Today I only needed a notary to notarize a couple of papers. As one person walked toward me to ask what I needed, another person beat her to it. When I said I needed something notarized, I received a big smile, a wave over and the reply, "I'm a notary, I'll do it right now. " I have to say, I was completely surprised not to have to put my name on a list and be kept waiting; pleasantly surprised that my visit took less than five minutes and I was on my way. The notary even offered to explain my paperwork if I needed it. Breath of fresh air to deal with people who like their job, are in a good mood and offer genuine customer service!

I feel safe keeping my money with them, that they won't nickle and dime me, I have never had to argue with a service rep about an overdraft fee. KeyBank customer service is horrible! I accidentally left my debit card in the ATM machine like…read moreI've done in the past- nothing that hasn't happened before. I must have done it at least 10 times in the past. When I could recall did I left it in the machine I would think to myself, "that's alright. I'll just go to the bank tomorrow, show them my ID to verify that it's my card, and get it back." This time was an exception. I went with conventional wisdom and decided to call Key Bank's customer service at the very instant I realized the card was stuck in the machine. Because many things were linked to that card and I knew where I misplaced it, it was unnecessary to have a new card reissued or permanently deactivate the card. I agreed with the customer service representative to put a temporary block on the card because I had so many things linked to the debit card and if I had one reissued it would be like starting all over again. As usual, my plan was to return the bank the following day, show them a photo ID, and be out the door with my debit card. I arrived at the Main and Springville branch at around 3:45 relieved I contacted customer service the previous day that would come in to pick up the card. I told the teller my name as I reach into my bag to pull out my ID, but to no avail she informed me it was already destroyed and they would have to have a new one issued. I was so infuriated, the Amherst Police Department called to ask if I was alright. I probably would have been better off not call calling them and just asking for my card the next day. I have a new slogan for "Key Bank: back-stabbing customer service you can distrust." Effective next week, I'm closing my all my accounts with Key and going to another bank. The whole transaction from pulling up to leaving probably took about 3 minutes. The teller was nice. When I left, there were 3 cars behind me. I arrived at the right time to do my banking. There are signs on the poles saying what is expected if you go in, ie wearing a face mask, practice social distancing, and what their new hours of operation are.
