M&M's World London is located super close to one of London's biggest tourist areas, Piccadilly Circus, which makes it an easy and fun stop while exploring the city. We came specifically to make the personalized M&M's, and honestly the whole process was really cool. You go up to a kiosk, upload your photo and any text you want printed on the M&M's, then get into another line where you choose the colors you want for the candies. About five minutes later, your custom M&M's come out ready to go. You can choose small, medium, or large sizes, and the whole process only took us around 20 minutes total. The store itself is absolutely massive. We didn't really do any shopping because we mainly came for the personalized M&M's as a souvenir from London, but it was definitely a really cool experience and something unique to bring home. read more

Tip: It's the world's largest candy store. It's worth the visit! I visited London for the first time in December 2013. My priority wasn't to visit Big Ben or Buckingham Palace. My goal: M&M's World. I had visited all M&M's World stores in the, well, world, except for this one. I needed this visit to say that I had completed my goal. I then learned that Shanghai had a new M&M's World. Ugh! A few years later, I'd visit it. I have just learned that Shanghai has another location downtown. Ugh again! Okay, I need to revisit that city, as well as London. This M&M's World is located at Leicester Square. It's actually closer to take the underground and exit Piccadilly Circus station. You then walk a block north, hang a left, and the coolest store for kids and kids at heart is there. This store is special. It's the flagship M&M's store. It's the largest candy store in the world with four floors of bliss. I loved this store so much that I visited it three times during a seven-day stay in London. If it had a hotel built into this store, I'd stay there. You get to see the M&M's version of The Beatles crossing Abbey Road. It was awesome. There's a British spin all all characters, from Ms Green as a princess, to Red being a Yeoman Warder (London Guard). I felt happy and comfortable at this store. Staff are great helping to taking photos of you with the M&M's characters with your phone or camera. They have staffers dressed up as characters and you have regular characters scattered on all four floors. The wall of candy is mesmerizing. The colours popped and the display was gorgeous. You can try your hand at what M&M's colour matches your mood. I got black, which was funny. I got so much merchandise that probably half my luggage was from this store. I still have and use these items: - Tote bag - A blue M&M's toque and matching gloves - A mug with the Abbey Road theme I have fond memories visiting this store. Having been to every single M&M store (NYC, Orlando, Vegas) I had to stop at this one to make it full circle. It's about the same as the other stores; clothes, dish-ware, magnets, dispensers and of course m&ms. This store is 3 levels with lots of stuff available for your buying pleasure. Of course there's a lot of "London" branded items. I did make purchase and I was not able to use a coupon I had. Yes, I got it in the states, but it doesn't say anywhere that it is only redeemable in America. So, I'm not sure why they wouldn't let me use it. read more

If you're an M&Ms fan, this is an easy stop to make while you're in London (even if you're not a huge M&Ms fan, it's still pretty cute). I've been to M&Ms World/Stores in Las Vegas and New York, and I think this falls in the middle of the two. The Las Vegas M&Ms World is a full experience with activities and things to do, the New York one is literally just a store and that is all. The London M&Ms location is a store with a few little cute touches like the M&Ms as the Beatles, an M&M statue dressed as a Royal Guard, and an M&M double decker London bus. So definitely check this place out whether you're an M&M super fan or not, because it is pretty cute just to see and maybe buy a few treats, just for the normal chocolate lover. read more

Quality/Quantity - Wow, one of the largest M&M Worlds I have ever visited. We go to the one in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA often; see other Yelp. Not sure what happened to all my pictures... I guess I still struggle with I.T. while traveling. Part of the issue is that I am starting to travel without my laptop and I am just not that technology savvy with my phone. Atmosphere - Again, HUGE location. Just read on your website, the world's largest M&M store and world's largest candy store with 35,000 sq ft; again, wow. Very touristy location. Service - Good. What adult or kid alike would not love M&M world?! Really this place is great! It is located right in the middle of Piccadilly Circus and it's 3 floors of candy, fun, and excitement for kids and adults alike! We were in the area and had sometime before dinner. We stopped in and walked around. The smell of chocolate is very present from the moment you walk in till the moment you leave. This place is 3 levels of fun! On the first floor you have merchandise, on the second level you have more M&M's than you have ever seen, plus flavors of M&M's that can only be found in the UK (salted caramel M&M's!! The best kind). There is also a place on the 2nd floor where you can get face imprinted on the shell of an M&M! The third floor is more shopping and people taking pictures of the beloved red and yellow M&M's mascots of the company! This place is awesome! I am so surprised we don't have one in Disney World! But it's a fun way to explore and walk around. Also do not be afraid to ask for samples! They are happy to give them out for free, you just have to ask. The 35,000 square feet M&M's World in London's Leicester Square is the largest candy store in the world. Although it feels a lot bigger than the one in New York City, the amount, and variety, of M&M's merchandise seems to be much less than what the store in New York has to offer. Consumerism on a massive sugar high! Now I have had the privilege of visiting the Las Vegas M&M's Store and so knew what to expect, the incredibly over excited little boy next to me wasn't quite so prepared and preceded to jump up and down screaming "all this for sweets?" The London branch of the M&M's stores opened this week, the first one outside of the USA and officially the worlds largest sweet store. It is four floors and 35,000 square feet of M&M's merchandise, clothing, cushions, cutlery and so on. The British themed gimmicks are worth a look, M&M characters recreating the Beatles Abbey road, portraits of M&M Henry VIII and Elizabeth I, and in the middle of the store a big red double decker bus playing M&M short animations. It's big and colourful and will inevitably set kids pulses racing, but it is also expensive and one can't escape the fact that it is four floors of space dedicated solely to random overpriced knickknacks that simply have an M&M logo on them. There is also only one corner of one floor dedicated solely to the M&M's themselves, tube after tube of different coloured M&M's but no international flavours such as peanut butter. If Willie Wonka was real (for those of you who didn't know that, that I am truly sorry for adding him to your there is no Santa Claus realisation), then I doubt even his Chocolate Factory could rival the marvellous world of chocolate created by M&M's at the old Swiss Clock Centre in Leicester Square. A branded store is always a ropey business prospect, remember the Fashion Cafe? A burger bar, fronted by supermodels who didn't actually eat the food or Planet Hollywood, fronted by movie stars who never actually eat there. Yep, aside from Disney branded stores don't usually equal good business, but from what I saw the M&M store may just be the exception. The wow factor hits you the moment you walk through the entrance where you pass through an old style double decker red bus, which you won't be able to resist taking a few pictures of and also features giant interactive screens. The smart thing they've done in store is to give it a cinema theme. Cash and customer service booths are lit up in cinema lights and dotted throughout the store are M&M characters in costume (the Guardsman is funny) or against backdrops. Just past the bus, is a fabulous spiralling staircase in flame red.At the bottom of the stairs was one of the coolest shop displays I've seen in a while, M&M's does the Beatles, with four of your favourite M&M characters walking across their very own Abbey Road aptly named M&M Road. There's just enough space for you and your friends to join in...and that again makes for a great photo opportunity. If you like me love colour, then this is the store that keeps on giving with a riot of colour on all of its four floors. My favourite floor contained a rainbow wall of chocolate where you can make your own M&M super mix of 22 colours of both milk chocolate and peanut M&M'S housed in more than 100, gigantic clear floor to ceiling dispensers. As I used to love Woolworths Pick and Mix (oh how I miss Woolworths !) this was a dream come true for me and I had to be physically dragged away by my buddy, but not before I picked up my very own M&M gum ball dispenser - result ! So what else is is in the store - merchandise, merchandise and more branded M&M merchandise. From keyrings, toys and stuff ed character cushions to kitchenware, clothing (some very tacky underwear, t-shirts and lounge wear), bedding and even glassware. The staff get a big thumbs up from me. They were lively, informed and actually seemed like they wanted to be there, which was fortunate, as when I visited the store it was packed. You can quite obviously tell its M&M'S WORLD LONDON as there are the Abbey Road M&M's, the entrance being in a big red bus, and things with the London logo on it. The place itself is epically enormous and there is even an M&M lab where you can order your own custom color combinations. OF COURSE the ax I always have to grind with M&M stores is WHY THE HECK DON'T YOU SELL M&Ms AT THEM?? Sure they sell PLAIN in some novelty cases but where the heck are all the varieties and stuff??? I wanted some peanut butter M&Ms in London as I can't find them anywhere else, but of course they have nothing. Crispy, peanut, peanut butter, coconut, almond, pretzel, YOU'VE GOT SO MANY VARIETIES SO SHOW THEM OFF!!! The products themselves are incredibly expansive, oh my goodness they have everything! They even get pretty racist with their Asian foodware, as they have M&M characters dressed like stereotypical Japanese chefs, I loved it!!! It is more than a shop (even if I wanted to buy everything I saw), it is a free Museum for children as well as for adults! Well, there are many things you can say about m&m's - but there will always be a warm place in my heart for it. So when I arrived to London I was thrilled to hear that there's m&m world there, as I've been to the shop in Vegas about 10 years ago and remember it as real fun. Despite the crazy amount of people and the big mess caused by them, it was still a lot of fun and a great experience if you have kids, you are a kid, have a young spirits or just love there little chocolate candies. 4 floors with every piece of merchandise you could come with- clothing, plushies, blankets, towels, cups and kitchen stuff and much more. And don't forget the heavenly place where you can purchase m&m's in pretty much every possible color. Isn't it enough? You can also personalize it - for parties and special occasions, or just for yourself. The prices are pretty high, and it's very crowded and messy - despite all that I was happy I went in and checked it out, it sure was a fun experience. Guess my judgement is clouded by my affection to that awesome chocolate candies. You have to love it to go there. I mean, a whole store featuring chocolates? Yeah, a massive one! I love chocolates and I like M&M's, but I believe not that much. Loads of items of the M&M's from mugs to t-shirts and collectionist's valuables to toys. All quite pricey for the quality they offer, no doubt acording to the diference in value of the pound against the dollar. I have been recently in NY and the price was quite ok compared to the exactly the same overpriced things I've seen here. I've been several times to London and never spotted it before. yes, I try to escape the tourist attractions in the city. It's always packed and noisy. Well, it`s London anyway. But as soon as I was in front of M&M's World in Leicester Square, it was impossible to resist. Not because it's known as the largest sweet ( candy? chocolate?) shop in the world ( is it true?) but because chocolate is my guide and I was curious to check how it would be work. Well, it's basically made for tourists. And they were everywhere. That`s mental. And crazy is the quantity of M&M`s products you can find in the 4th floors of this place. T-shirts, mugs, towels or any imaginable colourful souvenir with M&M faces stamped on it. But lest`s be honest, who are these massive fans of M&M's? But again, in my first trip to London I went back to Brazil with plenty " I Love London" souvenirs in my suitcase. Who explains? Well, the place is a success and it`s also crazy. Beyond that, children must love. Parents must be shocked. The prices of the souvenirs are not inviting all but at least the funniest part of M&M`s world are for free. And it's great to take a photo of the M&M`s road ( Abbey Road themed). So cute! Photos, photos and more photos. Wherever you go, you want to take a different photo. As well all people there. So, be prepared to fight for your space. Not literally, obvious. It`s great to have a double-decker bus placed in the entrance of the attraction. And it is must better to choose your own M&M`s colours and full your bag of chocolate.Ready to go! Loved it. Loved so much that would buy it every time I pass by the place. In this case, the price is not that expensive and I went back home with loads of variations of purple M&M's. I am not an M&Ms fan and I never buy it but I loved this place and I bought the chocolates!! It is such a fun shop with so much to look at - its tacky but in a fun way. The displays are really nice and you can take good selfies there! The staff are very friendly and available to help. I also bought their merchandise (really don't know why - the smell of chocolate in the air made me do it!) I now own an M&M blanket, a mug and a little backpack for baby! Why?! The items are actually quite expensive in the store, as well as the chocolates so not really worth buying! What?? I can't believe M&M's London is getting such average reviews! It was so much fun in there! I've been to the one in NYC and in Las Vegas and I would say this one was just as fun. Who doesn't love chocolate? There was plenty of things to take your pictures by- example M&M's dressed in the Buckinham Palace guards uniform! You can also create your own M&M concoction. I would say that the chocolate in London tastes way different than the US and not really in the better sense. More like Ovaltine in Asian countries. Not bad just different. Out of all the places in London that sell sweets, you would expect this one to carry multiple varieties of M&M's. You'd be wrong. They only sell regular and peanut. No crispy, no pretzel, no dark chocolate, no coconut, no peanut butter, just the two plainest varieties. We were pleasantly surprised by the size of the store, with loads to see on each floor and loads of M&M fun photo opportunities. We soon noticed that a lot of the products were duplicated throughout the store, which felt a bit disappointing, but there are some interesting zones within the store specialising in goods for specific groups ( eg Girls, Boys ) or interests (stationary, creative etc) as well a loads of London based and themed M&M goods (clothes, mugs, jewellery and loads more). The big tubes of M&Ms, which are present in all M&M's world stores from which you can fill your clear bag with a wide an assortment as you fancy, fill two areas on two floors and look really impressive and colourful, unfortunately the variety is mostly based on colour with only Standard, Peanut, Crunchy and Dark (Peanut only). The choices were very disappointing, We had visited the Florida M&M's world (a few years ago) and they had a far wider choice in their 'tubes' and as such it felt a better experience despite being a smaller store. Sometimes it was difficult to identify the staff as some were wearing M&M's blankets over their uniforms as part of a promotion, hiding their coloured shirts and making them blend in with the customers. The 'Lab' area looked a bit bare, I even noticed that the tubes in the room were empty, and appeared to me to take up a lot of space without adding anything to the experience. One of these things where you think 'nice idea, poor execution' Overall the experience was good, the atmosphere was average for a tourist lead store but I felt that the store could be so much more, but has been let down by the repetitive products and the lack of choice of M&M variations in the "choose your own" tubes. Considering there are specialist sweet stores such as CyberCandy, within London, that provide International sweets, I felt let a little let down. read more

The M&M store is Leicester Square is incredibly American, touristy, and usually very busy. Beyond that though, they have entire walls of M&Ms in huge tubes, divided into almost every colour, and you can fill up bags or various shaped containers with the colours you want! You've heard the stories of celebrities who will only eat one specific colour of M&M? Well now you can to. That in itself is quite fun, as there are loads of colours you can buy there which aren't in the usual packs you buy everywhere else. There are three floors of memorabilia, lots of M&M themed statues and lots and lots of M&Ms. On the lowest floor, there's an M&M factory (they don't actually make M&Ms though) where they will fulfil orders for things which you have customised on a large touch screen. You can kill some time here with kids (if your kids can be around toys and chocolate without screaming for everything in sight). A word of warning though, they pump chocolate scent into the air which will either be irresistible, or incredibly sickly. read more

I'm sure many of you love looking at a big M&M's recreating The Beatles' Abbey Road cover, getting your way at a "mix lab", Union Jacks made of M&Ms, being "scanned" for your perfect color, and eating a zillion M&Ms. Well, I don't. First Problem: The British eat SMARTIES, which is pretty much the same thing ... NOT M&Ms, even 6 years after you opened. And Smarties are made with a high-quality chocolate. Second Problem: Union Jack, Abbey Road, Changing of the Guard, driving a Double Decker Bus, and M&M James Bond in a Aston-Martin...how many London icons are you going the M&M-ize?!?! Third Problem: Your monstrosity of a building replaced the Swiss Centre. Is it M&Ms fault that the Swiss Centre got demolished? Probably not, but it's shameful to put such a money grab monument to dull candy in the place of a landmark. BOOOOOOO! Fourth Problem: The multigenerational M&Ms lie that "The Milk Chocolate melts in your mouth, not in your hand". Sure, the milk chocolate doesn't, but THE COLORING DOES. After eating your candy, my hands would look like I strangled Rainbow Brite. London is a city of history, not of cheap candy. You might like it, I don't. read more

Having been to M&M World in Las Vegas, I had to make a trip here for comparison. Well, you have to give them an A for making the London M&M experience London-centric - there were hordes of tourists getting their picture taken at the mock up of an London way-before-health-&-Safety open-at-the-back Routemaster red bus and at a recreation of the famous Beatles Abbey Road photo with M&Ms substituting for the famous four. However, a crushing disappointment came about when it quickly became clear that the only flavours of M&Ms available were plain and peanut. I love peanut butter M&Ms. I bring back large amounts of PB M&Ms when I come back from America. I should be able to get PB M&Ms at M&M World!! Even more worrying is the reason why they don't have any of the more exotic flavours. Apparently, the American M&Ms don't meet European food labelling laws! Eeek! The European versions are having to be made at a special factory in France So beware - this shop is just one giant merchandising exercise aimed at trying to maximise revenue from their brand. Well, listen up, M&M executives, I don't want an M&M bag, badge or keyring. I want what you're famous for, your confectionery. Don't open your shop until you have the proper supply chain for your chocolate products. The only thing saving this place from a one star review are the wonderful smiley staff, who must be fed up by now of fielding the same question about other flavours and having to apologise. read more

Whiskey. Tango. Foxtrot. I can't believe this place. All I wanted for an after dinner snackie poo was a handful of peanut butter m&ms. 'Phew,' I thought, 'thank heavens the M&M store just opened, I can fulfill my slight homesickness and be overjoyed for the rest of the evening.' Not so much--in fact, not at all. Four stories of a store, FOUR, that is supposed to be dedicated to my favourite childhood candy. Of the four floors, only 1/4 of ONE floor had any sort of edible candy. Oh yes, there were probably about 50 bins of beautifully flavoured m&ms ...in either plain or peanut. I'm sorry, WHAT? what about the crunchie one, or the new m&m pretzels, or my beautiful PEANUT BUTTER ones?? We asked an employee--she said that were working on it and had people asking for them, but they were being made specially in France so that they didn't have as many yucky preservatives and additives as the American versions. Pardon? I like those additives, thank you very much. Tip one, don't slag off the American candy in the very candy store you work for. I love chocolate but why does this exist? Someone please explain that to me. People rave about this place and there are faces of glee all over the shop. This place is so ridiculous and of so little value it seems to be whipping me into a state of Scrouge-like bitterness and existential angst. As a person with occasional OCD moments, the 2x10m spectrum of M&M dispensers was beautiful, but I can just satisfy my weird colour coordinating desires in the sock department of Uniqlo. Judge me if you will. It's essentially one of those shops that sells mind-bogglingly expensive souvenir tat, but extrapolated to obscenely palatial proportions. Who would buy any mug for £25, especially one with ugly gender conformist confectionary characters daubed all over in upsettingly bright colours? The "M&M lab" is a nice idea but pointless. The "which M&M are you?" area (I'm gold apparently) is fun but completely non quantifiable and therefore pointless too. You will appreciate M&M World if you love the following: 1) Grown ups dressed as chocolates 2) Portraits of M&Ms dressed as historical figures 3) M&Ms 4) Extortionately priced low quality goods 5) The overwhelming and grotesque smell of synthesised chocolate pumped into the air con 6) Yet more shelves of overpriced confectionary trinkets Maybe I'm just too cynical to enjoy this bastion of confectionary wonder. It is and will continue to be ideal bait for bored tourists. It feels commercially vacuous and purposeless: a huge building deifying a chocolate that I didn't realise people actually cared that much about. There are several dozen other chocolate confections that I would rather have wasting my time and the prime real estate location. read more

M&M's world is a kingdom of sweetness. Exactly it is. If you can think of any colour or flavour, there you can find it in M&M's (well, if you're a fan of a Pratchett's Discworld, please don't be so choosy and don't think of Octarine). I guess I haven't seen such a colourful place in my life. The store is located in the centre of London, has about four floors I guess and in every each of it you can find not only candies, but also t-shirts, towels, cups or toys and there are also man-sized figurines as M&M's kings and queens, knights and whatever. If you would like to buy something, be careful - classic bags of M&M's from Tesco are much more cheaper then there are. However, here you can buy many sizes and shapes of boxes full of M&M's, that your kids will beg until you'll die or buy them all goodies they want. Also be prepared for messy and overcrowded shop (even though it has four floors, yes) as it is full of people in any daytime. Pretty cool thing over there is a lab, where you can watch "chemists" who are preparing your own special mix. You shouldn't miss this store if you're a tourist in the London! read more

Good for killing half an hour in Central London if you've never been before. It's a huge shop (considering it's on Leicester Square it must cost them a fortune to keep it open). It's well decorated and attractively impressive from the outside. They pump chocolate smells into the air which 1) makes you feel immersed in the m&m experience and 2) is probably the main reason you'd buy the overpriced tat in there. It's a touristy place which isn't bad, and is good to be seen. But once you've been there you've done that. read more
