The guys at the shop are so helpful. My window regulator broke this morning on my BMW and was stuck on open on the hottest day and I called everywhere to get it fixed. After my phone call with them I got a quote. I brought my car to the shop and was immediately taken cared of. I thought it was going to take longer but it didn't. They are so efficient and so nice. This is now my fourth time using M Garage for another repair. I was having problems with my car rattling and making some weird noises, We took it in and found out that the rear brakes were worse off than they appeared in November and they needed to be replaced. Once again we came with very little notice and they were done within a few hours. the price was affordable and they fixed all of my car's little ailments. Side note: In response to the guy who accuses those of us giving positive ratings of being friends or family, I assure you I never knew about this place before I found them on Yelp! I am so relieved to have found them though because I trust them and feel like car repairs do not overwhelm or scare me anymore since I know where to go and what to do... I take my cars to M Garage. broke down on I5 had my car towed here. The owner and his wife are amazingly nice people with great customer service. He communicated well with me and called to keep me updated on the findings on the car. The service was done fast despite the holidays and New Year's Eve. He seemed to fix the car very urgently and got the parts for me fast. I don't know how much car parts cost or labor is regularly so I can't tell you if their price is cheap or expensive. I have not driven the car around a lot yet so I will update this post if the work was completed correctly and the issue stays fixed. So far the car is fixed and running well. read more

Had my car worked on not to long ago, as soon as i pulled in i was greeted by one of the mechanics and he immediately diagnosed my car, they gave me a price and i agreed to the work then they told me it was gunna be a few hours before the car would be done, so the owner gave me a ride home which was very nice of him, and i live in town by the time he dropped me off my car was finished i wS surprised at how fast my car was done and they also cleaned up my engine bay and topped off all my fluids for me which was very nice of them, its the little things like that, that make me want to go back and recommend them to all my friends and family, Great quick quality service and they also have great deals on oil changes which i really liked Thank you M garage ill see you guys again in the future read more

This is an excellent place to take your vehicle for all types of repairs. I brought in my 2016 Ford Focus that had an check engine light on and they checked the error codes for free, and suggested I bring it the ford dealership because it would most likely be covered under warranty work, which is was. 5 Stars! Power steering went out on my car, a Scion xB and I needed it fixed as soon as possible. Our favorite shop owner retired and we were not as happy with the srevice lately so we decided to taken it a new place. M garage had favorable Yelp reviews and gave me a fair price on the quote so we decided to try them out. They quoted the job would be 4 hours but if it was the electric power steering they would need to take it to the dealer to program the computer so it could be over a day. After inspecting and testing the vehicle it turned out to be the alternator and in addition the battery was not working(old battery). During the inspection they indicated the belt was not in the best shape and since the alternator was off and he had to put the belt back on anyway we went with a new belt. The price to repair with new alternator, battery and belt was lower than the low end quote. The best part is we got the car back the same day! Our sons got a kick out of the HotWheels wall of cars they had in the office. I will definitely be back. read more

This place has horrible service, went in there cause my gas tank was leaking. They said it was the fuel filter and replaced it, charged me for diagnostics and part + labor. Next day I check and it's still leaking from the same place, call M garage and drop it off and when I asked if they'd charge me for diagnostics again I got no straight answer. When the car is ready I pick it up and they charge me again for diagnostics, parts and labor even though it was not my fault that they messed up the first time. Leak was fixed but now my check engine light is on. I take my car to another shop and they said that it is on because the fuel pump is zip tied on. It angers me that I pay $500+ to a shop who just created more problems for me. I would advise everyone to avoid these scammers. read more

Run far away all of you uber and Lyft drivers!!!!!!!!!!! There is some shadiness going on in this garage!!! So on Saturday we took my son's car in to get the yearly check for uber!! Everything started out fine. The place wasn't that busy and the lady was nice!! It was great because it only took about 30-40 minutes!!! Nice. Get to the garage and the lady tells us that the car didn't pass!!!! Not good!! My son is in college and uber is how he makes his money. So we were pretty upset. She said that the car needs 3 new tires, the 2 front rims were so badly bent he needs new ones and the car is making a real loud noise when it turns . That most likely it's the suspension that they are going to have to open up and see what's wrong with it. Even the windshield wipes are really bad. So in my head I just can see the dollar signs just too get this car running again. They tell us that it's the weekend so they would have to give us a quote on Monday. I tell them that would be great. Thank you. I dont know what it was but I just had a feeling something was not right about all of this. So we drove the car up the street to Firestone tires. Showed them the work that was need on the car from M garage. Long story short. They said that nothing was wrong with the suspension it never even made any noise when it turned. The rims were fine they are road safe. The only thing that was need was the 3 new tires. That was awesome. It cost us 456.00. And they checked the windshield wipers and that was just fine. Fast forward too Monday. M garage calls with the quote for two new rims, two hubcapst and for 3 new tires. Over$ 800.00. They didn't even tell us how much checking the suspension was going to be. What the @@#$. This is not ok!!! People make a living with uber and Lyft. Don't take advantage of it . Don't make money off people !!!! read more

The people who all have given a good reviews for this dishonestly run shop are either his friends or family members. THIS SHOP RUNS BY DISHONEST CROOKS Here is my experience with them: When I was driving my 2001 sport BMW, all of a sudden the battery and temp lights turned on and the steering became hard. these were the signs that the fan belt may be busted. With the same condition I drove it home about 3 miles. Next day I looked in the google for a repair shop and found m garage with the best review. I called and explained the situation to "Nick". He advised to tow the car in. Next morning I towed the car there. After signing their paper they offered me a ride home until the diagnostic is done. I refused the ride and waited where they told me to stay which was outside the yard where the tech worked on it. Hour and a half later he said that the pully attached to the drive shaft (harmonic ...) is missing a pin and that is the problem. The price of that part was said to be $495. And the labor cost would be $250. At this time I called the shop in Fremont who always fix our cars and asked him if he had that part. He did. So I drove to fremont and paid for the part and quickly returned to Tracy, this was in the afternoon at around 5.00 pm. The next day the shop called and let me know that the car had far severe problem because it has been driven on no oil. He said "the crank shaft is bent" and there is no way you can drive it. I wondered how low oil would bend the drive shaft. I asked him what are my alternatives? He said only two options: 1- change the engine 2- repair the engine In either case it will cost a couple grand. I said okay, i will take the car out. He said: no you can't, if you take it out then we will not be responsible for anything. So, he left me with only the two choices he gave otherwise I could not move the car from that damn ghetto garage. He prepared a scenario that in either way I am obligated to pay a couple grand for fabricated story. He started the car in front of me and showed me the pulley connected to the crank shaft was rattling. I have to say that I had driven this car for four years and never had engine issue. I asked for a couple quarts of synthetic motor oil. He gave three quarts for $10 each. I put the oil and checked the gage. Started the car and drove home which was about two miles away while my daughter was following me. The water temp jumped to red area when We reached home. I looked under the car and saw water draining from under the engine. This was another issue that the car never had. I called this crook shop keeper and asked him why water is leaking? Here is his answer: ONCE YOU MOVED THE CAR OUT OF GARAGE, WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANYTHING. So either I had to pay this crook a couple grant to fix the damage he created or no other choice. I finally towed the car to my mechanic in Fremont to see what this crook has done to it. A possible law suit will be pursued. Please follow this developing story. read more

I was in need of an oil change and headlight replaced for my Mercedes C300. I did not feel like driving to Mercedes all the way in Pleasanton so my cousin referred me to this shop! She got an estimate for me in no time and I decide to come in first thing the next morning! Seems as if it is owned by the mother, father & son and they are such nice people! Great customer service goes a long way. I loved how the son really took his time on my car it showed how much he cared. Wished I remembered his name. He communicated everything he was doing to my car while I was in the waiting room which was nice. He even managed to get my side marker light to turn on, the face that he didn't have to and he did anyway speaks volume! I am only writing this review because I dont really want what happened to me t happen to anyone else ... I took my mercedes in to have the roof fixed because it is a convertible and it would not come back up after I had it down one day and they said yeah we can fix that no worries. well two days later they call me and say come and pick up your car. I get there and the roof is up but they said it still does not work so no charge and I say alright. They got the roof to go back up so that was good but the next day I try to lower it and it works fine both down and up. ? hmmm ? I look in the trunk and all of the panels are missing bolts and the fasteners are in the wrong place and some are just rolling around the trunk .. Bad ! So I give them the benefit of the doubt ok .. I buy a corvette and the roof is removable so one of the alignment pins is broken off in the rear so I go buy a new one from GM and bring it to them and ask the mechanic if he or they could drill out the old one and replace it with the one I purchased from GM and he says no problem I would have done it myself but I dont have an easy out to remove it, So later that day I pull up ask if it was done and they say come back were still working on it . No worries so I leave and I get a call 2 hours later saying the roof is done and I get there and the guy says that was hard and the cost is 200 dollars ? WHAT? No way right it was a little bolt that sheared off 20 minutes to fix right ? I said no way im not paying two hundred for that so we settle on 100 which is way way too much but I pay it due to my good nature. So I would not have had an issue until I am removing my top on my c6 vette today to clean it and I hear a rattle in the roof and it is the other half of the stud that was broke off and it is inside my roof rattling around in there so instead of telling me it is in there and we cant get it out they just let it stay there and I have to find out myself,,,.., urrrrg right now i am mad but thats not the only reason .. get this . The stud that they replaced is loose they did not even tighten it all the way in the existing hole that it went in to .. I mean cmon now ? everyone knows that you tighten a bolt when you put it in a hole .. except these guys I guess they dont know how ? RIDICULOUS OK .. WOW for 100 dollars they cant even give a bolt a couple more turns.. Why or how are they still in business is my question .. DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE ! I am promising you it will be a disaster . And how do places like this get away with such backyard mechanic money wrench goof off tactics for so long without being fronted off? Well I am not one too complain as they well know due to my repeated business and keeping my mouth shut but enough is enough ok .. If you do not say something about your experience at such places then others will be treated the same and it will go on and on .. My cars clutch started to make a very weird high pitched noise whenever it was depressed so I decided to change the clutch and flywheel. I called 4 different shops in Tracy when finally I was referred to M Garage. I called first and talked to Debbie and she had me booked for an appointment in no time. Brought my car in for my appointment and it was done by the next day. Zero complaints and it was literally $300 cheaper than any of the other shops I received quotes from. My daughter called and said her A/C was out in the 2002 Subaru WRX. It was and is over a 100° for over 8 days now. Probably another 3 days still to go. Can't let her melt in a hot car. Called my regular mechanic and he said he doesn't do A/C units. Gave a recommendation but Yelp! said they were so-so. Since I was already on Yelp!, I saw M Garage had a lot of women who've had a very good to excellent experience and reflected that in their reviews of this place. Called them up and asked if they had time to look at her car and they said no problem. Told them my daughter would be in later that morning. Based on what my daughter told me about her A/C, it sounded like a leak and not a condenser or an evaporator or pump. I was thinking less than $200. Turned out, they found a few o-rings that were worn out. They replaced them all and recharged the system. The Firestone shop on Holly,in town, told her about 9 months ago, she needed to replace to whole A/C system. Yeah, riiiiight! It works just fine now. They did it all in less then 4 hours and it cost $178. Not bad. Expected about that. Been a few days, she's cranking the A/C. Was 105°F today. No problems so far! read more

This place is run by a father and son and I would recommend them to anyone who wants a mechanic they can trust. Being a female who knows next to nothing about cars, I'm always worried I may be overcharged and wouldn't know it. I broke down in Tracy moving from the Bay Area to Sacramento. I took it to Aamco and their assessment was $1800. That was for spark plugs, spark plug wires, cap and rotor, fuel injector. My gut said they thought I would be desperate and dumb enough to not get a second opinion. I took it to M Garage, and Nate (the son) was very pleasant, polite and helpful. I got my car back costing me less than $400. I will go there again next time I need a mechanic, even from Sacramento. The piece of mind they provided me is priceless. read more

The reason i took my Ford F-150 to M Garage is because it overheated on i-5 going from LA to Portland, OR and they were the only ones willing to help me on a Saturday at 4:30, mins before closing. I ended leaving my truck in t heir shop and flying out to Arizona. I felt honesty from them so I didn't have an issue. Job well done. Overheated on the 580 6 miles out from Tracy because of a broken serpentine belt. Called em up at 3:30 and they had the new belt in before the tow truck got us there an hour later. 30 minutes later we're back out on the road.
