They've worked on my 2017 Ford Transit Connect, 2014 Mercedes GL63, and 2014 BMW X5. They replaced a driver-side CV axle, did oil changes, replaced brake pads and rotors, diagnosed and fixed an A/C and heater blower issue, repaired a trunk/liftgate problem, and also replaced a valve cover and gasket and battery. What stood out to me most was how knowledgeable, honest, and fair Samson and his team were throughout the process. The staff are friendly, the front desk is welcoming, and the customer service has been great. My AC Drier was cracked and inoperable since last year. In this region of the Sacramento Valley and Placer County, 916 Auto quote beat 5 shops I contacted in the region and 1 shop even told me it's not worth it and I should get a new car. Bet if my car was a 69 Camaro, they'd do it. Why? Cause its a Classic Camaro. No matter the condition. Some shops don't want to work on Imports. But oh well. Their loss, not mine. I contacted 916 Auto and spoke to Samson to schedule an appointment and he said to come by that very same day. And so I drove from Roseville to Gold River that morning. Samson is honest & to the point. When he pulled my car in, he noticed a coolant leak. Now I didn't notice any leaks in my driveway, as it would seem the Coolant is evaporating or dissipating, but he notice it was getting on my Alternator, by the stains. It turns out, my OEM water pump (factory part since 2003 for this model year in 2004) finally gave out at 262K miles. Who'd ever think a Mazda/Ford part would last this long. This was an unexpected thought as I only had budgeted for the quote. So I called my CFO (Wife) and let her know of the issue. She said get it fixed and she'll adjust other expenses as she knows I need AC for the upcoming summer temps. So I authorized Samson to proceed with the entire job. Now I can't couldn't do any price comparison, but he did give me a discount which still fit in my overall budget. I spent my whole day in their lobby. They have updated their lobby to make it feel more comfortable and less Auto Shop feel. I notice the many people who drop by to have their car service are all happy and are returning customers. From a Dealership oil drain plug that was torqued too tight, to oil changes, brakes, and even a customer who was a bit upset where the Dealership sent the wrong part twice. The Dealership. I spoke to many of them and they all had the same answer when I ask. "What made you come here?" They replied, "Their price can't be beat!". In summary, my AC is now working as it should. Now I only used my AC for 2 whole days It gets cold and it has been awhile since I have felt cold in my aging car of 22 years. With my new water pump installed as well, my car is running smoother overall. Smoother shifts, heater gets warm fast. Almost, now almost like it was in 2004. So, Did I find a new shop for my Project Commuter Car? Yes I sure did. They have gotten a new customer. Up next is my Transmission Gasket & plug. One thing at a time! Within about 90 seconds they could tell my AC compressor was blown and told me. The quoted me for the entire system replacement (because you have to because of the debris and warranties), didn't charge me for this visit and asked me to consider things and call them back to setup an appointment to get it done, if I wanted to. This shop is AMAZING and the team is fantastic! I'm still debating on the work to get done, but no matter what, this is a stand up shop and honest mechanics.

It's smog check up the road, and so I needed to drive it about 50 miles or so to "reset the car's computer, " before it would pass . I decided to stop here for an oil change before I did that, as the car was way overdue. I was helped by Mike. He's helped me before, he's always thorough, friendly, and helpful. He got me checked in, he told me the different options for an oil change, and I told him which one I wanted. They did the oil change, and I was out in about 15 to 20 minutes. The price was extremely reasonable. Everything was great. Before I left, on the side, I happened to mention that I had needed the oil change because of the smog check. He said, oh, before you take the car back to the smog shop, stop in here, we will do a pretest to make sure you drove enough to reset the computer. I said, no charge? Nope That was nice of him. I drove 45 miles "up the hill" to Pollock Pines, to look at all of the pretty new snow. I came back, it took less than five minutes to do the pretest, and he told me, "green lights all the way." I took the car back to the smog shop and passed with flying colors. As I mentioned, I've always gotten great service here at Danny's. Thank you, Mike, for taking that extra step for me. I needed a pre-purchase inspection (PPI) on a vehicle. Joel was familiar with the dealership where I was purchasing the vehicle. Joel told me that the dealership would deliver the vehicle to his shop. I appreciated this since my other option would have been to have a mobile PPI done at the dealership's lot. Mobile PPIs are not as thorough as PPI's done at a shop, where the vehicle can be put on a lift The dealership sent the wrong vehicle to Carcanix! Joel was not at the shop when the vehicle was delivered. The mechanic that took delivery of the vehicle only knew that a vehicle from the dealership was on its way and needed a PPI. The mechanic presumed that the vehicle delivered was the right vehicle. The mechanic performed the PPI. When Joel returned, Joel noticed that the vehicle received was not the one Joel expected. Joel called me and told me what happened. In short, Joel did the right thing and returned what I paid him for the PPI service. This of course is good business; others would have tried to find an excuse or come up with some reason not to return the funds or maybe only a portion. We had a good conversation about autos, auto industry and dealerships. It became obvious that Joel is a knowledgeable automobile enthusiast. Joel takes care of his customers' vehicles as if they were his own.
