I met these two guys through a mutual friend way back when they first opened, around 1984 or so. Had my cars worked on by them until I moved about 30 minutes away in the mid 90s. Mark and Craig are exceptionally trustworthy mechanics. When we leave the car, they'll only make repairs if it's required, and talk to us if there are other issues that may become a problem later on, before doing more. They always are helpful about discussing options for what to do. They bend over backward to help with options on cost for parts and such. They have kept our cars repaired and running for far longer than anticipated. We are the kind of people who drive our cars as long as they will run. We have one car that MC has been in charge of for 16 years, and it was a 9-year-old car when they started taking care of it 16 years ago. In addition to being excellent at what they do, they are really good people, and really care about customer service, which is the best combination you can hope for. My family has been going to them for decades, and we will continue to go to them until they're in walkers and can't do it anymore. ;-) read more

I live in Philly and my daughter is a student at Penn State Brandywine. My daughter calls me in a panic because her car is running very rough, now I don't know any shops in Media so I look online and see MC Automotive is just 3 miles away from campus and I see all 5 star reviews and now I know why. We had to leave the car after closing on Tuesday and they had the car repaired by 12 noon the next day. The cost for repair was well with in reason and Craig was right on target with what he felt was the problem. Very happy with this shop and would recommend them for auto repairs. I've been taking my cars here for years and wouldn't consider another place - I've had my fill of bad mechanics. I had an old car that sat for almost a full year and was making an awful racket when I started driving it again. They diagnosed the problem and replaced my exhaust system quickly and at a very reasonable price. The next time I went in, there was something wrong with my car's computer, and they knew they were not the right people to fix it. They didn't charge me to diagnose the problem and I consider that very honest. Unfortunately, my beater has moved on to another owner, but I attribute its long life to these guys! Years ago, I bought a car that had been serviced at MC Auto in Media, PA. The seller highly recommended MC (Mark & Craig & Donna) so I gave them a try. I know my cars and had for years been used to never taking a car in for inspection at other places without having to pay for $300 in questionable repairs (the kind that can't be qualified with a measurement, but they have your car held hostage), and my cars are very well maintained (in fact, I do preventive maintenance before things fail). For more than a decade, now, I have been bringing all three of my cars to MC Auto, and they have been HONEST as the day is long. They have plenty of return business already, and they NEVER load me up with questionable charges. They are thorough in their inspections, and they do top quality work. The main thing, however, is that I know I can TRUST them to be HONEST and ETHICAL which is pure gold in the auto repair business. I wouldn't take my cars anywhere else unless Mark or Craig recommended that I take my car to a specialty shop for something. Good people you can trust. read more

Rude. Called and asked if I could bring my car in after having problems at a Jiffy Lube and was cut off mid-sentence with a nasty: "Nope! Go back to Jiffy Lube" and pretty much hung up on. No explanation, nothing. Sometimes people panic when they're having car problems and a little compassion goes a long way, but there was none given. read more
