They made me hobble in on my fractured foot to come in so they could look me in the eye and tell me nobody at the bank recognized me when this woman doesn't even work at the location. The last time I was there I waited 2--25 minutes in common teller line, there was only 2 staff at the branch:- one teller and the assistant manager when the assistant manager finished dealing with a customer at his desk and as he moved to the teller windows he allowed a woman who had just walk in to the branch to cut in front of me over my objections This was a disgraceful way to treat a customer. The rep Gloria was just so genuinely sweet and helpful in making seamless transactions - we were able to be on our way promptly. I so wanted to hug her. This used to be a fine place to do your banking back in its Westchester Credit Union days. I kept…read moreit as my primary institution for many years even after moving to Brooklyn. The personal service, generous rates, and surprisingly robust and easy online presence made it an easy choice despite my lack of proximity to a physical branch. Ever since the merger with NEA, however, this credit union seems to be going downhill. Where once reaching people directly was easy, it now seems virtually impossible - especially at this branch. Most phone calls route to the main branch in Bardonia, where few calls are answered, and messages are returned days later, if at all. I've had certificates auto-renewed at against my wishes at poor rates/terms due to my inability to contact anyone here in a reasonable amount of time. While the staff at this branch is still friendly and helpful, the overall experience is no longer worth the lack of proximity. And I can and would no longer recommend this credit union as a better, more personal banking experience even if you do live nearby.
