I heated this up in the microwave as soon as I got home and it was so delicious! Much better than the Turkey meatloaf from SnapKitchen which I had tried before. Everything in the container (Brussels sprouts, sweet potatoes, and meatloaf) were really bold in flavor and didn't make you feel like you were sacrificing flavor for it being healthy. For 308 calories in a dinner that is filling- you really can't go wrong! Since trying the first one, I also tried the Sirloin Beef and Broccoli (355 calories) which had a bit of heat (spiciness) to it but otherwise the flavor was just YUM. Another winning meal! These Cost Plus stores have bars / snacks that I have never seen at your usual supplement stores which is nice. They also have different products between the stores which can be kind of fun! This location of Cost Plus Nutrition has very friendly staff that is happy to help you find the product for your needs. The store manager is also very knowledgeable and fun to talk to to learn about new/ up&coming products. They have a great selection of products and carry a good range of local specialty products to your usual bars like the Quest/ One Brands. My favorite thing about this store though is your ability to find a new/ tasty protein snack here- they're always finding things that are new to the market and that taste great before they're mainstream. Only issues with this store and other locations of it is that the company is smaller so they don't have a ton of inventory and are often sold out of the product you go in looking for and they have to order it. Also, they are sometimes a bit higher in price than other stores because they're small but they're always happy to understand where they can do better (I've never left dissatisfied). I found a narrow shop with the simple word, "Nutrition" above the door. Was this the place? I sure hoped so. Upon entering, I found a comfortable atmosphere, complete with a leather sofa and some tables, along with a bar area. The owner, Michael, welcomed me in and I located a menu with more than 20 protein shake flavors. I was in the mood for a cold, refreshing pick-me-up, but with 20 grams of protein in one shake, I quickly realized this could be dinner. Michael told me one of his favorite flavors was raspberry cheesecake, which is what I ordered. With options on the menu ranging from Almond Joy to Butter Pecan and Aloha Delight, you are sure to find a flavor that suites your taste. They also offer herbal green tea, healthy snack bars and protein shake mixes. The shake I had was good, delivering plenty of healthy benefits along with an understated, yet rich, flavor. Michael told me that his store isn't necessarily a smoothie bar, but more of a nutrition club where athletes and people looking to lose a few pounds can come for a protein shake and some heart-to-heart with a fitness specialist. Shake It Up has plenty of customers that come in during breakfast and lunch, as well as a sizeable after work crowd. With such little signage, I was surprised that anyone had found this little joint, but Michael told me that most of his customers come via word-of-mouth. He works in his shop as a personal trainer and helps people tone up and lose extra pounds. Usually, they refer friends and stop by for meal replacement shakes. If you are interested in a personal training session, they begin at $40 and go up from there. Michael was exceedingly friendly and willing to chat about my personal health goals. this place has over perscribed my mother twice now, including two anti depressants at once, and…read moreblood presure medication. the physicans here do not check the notes of others, and will give you drugs that will conflict with your body; my mother was made to see things that were not there, because of their malpractice; she also has had dizziness and falling issues, from the medication given; at one point, she was given the oral version of a topical cream, and it caused her to see "ghosts", while she has been sound of mind her whole life. care providers will ask how youre feeling, or what an ailment may be that you have, but then they will perscribe another drug, without asking how the prior ones have made you feel. the doctors may "care", but at times, i have had to check my mother's doctor on their methods of care, and the like. if you use humana, or a government assisted medical care plan of any kind, do not go here, ask for a different center, and press them to make sure that they are paying attention to what you need and how you feel. go any where, or any place other than here.
