I took my vehicle, a 2017 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid, to this repair shop for an oil change. According to…read moreToyota's official maintenance schedule, this vehicle requires an oil change every 10,000 miles when using 0W-20 full synthetic oil. However, the shop performed and charged for two oil changes within an interval of approximately 5,000 miles. I was not informed that the second oil change was unnecessary based on the manufacturer's recommendations, nor was I given a technical explanation justifying an early oil change. At no point was I advised that the service was redundant or optional. Had I been properly informed, I would not have authorized the second oil change. I attempted to contact the shop by phone and left a voicemail requesting clarification, but I did not receive a response. I believe this reflects a lack of transparency and failure to obtain informed consent for an unnecessary service. If you can't trust this shop with an oil change, image any other service.

They removed the custom tire stems that are designed to communicate with the car's computer the air pressure in each tire. I was shocked to find the stems changed to plain rubber stems. When I returned to report the problem to Kevin Otto he acted like all his people were innocent. There was something about that encounter that left me feeling violated. $1,100 tire stems gone, stolen from my tires. I wouldn't trust them with changing a tire on a tricycle.

A day later they called me to tell me it was fixed. It cost over $600 and they couldn't tell me exactly what was wrong. After having problems with the explanation, he finally just said, "The brakes were put on wrong". First, the brakes had been on the truck for over a year with no problems. Second, they didn't replace the brakes. The bill showed seals and labor. The emergency brakes weren't hung up any more so I left it at that but I'll never go back again.

Do yourself a favor before you or one of your family are in an accident due to their sloppy work. Is your families safety worth the risk if using incompetent mechanics?

Keith was transparent and kind throughout the restoration, providing updated timeframes and cost adjustments that made the whole ordeal much less stressful. They can't even tell me who they bought the part from so I can call myself, that's how disorganized they are.
