"* This is how they speak to a loyal customer of over seven years--someone who has never stolen from this store or any other. considerable number of the employees, with the exception of one or two, are unprofessional, disrespectful, and discriminatory toward people of color, especially those with darker skin tones( al least this how I feel after all these years ). If there were another store nearby, I WILL NOT STEP INTO THIS STORE, AND I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANY DECENT HUMAN BEING. AND IF YOU ARE A PERSON WITH A DARKER SKIN TONE, THINK TWICE BEFORE STEPPING INTO THIS STORE. It's over a year later and my Ralph's experience is still miserable at this store and others. There are never enough checkers, so the lines are long and time consuming. I was there last night before 9 PM and there were three long lines about a quarter a way down each aisle. Two lines had checkers and one was self checkout. Stop the corporate greed and staff your stores Kroger! By the way, I believe the employees are grumpy because they're overworked and underpaid. Stop shopping at Ralph's and shop Trader Joe's, Jon's and VONS for a much better experience. read more

I have been going to this store for nearly 40 years. For much of that it was a great store. As the neighborhood has gotten larger, though, the store cannot keep pace with the amount of people shopping here. It is over-crowded with end caps and other things blocking the aisles. Our elderly community has trouble getting down the aisles. I can never find a manager. And I can NEVER get anyone on the phone, no matter what department I am calling. Twice I have picked up their ready -to-go sandwiches and they have been awful. Yesterday I picked up one (11/10) with an expiration date of 11/13. The bread was stale and the lettuce wilted. The cheese was hardened on the edges. There is NO quality control. It's disgusting. I will not be back to this store. They need to have a corporate official come and review them. read more

This is my neighborhood Ralph's and I love it. It deserves way better than the 1 stars it's gotten. But trolls do exist...even on Yelp pages. I could go to the much larger store at Burbank/Van Nuys but it's farther. I go there sometimes when I'm in the area. What I specifically like about this Ralph's is that I can find things quick, shelves are usually well stocked and the cashiers always seems to be in a good and helpful mood. I love Ralph's when it comes to options customer service depending where and convenience. However this specific Ralph's needs a good update with inventory as well as quality control. Purchased this Haig's Hummus yesterday and didn't notice that it expired back in October 6, 2022 and today is already November 14th 2022. Pics are posted below for evidence. Luckily I pulled the seal off and saw it before I was about to start eating it. Terrible please have your shelves checked for expired foods in the store and ensure that new one's are there so nobody buys expired foods. read more
